once eleanor had regained her composure and realized who exactly it was that she bumped into it was hard not to get her blood boiling instantly. “princess diana,” the blonde replied curtly, not so sure her apology was what she would have first said to the princess. “it’s funny,” she began, shaking her head with a light laugh, “as long as your family has kept me away from him you would think that would be the first thing i go and do but for some reason i cannot bring myself to see him quite yet.”
diana noted the curtness in her tone, and she had to say that she empathised with the young princess. “well, i will say that you should see him and no one here will stop you from doing that. it might do him some good. might do you both some good.” she debated whether or not to tell him about his condition, not wanting the poor girl to be shocked when she finally met him but having been told explicitly by her parents to not discuss it. “you might want to know something before you see him though....”
“–Oh.” Mizuki had been so excited to visit England again and meet so many new people, she hadn’t even stopped to think about what it must be like for the people involved in the planning. “Look, you know what? I think we need to go find some tea and find a place to take a break from everything else– They can’t complain if I steal you for a few hours, right? I’m a guest.” She took a step closer, wrapping her arm around her friend’s shoulders. “Seriously, Di, I know you’ve put in a ton of work– the summit’s been gorgeous, that can’t have been easy– but it’s for you too. You can’t pour from an empty cup, no matter how much you try.”
diana sighed, exhausted. “theres still work to be done thought...” she had started to say when mizuki’s comment about how since she was guest, she could guiltlessly take some time off and spend it with her, made the british princess laughed. usually not the biggest fan of public display of affection, she accepted her friend’s reassuring hug. “oh thank you, darling. you don’t know how much you saying that means to me. i would love a cup of tea and your company of course.”
it was bittersweet to be back at buckingham after the events of the past few months. the young princess still wasn’t back to her usual self after her trauma and it was clearly showing to those around her. the summit was the last thing she wanted to think about and just wanted to see how james was but couldn’t bring herself to do it just yet. still feeling incredibly guilty for her part in all of this she attempted to clear her mind with a walk in the gardens. as she headed towards the door to outside her mind was so distracted that she didn’t even see someone coming the opposite direction before they collided. “oh no, i’m so, so sorry,” she lamented, “i suppose i need to pay better attention to where i’m going around here now.”
“oh don’t worry i’m perfectly fine.” assured the stranger before she got a good look of her face. the second she saw eleanor, guilt washed over her. “princess eleanor...” she hadn’t known the young girl very well, but well enough that she felt sorry for the situation she was now in, with her brother. it was hard enough for diana to deal with her brother’s amnesia, constantly worrying over him, but she knew it would have been quite something else had she been in austrian princess’s shoes. “have you seen my brother yet?” she carefully asked, slowly.
Mizuki laughed, the sound carrying through the hallway like ringing bells. She’d been spending the day trying to meet as many of the arriving people as she could– if she was going to be spending the next few months with them that was surely for the best, wasn’t it? Not that was going to be a challenge– they’d all been wonderful so far, including the person in front of her.
“You’ve got to tell me what happened next,” she insisted once she’d managed to get herself under control again, though the smile still remained on her face. “I’ve never heard of anyone getting that lost– especially now that there’re cell phones, right?”
“oh no, it’s not that i’m lost silly.” diana chuckled through the tears running down her face. “i’m just exhausted Mizuki.” she had refused to admit so to anyone else, but her friend had caught her at a vulnerable moment. she wiped the tears from her face, “planning for this summit just...drained me.” she knew Mizuki would understand her need for everything to be just right, and in trying to put everything in place constantly for months, diana had reached her exhaustion point. “i could just collapse right here.”

I’ve heard that she is ( BOSSY ) & ( FINICKY ) but can also be ( CLASSY ) & ( DRIVEN ). ( DIANA ) is arranged to marry (JOHN KRASINSKI, MICHIEL HUISMAN, RICHARD MADDEN, KIT HARRINGTON, ANY MALE FC). Rumor has it (she was in an abusive relationship). We hope you enjoy your stay at London!
TW: contains physical and emotional abuse mentions
Where do I even begin with this fairy princess that is Diana?
she is literally the princesse from your fairytale books, trust me
She’s the heir to the throne of England and honestly? She already acts like she’s the queen
Her childhood was strict. Her parents always expected the most from her. She had to follow so many rules . She knows every etiquette protocol in the book and sincerely follows all of them
Stickler for rules tbh
but she never really complained?? She happily played the part of an elegant and charismatic princess, never complaining about the public scrutiny that she had to face every second.
She perfectly fits the royal aesthetic. she’s a charismatic humanitarian, a fashion icon, a celebrity and great public speaker (Think the actual Princess Di). She’s beloved by the world
But behind the bright smile is a scared girl
See Diana was in a long relationship with this famous musician a year ago. this relationship was always in the public eye.It was an opposites attract kind of situation. She was attracted to how much of a rebel he was, how he never followed any rules or protocol. She was really, deeply in love.
And love blinded her. She was in this emotionally abusive relationship for a year. He belittled her, he eroded her self-esteem. But she never left him because she thought this was just a sign of their passionate love, that the person who loved her the most, also hurt her the most.
She didn’t actually leave him until one day the emotional abuse became physical. He slapped her over some trivial thing and all of a sudden, she realised what was going on.
It was two of her best friends (connection!!) who ultimately got her to leave him. She’s forever grateful to them.
no one besides these two knows what happened.
Despite such a failure at love, she refused to let her faith in it die. She’s a romantic at heart, though she tries to hide it.
also so bossy, like especially over her siblings
and SUCH a perfectionist my god
has a puppy corgy called winston after winston churchill cause this girl’s be a history nerd
went to oxford and has a masters in political science
Now connections!!
I definitely want her two best friends and other than that give me everything!! Exes on good terms, exes on bad terms, enemyship, flirtationship, frenemies, EVERYTHING!!
Perfectionism is very addictive because it is very seductive. It’s so great to think ‘There’s a way I can do things where I can never be held in judgment by other people, that I can totally escape criticism.’ But it doesn’t work.

“So harsh,” he whistled, retracting his hand and stuffing it into his pockets. And, unsurprisingly, so busy. Though, he imagined that she was simply making up the work, saying whatever she needed to to get out of this conversation. He did always admire how dedicated she could be. “So important that you can’t spare a minute to talk to an old friend?” He grinned again, unable to let it go. He had his mind set on pestering her, and oh did he enjoy the way she looked when she was angry. “Well, why don’t I walk you to your important state matters, hm?”
she flashed him a forced smile. he had called her bluff, she really didn’t have to be somewhere else. “that is very nice of you to offer, but really you don’t have to. i’m sure there must be other things you need to attend to. your fiancee perhaps?” it was odd, she had to admit, having her ex live in her own home. get married, in her own home. after they had parted ways, Diana would have preferred not seeing Kane if she could help it. but now, she couldn’t.
