Hey, I polished up some sad kuzupeko fics I wrote a while back. They be under the cut, and also readable at Ao3
Read More
Apologies for the inactivity, but here's a fic now that is sadly unrelated to the last thing I posted.
What if I put my original fiction on this blog.
I've been wanting to write this fic for a while, and I finally got the first half of it done. Basic premise is what if Kuzuryuu succeeded in his attempts he made to kill Koizumi during chapter 2. I'll try to get the next part out in a few days or so. The fic is under the cut.
She kept her face straight and her eyes from wandering to check onhim. She took a breath and calmly said to the prosecutor, "I still don't see how you can be certain that Kuzuryuu is the culprit. You have only proved he was in the general vicinity of the beach house when Koiumi died, nothing more."
Hinata shook his head. "Pekoyama, don't you remember the footprints Kuzuryuu left in front of the beachside door? The culprit clearly left through that door because of the bloodstains on the door handle, right?"
Pekoyama gave a slow nod in agreement. "That still cannot prove it was Kuzuryuu who was the culprit however, it was a mere coincidence that they two left from that door."
"Yes, but there was only one set of footprints left going away in the wet sand, and they belonged to Kuzuryuu!"
"I-I still don't see how this is conclusive..." she said again.
From across the trial room Komaeda looked at her skeptically. "Really, Pekoyama-san? I thought that you were smarter than this." He turned to Kuzuryuu," Say, Kuzuryuu, do you have any counter-arguments to make for yourself now?"
Kuzuryuu remained silent, eyes downcast, and the corners of her lips twitched downwards.
"I guess we are on the right track then. Hinata, how about you explain the just how the crime occurred to Pekoyama-san so that she may realize the correct culprit as well?"
She wanted to shout something in objection, some new reason why Kuzuryuu couldn't have done it, but her mind came up with nothing at all, and she held her tongue.
Hinata began telling the rest of the surviving students how Kuzuryuu planned the murder and Pekoyama felt her stomach drop. She knew even if she spoke up now, everyone would be skeptical of her claims, of her desperate failing attempt.
"Now, at the beach house, the culprit came out and hit Koiumi in the head with a bat. They naturally got some bloodstains on them, so they left the bat at the beach house and went outside through the front door that leads towards the beach, and washed off their hands and clothing in the seawater. They then decided to try to back to their cottage, as if nothing happened, but Souda and I encountered them still soaking wet as they passed by the island's burger place."
She listened to Hinata's every word as he finished his explanation, mentioning how Saionji came running out lastly.
"Kuzuryuu, you must have done it, didn't you!?" shouted Hinata.
Pekoyama couldn't keep the words from escaping her throat any longer. "No, it wasn't him!"
Hinata stopped, and raised his eyebrows a bit. "Why are you being so insistent?" he asked Pekoyama.
She hesitated in answering, giving enough time for Souda to yell "Yeah! You’ve heard how it definitely happened, so quit denyin' it!"
Saionji also said, "Stop being such a stupid bitch! We found big sis Mahiru's killer, we can't even thing of him getting away!"
Pekoyama tried to ignore her classmates' cries. "It was definitely not him, I know it wasn’t... Kuzuryuu told the truth when he said he only went to beach house to get a drink..."
She glanced to Kuzuryuu for a moment, and their eyes met. He was mouthing out "what are you doing," but she turned away from him when she realized what he was trying to say.
Sonia's lips curled with a mix of worry and nervous curiosity. "Then exactly what did happen, if I may ask you, Pekoyama?"
Pekoyama folded her arms. "While Kuzuryuu had left to go sit by the beach, Koiumi was in the beach house still. I snuck in through the tunnel side door, and hit her over the head with a bat."
Her tone was monotonous, like she was reciting a script. Her wrds pierced into the room's atmosphere, leaving it deadly quiet for a few moments.
"What!?" was finally shouted by Owari. "A-are you saying that...!?"
"Yes, I am confessing," she said in the same tone she had been using.
A buzz of confusion rose in the courtroom. Souda was chastising Owari for believing what Pekoyama had said so easily, and Saionji did not buy it either. Many of the other students were at a loss for words, and Tanaka and Nanami began questioning how she avoided getting blood on her, and if this meant she wrote the forged letters as well.
But in the midst of the confusion, a voice yelled, "SHUT UP!"
All eyes turned to its source, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. HIs fists were tightly clenched into balls, and his teeth were locked together. "Sh-shut up, Peko...yama..." he said. "I did it... I killed Koiumi."
"Young master, don't.." she barely whispered, but he ignored her.
"Pekoyama is lying. I'm the one who really did it, alright?"
"N-no!" Pekoyama shouted, "I am telling the truth! I... I hated Koiumi so I killed her! I never wished death upon the rest of you, so you must give me the punishment I deserve and vote me!"
After a moment of silence had passed, and Nanami shook her head with a stern expression sat across her face. "Pekoyama-san, you are lying... I think. If you were the culprit, the facts wouldn't add up... plus you kept your mouth shut when Tanaka-kun and I were questioning you..."
Her words didn't sting, they ached like a rotten tooth the dentist was pulling out.
"Pekoyama-san..." Sonia began, "What is your motive for all this deed, if you may confess?"
Pekoyama froze for a moment, and let her gaze drop to the floor. "I wish to protect, that is all."
"Well then, is that all? Nothing more to say, Kuzuryuu-kun?" asked Komaeda.
Kuzuryuu replied with nothing, and Komaeda interpreted that as a yes.
"Monobear, I think we are ready for voting time, then!"
"Alright then!" shouted the maniacal teddy as he pumped his fist, "you bastards know the rules, no vote and a punishment for you as well! Everyone, use the panels in front of you and choose who the culprit is!"
Pekoyama jerked her head to the side so that her gaze met Kuzuryuu's. She pointed at herself quickly and mouthed, "Vote me," to him.
He looked at her, and shook his head. He turned away from Pekoyama, and hung his head towards the voting panel. He let out a heavy sigh, and pushed in his vote.
Pekoyama looked back to her screen and held her finger hovering above it. Her mind raced with thrashing struggles to form a new plan, but it was too late. She had to vote now, or she would be killed by Monobear. She knew she couldn't see him if that happened, she knew she couldn't get him off the island if that happened.
She knew if the culprit was misidentified the true culprit would live, and be free.
Unhesitatingly now, she tapped her finger over the name "Pekoyama Peko."

Apologies for the lack of material lately, as school is suffering, but I'm writing some sad stuff right now, so hopefully I'll have it in a presentable state soon.
Also, if anyone has suggestions or prompts, I would be delighted if you sent them to me as I live off of prompts whenever I try to write anything that isn't completely idiotic.

Note: ペコ, which is pronounced as "peko," is the Japanese onomatopoeia for bowing.
Here is some sondam fluff with some twinges of sadness towards the end. It's under the cut. Also don't read if you haven't gotten through sdr2 ch4 yet.
Gundam proudly held a single sunflower seed between his thumb and index finger, towards the sky. "Now, this is Star-destroyer Grey Fox San-D!" His voice boomed, and seemed to summon the "beast," a furry creature. It scampered up his arm and to his hand, wriggling out from under the creases and lumps of the jacket he wore, and stuffed the seed in its cheeks.
"San-D is adorable, Tanaka-san!" Sonia's eyes sparkled as the rodent's majesty shone down on her. "He is in good health, is he not? He seems so plump, and yet fit!"
With a huff, Gundam nodded. "He is truly of divine health, as I myself have nurtured his mortal form!" He nudged for Sonia to give him her hands, and she held them flat in front of him. Gundam gently dropped the hamster onto her palm, and San-D landed bottom-first. It crawled onto her shoulder and snuggled up by her neck, and she giggled as the fur tickled her skin.
She petted San-D's head. "You must be a very talented caretaker then, for I have not seen any animal as friendly as San-D before."
He pulled up his muffler so it covered his cheeks. "Th-then you have been given the great privilege of being accepted as their servant in this plane as well! The dark gods are picky when choosing their mortal subjects, I'll have you know!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a few more sunflower seeds, about five or six. He passed three to Sonia. "You may give this offering to star destroyer grey fox San-D, but do not continue to feed him if he nips upon your fingers!"
Sonia gently raised up one seed towards its mouth, and then the hamster took the seed with its tiny, pink paws. San-D quickly nibbled on it, and the seed had soon disappeared into his mouth. San-D jumped down her dress, surprising Sonia a bit, and tried to reach the hand she held the other seeds in. She picked him up tenderly with her other hand, and handed him more seeds one by one.
Once he had eaten the last one, Sonia raised it in front of Gundam. "Thank you for allowing me to feed San-D, Tanaka-san," she said with a small bow.
Gundam paused a moment before he took the hamster from her. "The thanks should not be directed towards I, but the dark gods of destruction!" he finally proclaimed, "they have given you their blessing, and so you should send praises and exaltment towards them!"
She giggled a bit, and leaned towards the hamster. She scratched it around the ears and said, "thank you for letting me feed you, San-D!"
He slipped the hamster back into his muffler with the others as he grinned triumphantly.
"Tanaka-san, what about you’re other little hamsters? Should they not be fed as well?"
"Certainly they do! If their hunger is not quelled, surely the Pandora’s Box of their true power shall be opened, and all dark forces shall reign destruction upon this realm of fools!"
Her tone shifted into an exited one, and she said, "May I help you care for the rest as well, then? If it would not be troublesome, that is."
"Of-of course you may! I shall escort you to our lair, where the dark god's abode lies!"
"That is simply radical, Tanaka-san! Let us depart now, then!" she began to run ahead of him.
He soon trotted after her, shouting and cackling, "Indeed! Once you are trained in the art of giving care the dark god's and their temple, you shall be ready for the day of reckoning!"
She cradled the four hamsters in her hand, and a tear trickled down her red cheek. The hamsters were all trembling, and hung their ears mournfully. Sonia held them close to her, and said, "don't worry, now that we are out we can go get something nice for you to eat from Tanaka-san's cottage..." She didn't intend to stop caring for them now.
Hmm people are actually following me, I better work on some more stuff, then.
