Some non-monogamous flags, redesigned!
I recently found this polyam flag design, made by u/opensofias of reddit, and I wanted to base some of my own poly- flag redesigns on it :]
Polyamory (polyam): The capability or desire to be in a relationship with more than one person at once. Polyamorous can be used both as a description of a relationship with more than two people and as description of people who desire such relationships. Polyamorous relationships can include or be defined by any type of attraction, not just romance.
Blue - openness and honesty among all partners
Black - solidarity with those who must hide their polyamorous relationships from the outside world

Polyplatonic (polypl): The capability or desire to be in a queerplatonic or intimate platonic relationship with more than one person at once. Polyplatonic can be used both as a description of a relationship with more than two people, and as description of people who desire such relationships. Polyplatonic is an identity is similar to polyamory, but specifically refers to queerplatonic and intimate platonic relationships.
Green - the opposite of red (which is a romantic color)
Purple - the opposite of the yellow pi symbol on the polyamory flag
The other colors do not have meanings and were chosen to resemble the polyamory flag
Since the original colors of the polyplatonic flag have little meaning, I decided to make a version with my own colors! I much prefer this one, but I figured Iβd include a redesign with the original colors for sake of clarity.
Yellow - platonic attraction and relationships
Yellow & Pink - queerplatonic attraction and relationships
White - fluidity and vastness of experiences
Black - stability and shared experiences

Polyaffectionate (polyaff): The capability or desire to be in a relationship with more than one person at once. Polyaffectionate can be used both as a description of a relationship with more than two people, and as description of people who desire such relationships. Polyaffectionate relationships are based on tertiary attractions, such as intimate platonic, queerplatonic, and alterous relationships.
While not aro-exclusive, the term βpolyaffectionateβ was coined within the aromantic community as an alternative to polyamorous, due to its strong association with desiring multiple romantic* relationships, and discomfort with the βamorousβ label.Β
Green - connection to the aromantic spectrum and/or the distancing of oneself from romance
Yellow - platonic attraction and relationships
Yellow & Pink - queerplatonic attraction and relationships
Blue - alterous attraction and relationships
Grey - refers to the grey areas of attraction, relationships, and society in general

*While polyamory isnβt inherently a romantic label, not every non-monogamous person is comfortable associating with romance, even tangentially.
