So, genuine question: it's known you shouldn't give the Fae your name. That potentially gives them magical control over you, could allow them to steal your identity, and just generally will cause all sorts of other problems.

But if you're, say, trans, what name gives them power? Would they need your deadname that you were given at birth, or is it the name you chose for yourself that you now go by that is considered more powerful? Imagine how wonderfully validating it would feel to give them your deadname only for it to be worthless to the Fae. Or how tragically validating it would be for your chosen identity to be what has power, only to be used against you.

I mean, you shouldn't give either name to the Fae just to be safe, but still. It's something to consider.
