Sorem was kind of excited to have a training partner. This is the first she had one and sheâs doing anything she could to at least impress Scott. So, she sat there practicing on controlling her flame more.
One thing she kind of noticed, that she frequently did, was setting things on fire without her consent. Whenever she gets jumpy, she would let out a medium size fireball aimlessly and thus burning anything near her. Sheâs bad at two things, aiming and creating, and she wonât let herself fuck-up infront of her training buddy.
Sorem positioned herself in a defensive form, her left foot forward with the right approximately 45° from the left. Her hand gradually producing a blue flame thatâs slowly getting bigger. Her vision was focused on the titanium mannequin in front of her with a target painted on its chest.Â
Sorem grinned, feeling her hand burst a powerful size of blue fire. She was ready to aim. She bent her knees, and let her right foot step back a little when she felt something move in the corner of her eye (that sorta looked like a little man?). It distracted her and thus losing her footing, âShit!â she cursed loudly, her voice echoing through the mildly empty room.Â
She lost her balance, releasing more blue fire than she intended to. Her once small blue fire was now encircling her. âOh fucking hell,â she muttered, staring at the mess she made. Somebody once told her that she was quite a powerful mutant with a rather unique pyrokinesis. She knows sheâs powerful, and sheâs doing everything she can to control it.
But so far, sheâs pretty much failing. âWhat the fuck was that?â Sorem exclaimed, looking around the room, slowly extinguishing the ring of fire surrounding her. âHello?â
Scott was so focused on his own training that he forgot that he said he was going to meet Sorem here. It took a lot out of him to get a feel for what it felt like to be small. It took even more to run around a room meant for actual people. on top of that he was trying to throw punches, lift things, all in order to get a feel for what was around him.
Even though the experience of being Ant-Man was very strange, he had to admit he was having fun. Maybe being this size and trying to be a hero instead of a thief could actually work. It was certainly growing on him. Scott was able to jump farther than usual, so agility related things were ridiculously fun in a way they never had been before. When he was a thief, which he still was but when he was an active thief, he always liked the sneaking around part but the part where he needed to be agile wasnât exactly what he enjoyed. This was much better.
Scott was minding his own business, doing more of the same when suddenly his suit seemed to be overheating. Really, really overheating. Scott looked up and âFUCK!â He fell backwards and started to scramble away, quickly becoming his regular size. Scott, now just a guy in a suit as opposed to a small guy in a suit, ran for a fire extinguisher. He turned around and started spraying, then he noticed who was in the middle of it all. âSorem!?â Scottâs helmet was still on, so he wasnât sure if sheâd recognise him. He gestured to the fire extinguisher in his hand. âWill this even put that out?â
