My big controversial take is that I believe it should be acceptable to call the Creature by the name Frankenstein, as he is a creation and son of Victor is he not? I believe that in being stripped of his humanity by his creator he should be allowed to reclaim the name taken from him in his conception. After all, Frankenstein is the family name and the Creature is nothing if not the only family Victor has left by the end of his story.

brennan lee mulligan you are truly the greatest masterclass in developing a problematic character cause the last couple episodes have made me genuinely love comfrey macleod as an addition to the team so much. you can so clearly see how she assembled the wind riders and why they followed her and you can feel her magnetic personality through the screen and once the yelling from the initial interactions dies down, you love her.

you want her there, you want her as a part of the team. but then you start to remember the reality of it. what she’s said to monty, and how she’s responsible in some way for what happened to marya and ludmila and van and her family, and you remember how she wanted daisuke to change for her and how she left her son and left olethra.

and you know those things to be fact, she’s admitting to doing half of them on screen. she admits she got van’s family taken and that her actions in zood and zern lead in some way to ludmila being taken, and she’s mean to monty and she wanted daisuke to be an indoor dog. but at the same time, you love having her there! she’s fun, she’s spunky, she’s over ninety years old and still running around adventuring without slowing down. she apologizes to van and marya and she gets back out in the fray of a fight with monty and the first thing she does is kiss daisuke and celebrate olethra joining the crew! and olethra standing her ground in danger is still the first time she’s ever understood the gravity of her actions.

she’s dangerous and reckless and has insane main character syndrome and still you love her. what a fantastic character.

Ok ok I know it's primarily the axmurph of it all, but goddamn, Maxwell continuously reaching out to Marya about Ludmila, reassuring her that being sky-eyed isn't a bad thing, finally admitting to her during their conversation that he's been secretly sky-eyed this whole time...aaghh. I know things are weird cause of the age gap and her curse and him being SO focused on fighting, but it's been 19 years, please god let me have Maxwell having a crush on this beautiful haunted mess of an older woman in her forties

Don’t get me wrong. Every season axmurph’s characters have had a significant dynamic, but like- not with THIS KIND OF DYNAMIC. The flirting. The teasing. The way Maxwell goes out of his way to help Marya get answers about Mila. The way Marya is sure to include Maxwell in everything to get him more comfortable with being openly sky-eyed. The comfort. The care. The overlap of the real world axmurph of it all. Oh my beautiful axmurph soulmates in every!!! Universe!!!
