Amelie had to admit, she couldnât say it was wrong because he wasnât. She felt a nervous feeling rising in the pit of her stomach though. Part of her felt like she should go tell her brother, but did she have the time to change and go see him. Would he even want her too, she knew part of coming here was about tasting freedom and trying new things even if it scared her and this. This scared her more then sheâd admit. She had never gone anywhere without at least two guards and or her brother.  When he questioned her attire, she looked down on herself. She wasnât even certain she had street clothes. Perhaps the dresses she wore to sunday mass would be her best option.  âWait, when will I see you in your military frocks?â She questioned as the duo made their way out of the music room and heading toward the guest wings. Â
âWhen I get married, I guess,â he replied with a shrug. He wasnât planning on getting married. At least not to a bride hand-picked for him in the First Summit. Viktor was a free-spirit, and so he loathed being told what to do. Heâd rather die than push through with a forced engagement, even if his bride-to-be did end up being likable. He turned the corner. He still had a long way to his suite. âSpeaking of marriage, have you met your future husband already?â He said this with a slight hint of mockery. He couldnât help it. He really hated how they were being forced into marriage like slaves.Â

âis that so? well, the thank heavens iâm not a lady.â she said with a grin. she was never one to take etiquette seriously, after all. âthen you clearly donât have any tastebuds. itâs almost as bland as their food. do they not believe in seasonings here?â she said with a scoff and a roll of her eyes. âstunt double, circus acrobat, all of those seem like feasible options. maybe iâll leave the crown to my sister and run off, after all.â she said with a laugh and if she didnât care so much about her country, thatâs just what she would have done/ watching him as he made his way down. her eyes narrowed at him as he picked the leaf from her hair and before she could comment back, he was running towards the gates. âi have on heels and a dress and you have longer legs, you son of a bitch!â she yelled after him. but that wouldnât stop her. immediately, she began running after him and once she managed to catch up, she shoved into him before sprinting ahead. âwow, and i didnât know you swedes were so god damn clumsy, get it together, nilsson!â she said, bursting into a fit of laughter as she continued to run.
Viktor had fits of laughter as Serafina took pains to catch him. âFuck.â It was easy to topple someone so tall, and so he fell out of balance when she pushed him. It was a good thing he managed to stilt himself with an arm, or else he would have landed face-first on the pavement. The gates opened to make way for a limousine, and when he was finally able to catch up to her, they zoomed past it. âFirst you call Swedenâs Queen a bitch, then its entire population a clutz. Monegasques are such spiteful people.â They dodged hoards of tourists drawn outside the palace gates for the Summit. Most of them were hopeful to snap a picture of at least one royal, even if they were hidden safely in a heavily-tinted car. It took them a while to notice the Crown Prince of Sweden and the Crown Princess of Monaco had run under their noses, and when they did, they frantically snapped videos and photographs. Viktor turned his back only to see a few had started to chase after them. They were armed with their phones. He chuckled breathlessly. âShit.â

Viktor was running out of ways to distract himself from mourning over Irene, so when he learned his best-friend-since-diapers had already arrived in Buckingham, he was over-the-moon. With a couple of bags in tow, he burst into Eliasâ room unannounced, only to be met by the sound of a running shower. âI bring video games and pizza for His Royal Highness. You better not be fucking anyone in there, since I cleared todayâs schedule just for you.âÂ
I refuse to die ordinary.

âSome of us donât take pleasure in lying to our parents.â Amelie responded, âBesides, my guards would have told on me, my parents.. â Amelie hadnât gone anywhere in her whole life without at least two guards on her at all times, it was the best way for her parents to ensure her chaste behavior never changed. At his comment about them posing as a couple on their honeymoon, certainly added a new tint of red to cheeks, that wasnât seen before.  She didnât seem the harm, she doubted anyone would even really ask, âHow many times have you done this ploy before? It sounds like a really rehearsed story to think of on the spot.â She questioned with a light chuckle.  âWell if we are going out as commoners, you canât go out dressed like that. You look to princely.âÂ
â... arenât here. And I donât see your guards anywhere, either.â Viktor pretended to count with his fingers. âOne... two... twenty?â He grinned. âThis plotâs new. Iâm a congenital schemer. Ploys come naturally to me.â And it was true. At the age of seven, he could plan his way into sneaking out his lessons for playing in the dirt. When he was a teenager, he had the habit of exploring Stockholm, all the while masquerading as a commoner. When he flew to the US for college at MIT, his friends never knew he was the actual Crown Prince of Sweden. When they learned about his lineage as he was being chased by the paparazzi, the shock on their faces was priceless. He glanced at his button-down shirt, which was tucked into slacks. He was usually more casual in his choice of clothes, but during the Summit he needed to dress up for his daily meetings. âThis looks princely to you?â he said, brow raised, lips turned up into a cheeky smile. âWait until you see me in my military frock... But alright, Iâll change into street clothes. You do that, too. Meet you back here in ten minutes?â
