     â miss me? â
calling all yugioh arc-v fans! Iâve been thinking that Arc-V needs a little more life in it...so how about a DISCORD SHIP SERVER run by yours truly with the help of some friendly mods? currently weâre in the midst of setting up a lot of the categories.
so come JOIN US and have some fun!
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
None of them were following along with this, and for a moment, the mixed reactions from the four were almost enough for Zarc to end this âtalkâ of theirs here. If it hadnât been Rayâs idea, then he wouldâve let them figure out the rules of picking mates like he hadâon his own. But a well timed huff had him going on anyway.
âThatâs the right answer for someone who doesnât mind paying the consequences. That cookie couldâve been dropped in the trash and you wouldâve never known.â
âYou do things all the time without thinking about the consequences,â Dark Rebellion points out, defending his sister if only to insult Zarc. He was protective of them all, but most of all, he wanted to annoy Zarc to the point of ending this silly talk. Bring it up the younger ones but he certainly didnât need it.
âBe nice to papa, Rebellion, heâs only doing the best he can,â Starve Venom coos, the insult thinly veiled behind the loyalty. Dark Rebellion rolls his eyes and shakes his head just as his sister grins at their younger siblings. âClear Wing wouldnât care much for the cookie, but maybe an apple?â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
The returned look from Odd-Eyes and Clear Wing told him that none of the four knew what heâd been leading into with that. He wasnât so much concerned about the two youngest. He knew the history of their girls and theyâd passed his standards. Starve Venom didnât seem to have the drive the other three possessed, so she wasnât the target for this either.
But Rebellion and his chase for other things-
âThen let me compare this to something the four of you can follow,â Zarc spoke up, his fingers drumming impatiently on the arm of his throne, âThereâs a single cookie left for you to eat. Youâre hungry, but you donât know where that cookie has been, whatâs happened to it, or how many others have touched it. Would you still eat it?âÂ
âI donât like sweets, so of course not,â Dark Rebellion replies, clearly not following whatever strange analogy their father was trying to come up with. Glancing at his siblings, all he saw were mixed reactions before glancing back at Zarc.
âWhy not?â Starve Venom pipes up, clearly more interested in the idea of food than the analogy as well. Perhaps bringing up something like that wasnât the best route after all. âItâs still food and unlikely to be tampered with. Why waste it?â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
Smart, but wrong. Rebellionâs answer was just enough for Zarc to wonder where heâd gone wrong in life to raise a hatchling as clueless as him. This talk was meant more for the youngest of the flight, but clearly Rebellion could learn a thing or two, tooâeven if his choices in mates werenât exactly what Zarc approved of himself.
âDo you really think giving this kingdom some unwanted heir is the only thing you have to worry about?â Zarc gave another unamused huff, âJust because youâre both male doesnât mean you know where that birdbrainâs been. Or where his other play thingâs been either.âÂ
âIâm afraid I donât follow,â Rebellion replies evenly, though he doesnât look like he particularly cares to know, either. Heâd never been intimate with Shun and wasnât even positive that he was reading their situation right anyway...so really, what did it matter?
âItâs hard to follow if youâre too busy thinking with other things, Rebellion,â Starve Venom teases, but the look of confusion that had passed across her face moments before betrayed that she, truly, was lost at what Zarc was hinting at now.
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
âHey! Sheâs not stupid! And it ainât like Iâm the only one here goinâ gaga over someone else either, so back off! âSides, what about Odd-Eyes and that Yuzu girl? You canât tell me you havenât seen that, too!â
âClear Wing! I told you itâs not like that!â Odd-Eyes protests before Clear Wing comes back with an equally fast, âJust âcause they arenât sneakinâ in each others rooms as much doesnât mean heâs free, too!â
âYou four shouldnât be sneaking into anyoneâs room, your female prisonerâs or not. This isnât just about the obvious,â And no, he hasnât a pregnancy scare with his âpreciousâ Ray yet, but heâd call the oldest of the flight out regardless, âDark Rebellion. Your bird friend. Do you know how many other people heâs seen before you?â
âDonât lie, the two of you are stupidly obsessed with a bunch of humans and wonât accept that theyâll be dead long before you,â Starve Venom throws out once she tosses her braid over her shoulder and smirks at Clear Wingâs attitude. Dark Rebellion glares at her before turning his attention back to Zarc.
âI do, actually. One. His name is Kaito,â he replies as calmly and evenly as he can; he doesnât know, actually, and can only guess by what heâd seen on trips to Uchuujin for diplomatic reasons. He highly doubted Shun and Kaitoâs close bond was for diplomacy. âBut I donât think thatâs of any concern, is it? After all, weâre both male.â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
âYeah, but itâs not like any of us wanna listen to something like this anyway,â Clear Wing chimed in from the back, âCanât you just cut us some slack ân-â
âNo! Even if I could, youâre the last one Iâd let go without a talk, Clear Wing! You and your precious âRin-Rinâ are the entire reason why weâre even having this conversation!â A fact that the rest of Clear Wingâs siblings had probably already pinpointed as Zarc snapped back. The second youngest of the next never had been subtle with his feelings for his human, let alone how much he enjoy her attention, too.
âBasically, the four of you are old enough to choose mates if you wish and two of you have been heavily hinting at your female prisoners as your picks. Rebellionâs chasing a different kind of tail and youââ Zarc motioned at Starve Venom, âI honestly donât know where to bring you into this.â
âHeâs right, we are having this talk because of your stupid little girlfriend, Clear Wing. I told you that,â Starve Venom interjects, sending an unimpressed glance her brotherâs way. Clear Wing clearly didnât understand that literally adoring Rin to the point of more than puppy love was the problem they all had here.
âYes, well, at least you acknowledge that youâre not getting heirs from me like the others,â Dark Rebellion grumbles, glancing between his siblings before pushing a snarky âworried about pregnancy, isnât he?â over their flight link.Â
Starve Venom barely suppresses a snicker at the thought. âWho knows,â she muses, âmaybe heâs had a pregnancy scare or two with his precious Ray?â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
Zarc would have to compliment the four; they were actually efficient in managing themselves when they had to, but that still wouldnât stop another irritated clack of claws against the arm of his chair as the King drummed his fingers.Â
At least his broodâs favorites seemed to have some sense of what was going on.
âI donât want to have to explain this any more than you want to sit here and listen, but whether you like your female captive or not, you canât deny that youâre all old enough to start realizing you want certain things.â
âThis is going to be humiliating, isnât it?â Starve Venom pipes up, echoing what she was sure were Dark Rebellionâs sentiments about the situation; after all, all of them ( minus Zarc, somehow ) knew that Dark Rebellion had been dealing with feelings for not any of the princesses, but instead their brother, for quite some time.
âVery, but let him continue so this is over with,â Dark Rebellion mumbles, casting a glare Starve Venomâs way. His sister simply gives him a bored shrug.
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
âRebellion, câmon on!â Before their fatherâs voice could lash out at Rebellion again, the youngest of the four jumped in between his oldest brother and their flightâs leader. Odd-Eyes had never liked fighting, especially in between the four of themâand the desperate look he shot at Dark Rebellion was enough to prove just that.
âNone of us really want to be here right now, but can you please just calm down and listen to what he has to say? I know this doesnât really concern you, but itâll be over a lot faster if you just stop fighting and let him talk. OkayâŠ?âÂ
Obviously the reason for part of this conversation fell on him and his friendliness toward Yuzu, so Odd-Eyes would make up to him. He just needed Rebellionâs cooperation first.
      â...fine.â
Odd-Eyesâs interruption was enough to redirect Dark Rebellionâs focus; he was the eldest and taking care of his brothers and sister came above all else. Plus, if he was going to listen to anyone, it was going to be Odd-Eyes. He had a soft spot for his youngest brother and that much had always been obvious.
âAt least he listens to you,â Starve Venom drawls, twirling a lock of hair around a claw. âWhich I think is an improvement to his horrible attitude. Can we just get this over with?â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
Zarc was a lot less bothered by Dark Rebellionâs attempt at using that fact against him than what the oldest of the flight was probably expecting. Ray was his to do with what he wanted, and if he wanted to dominate her in that way as well as through status, then that was his choice.Â
What he didnât appreciate, however, was Rebellionâs obvious attitude that was thankfully put into place by Starve Venom before heâd had to interfere.
âBecause,â Zarc finally huffed, his attention never faltering from Rebellion, âThis involves those two especially, but itâs a conversation that you two need to hear regardless of yourâŠtastes. So I expect you both to listen.â
âFine, but can we preface this by reminding you that you have three sons and one daughter in the room? You know, in case you forgot what your eggs hatched into like you always do?â Dark Rebellion asks with a glare, Starve Venom ruffling; it was a rather sore spot for her that she meant so little in Zarcâs mind that he would constantly forget her gender.
      âRebellionââ
âIâve not said anything thatâs not true. Itâs not like he cares about us, heâs simply having this talk to save face and Iâm uninterested.â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
âYouâre as outspoken as ever,â but if the Supreme Kingâs face said anything, he wasnât amused by Rebellionâs retort either. Oldest of the nest or not, testing his patience was not appreciated right now, especially when his only reason for speaking was to call him out on that.
âThere are two of you who are more attached to your female companions in particular than what I wouldâve expected, especially since theyâre meant to be your prisoners. Not your friends.â Not that Zarc was someone who could talk, but, âIf it wouldâve been the oldest among you, maybe this talk wouldnât have happened. But because itâs the youngest of your fourââ
âYou say that as if you donât mate with your own prisoner on a weekly basis,â Rebellion replies before huffing at a swift hit to the stomach from Starve Venom, the second eldest clearly trying to shut her nestmate up. While Dark Rebellionâs distracted by trying to catch his breath, Starve Venom speaks up.
âWith all due respect, father, if your problem is only with Odd-Eyes and Clear Wing, why call Rebellion and I here? I want nothing to do with the human wenches, and Rebellion has...other tastes,â she says with a hint of disgust. âSurely we can be excused from the conversation?â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
âThe four of you are old enough to start making your own decisions now, so I think itâs about time you heard something before anything else ends up getting out of hand. I donât want to be responsible for any of your own mistakes because someone accuses me of not teaching you how to handle yourselves.â
Not that this topic was Zarcâs problem. Heâd had to learn about his views on chasing Ray all on his own, but since his four âsonsâ were technically connected to him, then heâd get this over and out of the way just to say heâd done it.
âEspecially when it comes to the females youâve been presented with either.â
Starve Venom casts a glance towards Clear Wing and Odd-Eyes in confusion, keeping her mouth shut just as Dark Rebellionâs eyes narrowed suspiciously. The females theyâd been presented with â he meant Ruri and her sisters, clearly. Heâs not sure he wants to ask the next question, but he might as well.
âMistakes?â Dark Rebellion thinks on it before he canât help himself and continues with, âLike Ray?â
âRebellion,â Starve Venom hisses, sending him a glare.
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
âRrgh! You keep talkinâ and Iâll hold my hand to yourââ
âEnough!â
The irritated snap from Zarc was accompanied by an annoyed beat of his tail against the tile of the throne roomâs floor. Clearly he wasnât in any mood to listen to any squabbling among the four, even if sending Starve Venom to collect Clear Wing probably asked for it; but with Dark Rebellion and Odd-Eyes present and quiet, heâd almost expected the other two to take a hint.
âIâd figured the two of your wouldâve settled your arguing before you both wouldâve made it here, epecially you, Starve Venom. I told you to go and collect Clear Wing, not bring your mouths back with you.â
âApologies, father,â Starve Venom murmured quickly, shooting Clear Wing a dark look â theyâd settle this later. Quickly, though, she pulled Clear Wing into line beside their siblings, all quiet and silently observing Zarc. None of them clearly wanted to test Zarcâs patience; theyâd learned quickly it only led to disaster.
âSo what did you call us here for?â Unlike his younger nestmates, Dark Rebellion didnât use any titles for their so-called parent; Zarc wasnât their anything. He had been the flight leader since they were hatched and he didnât take well to Zarcâs intrusion.
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
Clear Wing landed with a confident huff; the dragon folding his crystal-like wings back behind him while he actually waited for Starve Venom to catch up. At least heâd won their race, so even if his sister had wanted to tease him over the fact sheâd prodded him into following, she couldnât.Â
But now that they were here with their father waiting on them just inside the two balcony doors-
âYou sure we ainât here to get in trouble? âCause Iâm not exactly likinâ this feelinâ.âÂ
âI never said we werenât in trouble, but do you really want to back out and have him hunt you down? Because thatâll be unpleasant for you and your icy toy.â Starve Venom cocks her head back at her sibling before rolling her eyes. Honestly, it wasnât surprising that he was the younger of the two with his ability to be so scared of their father.
âWhat, do you need your big sister to hold your hand, Clear Wing?â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
âAs if! Youâre just lucky you ended up with a head start or I woulda already left you behind to eat my dust! If anyone should be complaininâ about being slow, itâs you!â
With another quick flap of his wings, Clear Wing was already catching up, too. He knew Starve Venom was only teasing him to get a rise out of him, but with his attitude and his constant drive to prove her wrong, there was no way he wouldnât make it to their fatherâs throne room first.Â
Even if it was just to wipe that stupid grin off her face! Â
Starve Venom purrs lovingly, and, despite her fast wingbeats, Clear Wing does indeed make it to the balcony first, and she lands a minute after, trying to hide her panting. Huffing and fighting to regain her breath, Starve Venom pushes open the balcony doors and hops to the floor inside, looking over her shoulder.
âHeâs here, papa,â she calls, taking a moment to soothe the rapid rise and fall of her chest before looking back at Clear Wing. âCome on, letâs go in.â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
ââWhatâd you say!?â Starve Venom was smart. Sheâd already lifted herself well out of Clear Wingâs personal space before heâd even yelled back or else his temper wouldâve definitely earned her a physical snap back.Â
âListen here, you snake! Just âcause you like causing trouble doesnât mean Iâm always gonna stand around and take it! You ân your big talk canât save you from everything, yâknow!â
Just like heâd show her whoâd be the last one there as soon as he caught up with her! Unlike one of their siblings, he could definitely fly, too!
âCatch me if you can, darling!â Of course, Starve Venomâs teasing only served one purpose â to get Clear Wing to Zarc faster. Just like she was of nature, Clear Wing was of the skies and heâd catch up and leave her in the dust before she could make another snarky retort. That was all fine and dandy, though she hated to lose.
âDonât tell me your pathetic humanâs made you slow!â
PENDULUMRISENâ:Â
If Clear Wing had taken her threat to heart, then he definitely wasnât showing it. Her biting snap was enough for him to fall quiet, but not without an irritated huff as he swung his arms to rest behind in his head in retort. And she always called him dramatic?Â
âWhatever, Iâm still gonna be the first to call you out if I find out this is something you did and not âcause dad just wants to talk with all of us. You ân I both know he never calls us all together unless someoneâs gettinâ in trouble.â
âMy dear Clear Wing, if I wanted to mess with you, Iâd do it myself. Nothing is more delicious than watching you squirm,â she counters, expression softening back into something slightly playful. âAnd I donât even need the human wretch to do so.â
With that, she pushed back into the air with her wings, knowing the fastest way back was by air; it was a pity Odd-Eyes had to walk. Still grinning, she departs with a, âPapaâll be mad if youâre the last one there!â
