This Food Processor Wins Me Over!
Having a quality food processor is very important when you are a cook or a baker. If you are not familiar with what a food processor is, it's very similar to a blender. One of the main differences is that food processors require little to no liquid to operate versus a blender which needs liquids to be able to blend all the ingredients evenly. Food processors normally have multiple functions from slicing up fruits and vegetables to grinding all types of nuts to even creating a puree.
You can find manual and electronic processors but I want to bring your attention to the best, and that is the KitchenAid 9-Cup Food Processor! It includes the ExactSlice™ System which easily slices soft to hard foods at different speeds giving you the option of blending your food and making it as thick as you may want or as thin. With a 3-in-1 Wide Mouth Feed Tube you are able to adjust to three different widths for processing different size foods all in one machine.
It is a bit on the pricier side with a price point of $179.99 however, it is worth it! Just like when you buy any other appliance, you want to get the best and spending a little more will help you in the long run. You don’t want to keep buying cheap food processors which end up breaking anyways, invest in one just like you would with another appliance.
All detachable features are dishwasher safe which means no need to manually get in the corners of the machine and clean out any food that may have been stuck. Because let's face it, no one likes doing that!
I use my KitchenAid Food Processor to make my own almond butter! View below for the delicious recipe I use:
3 cups of dry and unsalted almonds
Process until the nuts go from coarsely chopped, to crumbly, to finely ground. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
Process again until the almonds resemble a thick and relatively smooth almond butter.
