Like Vergil could be forcing them to work together, or they could have just met at a nightclub, and the readers doing shit like handing Dante a black card saying “here go buy yourself some real clothes” or she buys him a high end cologne with the excuse “here, you can’t be walking beside me smiling like shit”, OR she hears his one liners and is like “god you actually think your cool” but she turns around so he can’t see her smirking at it.

You don’t have to expand on all of this, I would just LOVE to know your take on a character dynamic like this.

New year’s eve surprise, I'm alive!

Doing Kinktober totally killed me and I have had zero motivation to write since. Plus I have gotten really into a couple games. When I got sent this question, I liked the idea and intended to respond casually, but then I got into it and wrote a little thing. ^^;

I’m still trying to get back into writing though so don’t expect much too soon, sorry. :<

You would be everything Dante hates, especially if you brush him off when he tries to get you in bed.

Of course, he will try to fuck you the first time he sees you, you’re hot as hell! He’ll throw out his corny lines and show off how much of a punk he can be. But when you respond with not just laughter but flaunting your money and class, all interest will be lost.

“Fuck you and everything you are. You and your people are the ones ruining this city and the world.” Dante would spout at you before flipping you off and storming away.

And then he finds you at The Order’s hideout and he is seething.

He knows that Vergil plays the roll of a pompous rich guy for his adoptive family, as the president of his company, and to gather info, but why did he have to bring one of his fake friends into the group?

In reality you two are real friends, having known each other since you were in private school.

Fine, whatever, your job is to give info and go undercover in affluent circles. Dante was a bruiser, fighting demons. You two shouldn’t have to spend time together.

“What you discovered, Dante, could be the turning point in this battle.” Vergil said to begin the meeting. It was Vergil, Kat, Dante, and you in his office. Vergil stood at the front, Kat to the side like a mediator, Dante sitting atop a table, and you between. Your outfit stood out in the dark room, which made Dante not even want to look at you, or at least less than he already didn’t. You also had the gall to touch up your damn makeup. God, Dante wanted to slap that overpriced slop from your hands. “But we have to confirm Phineas’ claim before going forward. My friend here has an… interesting idea.” Vergil seemed a bit uncomfortable, which was rare for him.

“It’s simple.” You shrug like you had everything figured out, at least that’s how Dante saw it. “Lilith’s monthly orgy party is coming up. I got invited, again. She really doesn’t give up, the gold-digger. Anyway, I go in with a sexy dude and see if Lilith takes a dicking or if she sits out and just soaks up the energy.” You explain as you dust more bronzer on your chin, eyes glued to the compact mirror. “My partner and I don’t even have to participate. It’s probably better if you don’t honestly, but you know how it can be sometimes.” You glance over to Dante, and for a moment he starts smirking in agreement, but the fact that its you makes him squash the thought.

“Right,” Vergil gave a solemn nod, as if he was about to make some hard decision or sacrifice. “so I will go-”

“That won’t work.” You cut in, closing your compact with a sharp snap. “I’ll take the street rat.” You make a head motion towards Dante. Both twins looked shocked and offended.

“Fuck no.” Dante retaliated immediately, his eyes turning to the side of your head with a burning glare.

“May I ask why?” Vergil inquires in a calmer tone, through his discontent was still evident like a cloth laying over rippling water.

“Because everyone knows you’re a prude who can barely look up from his work to socialize, let alone fuck anyone.” You answer, which forces a scoff of amusement to shoot out of Dante, but he was able to conceal it as one of annoyance. “You suddenly showing up to an orgy would make you even more suspicious then you already are. Your bother here is the only other one hot enough to convincingly be my plus one. Well, the only guy.” Your eyes slide over to Kat, who visibly tenses up. "You're quite the looker yourself. I would love to take you shopping, maybe fix up that hair of yours a bit. I already have some gorgeous alt fashion ideas for you." You spoke with such confidence, and with a light of excitement in your eyes. It was enough to make Kat blush a bit and look down, but her body was still tense in difference. "Unfortunately, though, demons like Lilith and her angels get their power from men, so bringing a guy is a requirement to get in."

And so, the plan was set.

Dante objected, of course, arguing and trying to get out of it. But Vergil and Kat got on him with the speeches of “its for the world”, “you are the only one that can do this”, and “this is the best way to get to Mundus and make him pay for what he’s done”.

So now he is here in some stupid department store to get decent clothes.

“Jevala Kalyal just released their new winter line so we’ll start there.” You say as you slide your designer shades up onto your head and then turn to a mirror to reposition your hair after being out in the autumn wind.

“I’m not gonna let you dress me up like your Ken doll.” Dante spat back, already on edge from being with you and now it was worse with the hags around with more plastic in their body then muscles glaring at him.

“Please, I have better fashion sense than that.” You scoff, seemingly amused by his sharp tongue rather than insulted. “But don’t worry, I’m not going to force you to wear something you don’t want to.”

For a moment, Dante saw something on your face. Pain? Regret? Anger? It was so brief and you so quickly started leading him through the store that he didn’t have a chance to study it. Not that your rich girl problems mattered to him, he was just… caught off guard.

Just like how he was caught of guard when you let him into a section of the 4 floor department store with a darker vibe. Muted colours, leather, purposely disheveled designs, sewn in patches in a bit more thoughtful design then people casually customizing their own clothes.

“Alright, so,” You began with a clap of your hands, summoning 2 staff members like they were servants. “you have a good base here,” You motion up and down Dante’s outfit. “we just want to upgrade it. Cleaner cuts, decent smells, you get it.” The staff members you had seemingly summoned from the either nodded and started scurrying around to gather options.

“A good base?” Dante repeats, his scared brow raising along with one corner of his lips into a smirk. “You saying I’m hot?” You scoff and roll your eyes. “Wait, didn’t you say something similar before?” His smirk grew when your cheeks flush lightly and you turn your head away aggressively.

“Shut up and get to the changing room. I’ll tell you what to try on.” You demand, your eyes locked on a pair of distressed designer jeans on a rack in front- of you.

“Alright,” Dante gave a little chuckle but didn’t move away yet. Instead he leaned in and lowered his voice so only you would here the sultry tones. “now that I know you have good taste, I’ll let you dress me up a bit, Barbie.”

Before you can respond, Dante struts off towards the changing room with a smug smile as if he had just found the opponents opening and was about to abuse the hell out of it.

5 Tiny Writing Tips That Aren’t Talked About Enough (but work for me)

These are some lowkey underrated tips I’ve seen floating around writing communities — the kind that don’t get flashy attention but seriously changed how I write.

1. Put “he/she/they” at the start of the sentence less often.

Try switching up your sentence rhythm. Instead of

“She walked to the window,”

try

“The window creaked open under her touch.”

Keeps it fresh and stops the paragraph from sounding like a checklist.

2. Don’t describe everything — describe what matters.

Instead of listing every detail in a room, pick 2–3 objects that say something.

“A half-drunk mug of tea and a knife on the table”

sets a way stronger tone than

“There was a wooden table, two chairs, and a shelf.”

3. Use beats instead of dialogue tags sometimes.

Instead of:

"I'm fine," she said.

Try:

"I'm fine." She wiped her hands on her skirt.

It helps shows emotion, and movement.

4. Write your first draft like no one will ever read it.

No pressure. No perfection. Just vibes. The point of draft one is to exist. Let it be messy and weird — future you will thank you for at least something to edit.

5. When stuck, ask: “What’s the most fun thing that could happen next?”

Not logical. Not realistic. FUN. It doesn’t have to stay — but chasing excitement can blast through writer’s block and give you ideas you actually want to write.
