Scuba Adventure will be taking 18 lucky divers to dive with sharks, see some amazing reefs, and wrecks in the Bahamas for a 5 day trip September 27-Oct 2, 2024. Being a shorter trip this is a perfect opportunity for those who have never done a live-aboard to give it a try. This will include a trip out to tiger beach 🦈.

Grand Bahama Adventure 5 nights

Requirements: PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent - minimum of 50 logged dives - minimum age 18 (might be able to get waived with experience).

The Grand Bahama Adventure 5 nights liveaboard itinerary visits the absolute best of the West End of Grand Bahama Island. On this scuba diving cruise you can expect to see lots of sharks. Regular sightings include tiger sharks, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, and even the occasional bull shark. However, it’s not all about sharks; There will also be a chance to dive amazing reefs, walls, wrecks, and sometimes even caves on this itinerary.

All Scuba Adventure Divers will get a $300 discount if booked and deposit paid prior to December 15. The first 10 people to book and pay your deposit will get an additional $300 discount. So take advantage of the $600 discount.

It will only take a $250 non-refundable deposit to lock in your spot.

The Advanced Open Water Course is only $195. The classroom portion of the course will begin October28 at 6:30pm. Then we will do your dives in in Mermet Springs that weekend. So get signed up for our Halloween trip to Mermet! If you can not make the trip we will do your dives later. You can also do your night dove early with us in Rolla. This is you last chance to get your advanced diver certification this year! You don’t have to be “advanced” to take the Advanced Open Water Course – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving. Get credit! Each Adventure Dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a specialty diver course, ask your instructor if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive. PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to step up and enroll in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – check with your PADI Instructor. We will be doing a night dive at Quail Run Quarry on Saturday the 25 if anyone would like to join us. It is $15 for play dives and $10 for students, plus the cost of any rental gear. Halloween Dive Trip October 29-31, 2021. Scuba Adventure will be hosting a Halloween Dive at Mermet Springs. On Saturday we will have have a best costume award and the winner will get a $100.00 gift card. We will offer advanced class, deep dives, peak performance, wreck dives, and more if interested. This is the last time this year to get your advanced diver certification. Cost is $267 per person and this covers your park entry fees, unlimited air fills, entry into the costume contest, and 2 nights at the Hampton (based on double occupancy). Night dives are offered Friday for an additional $33 which covers entry fee and air fill. Call to get signed up! Today we were able to dive a piece of history. At 9:51 a.m. July 21, 1948, a B-29 Superfortress, weighing in at 104,556 pounds, took off from China Lake, California. It traveled to a test area near Lake Mead to conduct high-altitude atmospheric research. After the last measurements were taken, the pilot took the plane a little lower. Both the pilot and co-pilot thought they were around 400 feet above the lake’s surface, but the altimeter was reportedly off. Around 12:30 p.m. traveling at 230 miles per hour, the B-29 struck the water and sank to the bottom of Lake Mead where it still lies today. Below are photos of what the wreck looks like today. All 5 crew members of the plane were saved. Diving is by far the most rewarding sport/hobby someone can have. We are planning on returning again next May if you are interested.
