āfire in her bones, honey in her soul. sheās sweet when she has to be, and fierce when she needs to be.ā

Just stay put. Iāll handle it.
āitās a pleasā sorry, no formalities. itās great to finally meet you, serafina. im aleksi. however iāll happily answer to whatever names i anticipate you may come up with if itāll make you feel better about this whole experience.ā he canāt enjoy this too much, in hope his playful antics may encourage his future bride to crack a smile. however he doesnāt blame serafina for her reaction towards him. if aleksi hadnāt been a man so deadset on pleasing his parents, perhaps he may of allowed the cracks that withheld his own skepticism fall through. they expected him to come home a married man, whether or not he actually loved his bride. her query leaves a small bout of humured air to escape from aleksiās lips, looking down towards his feet. āof course, the whole idea of forced marriage belongs in the dark ages, and there it should of stayed. but alas, here we are. thereās no way i see that we can get ourselves out of this.ā
normally, a comment like that would have evoked a laugh and a warm smile from the notoriously laid back princess, but the thought of what was to come prevented her from doing so.Ā āiād say itās a pleasure to meet you, but i donāt think thereās anything pleasant about these circumstances.ā she said, glass of scotch bought back up to her lips as she downed the rest of itās contents, sliding the glass towards the bartender so he could refill it.Ā āitās truly a pity to see so many people giving up on the idea of true love and happiness simply because theyāve been brainwashed by their parents since birth to believe that this is what theyāre supposed to do. and the way everyone talks so nonchalantly about this as if it isnāt a big deal at all must mean iām the crazy one.ā
aleksiās eyeās search for her, the woman his parents had forced him to travel across the continent to marry in the name of world peace. perhaps in the back of his mind, he had manifested the character of the perfect companion, someone as dedicated to her rule apparent as his. however the young fin realises expectations and grand imagination were unlikely to be met completely. but heās hopeful. you have to remain that way in such a situation, right? he finally registers the womens identity in the midst of her response, long dark ash hair framing alabaster features. sheās beautiful. however the idylic moment doesnāt glaze over him for too long, the air or resentment, creases of displeasure within the corner of her eyeās send a strong message. āyour highness.ā he greets her, thick nordic accent upon his lips. āyour description didnāt do you justice, itās wonderful to finally meet you.ā
āitās serafina. iām not one for formalities.ā she said with a shrug. and that much was true. if she was to marry this man, she most certainly didnāt want him greeting her like just another stranger in the palace. then again, they were nothing but strangers, strangers who were being forced to spend he rest of their lives together. and the small talk and the compliments only made her skin crawl even more. her bluntness would be the death of her, but she was too infuriated to even care.Ā āso none of this..ā she said, hand motioning in the air as she turned to face him.Ā ābothers you in the slightest? marrying someone you donāt even know because of an incredibly, pardon my french, shitty solution, to end world conflict when itās merely just prolonging the inevitable?ā she said, letting out a laugh of disbelief. it seemed as if she was the only person in the entire world who found this to be absurd.Ā āfor fuckās sake, i must be the crazy one.ā
āfrom what i can tell, the weather in england is as temperamental as an infant child.ā koenraad remarks in passing, his gaze shifting across the sky. he canāt say he hates any kind of weather, it wasnāt as though the netherlands were wildly hot, if anything he was used to cool summers, moderate winters. he exhales quietly, āi sure hope thatās not accurate, you can always get a sunbed.ā itās spoken in jest, cocking a brow as he looks over at the other with a gentle smile. āitās funny ā how weāre allā¦set for a particular type of weather, iām not sure iād be able to survive the sun in monaco, and here you are craving it.ā he shakes his head, even the simplest of differences between the countries fascinated the future king.
āthat, or as dull and bland as itās...well, everything. but you didnāt hear that from me.ā she said, holding her finger up to her lips, letting out a smallĀ āshhā as her lips curled into a grin before dropping her finger to take another sip of her wine.Ā āof course, but thereās truly nothing like basking in the real sunshine. i do hope this whole summit circus goes rather quickly, itās yacht season back home and iād hate to miss out.ā she said with a sigh.Ā āa lot of people think they canāt handle it, but trust me, spend a week in my country and youāll never want to leave.ā
āiām not a puppet, seri.ā she mumbled, looking down. she didnāt understand why it was so hard for her sister to imagine that she actually wanted to do this. the blonde heard her Ā beloved sister speak and she felt terrible to not be on her side in a topic as important as this, but it was what it was. ālove? the man that i loved betrayed me. he did things to me that no one should do to someone you love.ā camilla said in a burst of anger. she hadnāt told serafina what had gone down for a reason, but it seemed like it was too late to take it back. āiām not brainwashed by anyone, seri. do you know how many unthinkable alliances have become a thing since the summits? how many conflicts we have been saved from? and do you have any idea how many economies would plummet if they stopped? if they stop, countries stop being monarchies ā imagine the mayhem of having so many different types of economy and political system. and imagine, what would happen to all of the royals, seri? some might get executed, if there is enough anger. there are so many things that depend on these weddings, and i am more than up for taking a part on it. think about it, seri, this is the only sacrifice that we have to pay in our entire lives. we take that one sacrifice for living the life we do, for living in the world we live in. and, frankly, i will happily pay that price so future generations can live in a peaceful world as well.ā
āthatās exactly what you are, camilla! youāre no better than anyone else in this palace thatās allowing this atrocity to take place and taking the easy way out!ā she said angrily, her volume escalating. camilla kept tings from serafina, as serafina did with her. after all, communication was never the girlās strong suits with one another. theyād fight like cats and dogs as little girls and when they grew up, they were just entirely different people, but that didnāt stop serafina from loving her and caring about her and wanting a better life for her.Ā āone person treated you wrong, so what? thatās life! that doesnāt mean that ever personās going to do that to you and that love is a lie, because itās not. and a girlās wedding day is supposed to be the best day of someoneās life, not a business contract!ā she said with a huff of annoyance.Ā āand do you honestly think that this is a permanent solution? that using these expensive, over the top weddings being paid by the tax payers dollars really solves world peace? it merely puts a lid on the pot but eventually itās going to boil over. and itās not our duty to comply with old traditions and to do whatever our parents tell us to do. itās our duty to come up with a better solution, to fight this atrocity and to ensure that a real solution is made instead of this pathetic excuse of one. how could you not see that?ā
āIāve never thought the crown makes us BETTER than everyone else, i completely agree with you on the principle that weāre here on this earth to serve our respective nations. i think it gives us more responsibilities. we have more burden on our shoulders than others our age, we have duties. and duties and responsibilities means we have to be more careful. in everything we do.ā she stated, still laying down on her bed. āwhatās wrong with tea and talking foreign policy? i happen to find those things quite fun, thank you very much.ā she stated, with a faux offended tone. she shook her head when Serafina said her mum would eventually be āoverā any mistake she could make. āitās not just her. England is a country built on tradition. we like it, we thrive on it. weāre resistant to change. and those āsilly rulesā, exist for a reason. they ensure harmony and peace, not just among nations but among individuals and society. rules keep us safe.ā
ābut that doesnāt mean we have to be so god damn serious all the time. i mean, itās just life and as long as we donāt become power hungry blood suckers who want to start a war again, i think weāll do just fine. but that doesnāt mean we have to sacrifice having fun in the process of that.ā she said with a shrug, yanking the red wig off her head before tossing it to the side. she plopped down next to diana on the bed, rolling her eyes at her words before letting out a laugh.Ā āfun is jumping out of airplanes and running through meadows filled with fresh flowers and getting so drunk in paris that you end up waking up in spain!ā she said, grabbing a pillow from behind her as she gently hit diana with it before tucking it back behind her head. as diana began to talk, serafina closed her eyes, letting out a loud, fake snore as she buried her face in her pillow.Ā āoh wow, would you look at that? all your blah, blah, blah, is boring me to death! letās get out of this stuffy palace and do something fun before weāre forced to be nothing but married baby producing machines.ā
Viktor had fits of laughter as Serafina took pains to catch him. āFuck.ā It was easy to topple someone so tall, and so he fell out of balance when she pushed him. It was a good thing he managed to stilt himself with an arm, or else he would have landed face-first on the pavement. The gates opened to make way for a limousine, and when he was finally able to catch up to her, they zoomed past it. āFirst you call Swedenās Queen a bitch, then its entire population a clutz. Monegasques are such spiteful people.ā They dodged hoards of tourists drawn outside the palace gates for the Summit. Most of them were hopeful to snap a picture of at least one royal, even if they were hidden safely in a heavily-tinted car. It took them a while to notice the Crown Prince of Sweden and the Crown Princess of Monaco had run under their noses, and when they did, they frantically snapped videos and photographs. Viktor turned his back only to see a few had started to chase after them. They were armed with their phones. He chuckled breathlessly. āShit.ā
she continued running towards the large, golden gates of the palace and her eyes immediately landed on what seemed to be thousands of people crowded outside. it was amazing how they all stood there, dying to get a peak in when she was yearning to get out. once the gates open, she jetted out of them, looking over her shoulder with a grin as she heard his words.Ā āno, no, mongasques are proper, polite, always sweet. itās truly a shame iām nothing like those sorry suckers.ā she said with a laugh, continuing to run alongside him as they managed to escape the palace. when she turned arund and saw a few people chasing them, she stopped in her tracks, immediately pulling viktor back and wrapping her arms around him, posing for pictures with a bright smile.Ā āhey everyone! have you ever wanted to see swedenās crown jewels?ā she asked, causing a rupture of applause from the crowd and without a second thought, she grabbed onto the waistband of viktorās pants and yanked them down, almost falling over with laughter as she watched the crowd cheer and photograph the prince in nothing but his boxers. leaving a smack against his behind, she quickly jetted towards the street, holding her hand out to stop a taxi cab.Ā ācāmon, sweet cheeks, i would hate to leave you here naked and afraid!ā
āopen bars are wonderful incentives to wear a penguin suit.ā the young crown prince jokes, quirking playful dark brows as he takes a sip of his drink. dinners and soireĆ©ās were something aleksi knew he could put of for only so long as a young man. he takes this moment to fiddle with his tie, tugging gently from the firm wrap it constricts around his throat.
she had been doing her best to avoid this moment, even praying that he wouldnāt show up at all. however, her hopes completely crumbled as she looked to her right and immediately took notice of him, the man she was being forced to marry. he was terribly handsome, and there was nothing wrong with him, but the thought of being forced to marry someone she didnāt love, didnāt even know, made her sick to her stomach, which caused her attitude towards him to be nothing but bitter. glass of whiskey balancing in between her fingers, she turned away from him, facing forward once more as she took a long sip from her drink. āi was going to say itās a free world, you can wear and do whatever you want, but clearly thatās not the case.ā
