Welp, meet my New Self Insert, SD-OPRCUBHMM! she’s quite the gal :3

SO! A bit about this aforementioned gal, Oprcubhmm here is a experiment done in the labs while there was still humans around, she was a attempt at two things.

one being if it was possible to free drones from out of the solvers control

two was transferring over the human mind to a Drone

the person picked for it was trying to get hrt on the planet

jcjennson in all their corporate-ness, saw an opportunity to go for a triple whammy with this person, at first, they figured they could just, slide over the paper, she'd sign it none the wiser....she did check the paper work though, which did get the suits sweating a lil but after a deep and long consideration, she signed it.

The scientists at least let her dye the tips and choose the color of the eyes and extra eye modules while she is being prepared for the procedure

and good news it works!

Bad news...she wakes up to a very confused Alice upon seeing another experiment that was only spoken in rumors...next to their own now long decayed and flash frozen skeletal corpse (Alice is insane, not heartless in my mind, she is not about to let some poor young adult person freshly waking up as a drone view their own dead remains of their old body)

Isaac lounged on a dusty bed in the middle of the mall's abandoned mattress shop. He had been passing the time by counting specks of dirt on the ceiling. Every time he lost count, he started over. He was looking to get a high score. Unfortunately, or fortunately, he was interrupted by the sound of rustling outside.

Aha! An intruder. He leaped off the bed and took off into the main area with his flamethrower at the ready. Nine times out of ten any visitors he had were disassembly drones. He didn't mind that fact, it actually excited him! He loved a good fight. He beamed, his pointy teeth practically sparkling. He'd enjoy ripping another one of those monsters to bits. Hell, maybe this one would even banter with him as he did so. A perfect cure for boredom.

Instead who he finds is…someone different than the typical yellow dd, infact she doesn’t look like a normal dd at all…

The way her legs were designed, the oddly female humanoid chest, the symbol on her chest was a skull with a oil can crammed into it, the arms on her, the weird machine on her back, all of it pointed to her being some sort of lab project, if it had to be guessed

“Hmmm…usually these places have good scrap for inventions….darn it…this is what I get for living in that secret area in bunker-3….”

She looks around some more, not noticing yet Isaac.

Isaac was practically bursting with excitement. This was going to be so "aura" as the kids say. He found a pillar perfectly shadowed in darkness and leaned against it, his red sentinel eyes glowing mysteriously. He let out a low chuckle, perfectly manicured to be intimidating AND cool. Catching the strange drone's attention, he lifted the flamethrower up to his smiling face.

"Looking for scrap, huh? You're about to be a pile of it."

He held out the flamethrower, waiting for a response.

"Your move, intruder!"

She looked at him for a second…blinked and her expression turned to irritation.

“Great. I get to die again. Another disassembly wants my head…what else is new.”

She softly sighed

“Whatever just…shoot me, the experiment and blast me yeah sure.”

Her expression was furrowing into its annoyed look, she spoke like dd’s have already been killing her over and over again, odd in of itself

Isaac's expression immediately fell. He switched the flamethrower back to a hand and shuffled into the light. The sun streaming in from the broken skylight didn't hurt him, which might throw Op for a bit of a loop.

"Well geez. I didn't sign up for a pseudo-suicidal scavenger."

He frowned as he slowly circled Op, taking in her strange appearance for real this time.

"Usually DDrones want MY head. What's your deal? A social outcast, a new model that didn't go over well, maybe you owe the other disassembly dorks money?"

He shrugged, internally mulling over the earlier comment about bunker 3.

"I mean. I CAN kill you. If you want. I don't mind."

She noticed…it did throw her through a loop but she just chalked it up to being something else then a standard disassembly drone, similar to herself

“I am SD-Oprcubhmm, Oil Providing and Replenishing Care Unit with Basic Human Mind Mapping, or…just shorten it to Op or something, I don’t know, im originally from the cabin fever labs, built by the scientists there to see if a certain kind of transfer was possible.”

She said as she grabbed some scrap finally that didn’t seem to be attached to any inventions or something

Isaac nodded along. It took him a moment to actually process what was being said. Once it did hit, he was way too distracted to care about her taking anything that wasn't nailed down.

"Hey..."

He pointed at her.

"Mind mapping? Transfer? Oppy, can I call you Oppy? ...Are you telling me you're a human?"

He did his best not to break into nervous laughter. She had to be bullshitting him. There was no way.

“….you…y-you can call me oppy”

She turned slowly towards him, putting back down the metal sheet, really looking at his weird design

“Are you….also? No way, no….no fucking way”

She was the one who ended up nervously laughed

“All this time, oh my fucking robo-god.…”

He panicked and glommed onto the least intimidating bit of the conversation he could.

"Robo-god? That's goofy. Is there, like, robo-Jesus too? I didn't stick around the little drone outpost long enough to learn about robo-Christianity..."

He trailed off. No, that definitely wasn't working. He giggled, nearly in hysterics.

"Never mind! Who gives a shit! I found someone like me! I thought I was the only one!"

He held his head, grinning like an idiot.

"You said you were an experiment? I- I don't actually know how or why I'm like this. This was just some empty prototype and now it's me- Whatever! Not important! I'm Isaac. Isaac Callahan. Former engineer and current frankendrone."

She giggled at the joke he made at the first part and slightly joining his hysterical laughter with her own for a bit

“I sadly don’t remember my name, jcjenson, the real one, basically removed it from my memories and that annoying ass filter in drones for memory means I see myself as a literal shadow in my own memories when I check them over, So Oppy works anyhow, this drone body was supposed to be their answer to the disassembly drone, had to add the tools I have in the sucker into the inventory, despite them intending me to be a helping drone”

She softly smiled, and it was genuine, the softest grin on a dd-like body ever seen

“Wanna hear about my differences in depth from the average disassembler?”

"That's wild! I'm in the exact same boat as you. Well, I guess aside from the being an experiment thing."

He gave a toothy grin. They must've been star-crossed besties or something. The scientist and the subject, both destined to counter disassembly drones.

"Tell me all about it."

“Alright, so to start, let’s go from top to bottom, which brings up these”

She vaguely motions to her chest

“These are “Oil Containment Units”, which does mean these suckers actually serve a purpose other than making sure I still feel comfy in my own body and feel as though im fem enough, they hold the oil developed by-“

She turns around, showing off the lil boxy machine on her back

“-this, basically the scientists at the lab that worked on me managed to jailbreak some of the thing that made disassembly drones stuff, and reverse engineered it so not only I still have access to weapons and can add equipment to my inventory, this machine uses it to make oil, they basically made me the vending machine in that sense…but it comes at the cost of having wings”

She turns back around and moves her tail and gently holds it in her hands

“This is my Ranged Nanite Launcher Tail, or the RNLT for short, this is so I don’t stab myself or my equipment, because even if I can heal, it takes a bit longer to heal than a normal disassmbler due to how I was built, though that means next is what replaces my flight option”

She gestures to her feet

“These heels are filled with industrial grade springs and pistons, allowing me to launch off the ground on command, allowing me to reach the average height that a disassembler reaches via flight, meaning I’m super hero jumping and parkouring for traversal”

She chuckled a little

“That’s the rough basis of it at the least”

"That's awesome! Whoever built your body didn't give a shit about ethics, but they sure did know their stuff."

He paused.

"Just, uh, going off limited information. Sorry if they were your friends or something."

He cleared his throat awkwardly.

"I'll... go into my thing now."

He splayed his arms out in a sort of "ta-da!" motion.

"This hot bod is all the work of yours truly. I wasn't really planning on living in it. Nobody was supposed to live in it. It was just gonna be a mindless machine that burned disassembly drones to a crisp, y'know. I wanted to end the apocalypse, but obviously that didn't work out."

He chuckled, though it sounded hollow.

"Uhhh I used a bunch of spare parts from dead drones and broken sentinels, so I don't have the detailed specs or anything. I just. Kill the killers. This was only a prototype I was gonna present to the big JCJ for funding."

He blinked a few times.

"I've never given the low-down before. I think I'm doing a shit job, oops."

“Firstly, none of the scientists or engineers were people I knew personally, so it’s fine”

She softly smiled

“Second off, it’s a good piece of work that you did, honestly, it’s a good low down and it gives the simple story that led you to here, even if it’s a bit of wild one, though how I got into this bod was…interesting”

She said, a nervous chuckle coming from her

"Well, why don't I grab the popcorn, ay?"

He nudged Op with his shoulder, winking.

"I don't even know how I got here, so I'm sure your story is way more interesting."

He took a step back and leaned against the pillar. He batted his tail out of the way. He didn't seem very in tune with it. It certainly didn't move much, at least.

"Spill the beans, Oppy."

She laughed, a good honest laugh

“Alright well, my dear self used to be on earth before all this, I was just some worker of a food company, it was fine but it was….something at times, fine though. Then…as if some higher power decided “I have an idea” the higher ups wanted me to move over and get sent to copper-9, eventually I did arrive…soon after though…the whole thing with earth happened, my new co-workers were all drones, good to work with and we all mused about the…increase in karen behavior, I got them a little stash in a mall that’s west from this one, that was our lil shop in the madness, I named my drone co-workers after their jobs…which in hindsight, didn’t result in exactly creative names”

She sighed

“Though eventually…my uh…estrogen pills ran out…which means I was gonna be dealing with effects, and while, at the time, I did know production was starting, it was gonna be a long ways out before a product got there…and then I see a flyer for a “permanent gender change” by jcjenson, I took it….and I ended up eventually going to the cabin fever cabins, and then I actually looked through what they wanted me to sign….I saw what I would actually be agreeing to, I was thorough about it to…but I still ultimately decided to go through with it because if I didn’t, who’d else be next? I atleast read the thing…so I signed it, the engineers and scientists making the body had the decency to at least let me dye the hair and change the hairstyle to my liking and the color of the drone…I chose purple.”

She took a deep breath

“On the day of my transfer, it was also the day the core would collapse…meaning while the transfer completed…the jolt caused my wake up to happen later than intended….”

She hysterically chuckled a little…tears in her eyes om her visor

“A drone down there named alice tried to stop me from seeing it when I woke up but…curiousity killed the cat and satisfaction brought it back and such….I looked to my left and…saw my own frozen corpse……I buried my old body after basically…”

She sighed

“Then I tried to complete my mission, tame the disassmblers…but my luck and choice of order was the WORST, every goddamn hideout and spire of disassembly drones I found? Well, I wasn’t dd, but I regenerated like one, so in most of their eyes, I was target practice.”

She looked…tired again

“Even if the ones near bunker 3 would have actually been smart enough to actually consider me…I was too exhausted by that point to try…so I just…hid in a secret room in a unused part of the bunker that was next to one of the doors, I entered via vent but closed it up and blockaded it behind me…I only sneak out for supplies…my other goal was to stab the solver thing that started this with a patch included in my inventory…but that never…happened…I just…was so tired…so I just did my best to rest, hide away and such…fearing when a normal worker or dd would see me”

"You know, I never even considered the whole gender affirming side of things."

He wasn't ignoring Oprcubhmm. On the contrary, he was trying to distract her. He sucked at saying the right thing, and his ability to comfort didn't really go beyond a pat on the shoulder and a "there there." So... he would make a clown of himself.

"This isn't something I'm super open about, but I'm a trans man. It never ONCE crossed my mind that I didn't need testosterone anymore!"

He flung his hands in the air.

"I was so caught up in not needing to eat or breathe or blink that everything else slipped my mind!"

He grabbed Op by the shoulders and gave her a gentle shake.

"I woke up and everything was completely different! Not just my body, but the entire world around me! I have no idea what I'm doing, and I sure as hell don't do much thinking!"

He gave her a lopsided grin.

"I'm flopping, Oppy! The drones have developed society and religion and I forgot I'm trans! What is a mall hermit to do?!"

She starts chuckling then full blown laughs before softly calming down

“If this is how you’re coping and extending it to me…it’s helping I won’t deny it, is it…alright if I ask about some of your design choices for what is now your body?”

She said, eyeing him curiously

"I see you're captivated by my roguish charm."

He had considered making a joke about being the gay best friend, but that coveted title had to be earned, damn it! Instead, he focused on Op's question.

"Ok... you're going to judge me for this, but I need to say this for some things to make sense."

He took a step back. Hopefully this wouldn't make her mad.

"The design is clunky partially because it's a prototype, but also because... I didn't, um, know that drones were sentient."

He winced at the look Op gave him.

"I know better now, of course! But back on Earth all I had to go off of was JCJ propaganda and my own lack of experience. I did repairs and modifications. The drones I interacted with were almost never awake. I thought it was like an AI situation where they just acted alive because that's how they were programmed."

He kicked the ground nervously.

"But hey! I got my just desserts. No poor drone ended up in this crummy bod. Just me."

He placed his hands on his hips. He looked happier than he ought to.

"I've got a modified sentinel tail. Very heavy, but the sharp blade on the end can sever limbs. Great for accidentally knocking shit over."

He pulled up his shirt. His torso was filled with the same red liquid as his tail.

"This is where the flamethrower juice is made. Flows to the rest of my body from here. As a plus if anyone tries to shoot me I'll explode violently and take them out with me."

He spoke from experience.

"I don't have the crazy multi-tool that DDrones have. Just the flamethrower and pointy hands. I have special eyes though. There's sentinel bootloop tech behind my visor. No insane eyeball headband though."

He tapped his chin.

"There's no reason for the high heels. I just thought they looked cool."

She deeply thought on it alot, despite the one thing, she did seem very interested in all the design ideas of how to counter the disassemblers, it was a more violent option, but it was the end times and such. It was interesting to see that he focused primarily on heat instead of any other things, but it was a easily abundant option so it makes so much sense to do

“So, I have my heels for extra transport, so what do you have instead of that and wings?”

She asked, a curious spark in her digital visor eyes at the thought of what he might have instead

"Oh yeah! The most awesome part! How could I forget?"

He was just glad that he was off the hook for now. He knew what drone activists thought of people like him, and now he understood why. The things he did under the employment of JCJenson would best go unspoken. Happy to focus on something else, Isaac hopped back a couple feet as a metallic "thunk" came from inside his body. Four spider-like appendages sprouted from his back and lifted him off the ground. If you've ever seen Invader Zim, the limbs worked a lot like the ones the alien guy had. Isaac spread his arms wide, soaking in the attention.

"Yes, yes. I look cool as hell and I know it."

The legs braced and then sprung up, launching Isaac into to air. Two of them caught the railing on the mall's second story. The other two formed a sort of seat that Isaac sat cross-legged on. It almost looked like a weird swing set.

"Can I fly? No. Can I jump as high as you? Probably not. I can, however, do tricks that DDrones could only dream of. There are no downsides here. This was purely genius inventing on my part."

He looked absurdly proud of himself.

“Well, ain’t you a good creative, I will admit, the idea of spider limbs instead of the wings probably still allows you to get up to the heights and places that they don’t expect, as well as area’s that are more enclosed and not good for wings, like very sharp end destroyed buildings like this place, allowing you to get a drop on a target, a very good strategy i’ll admit”

she wasn’t an activist, she didn’t have the time due to her job, but maybe her just treating drones like people casually was an action in general enough

“Though now im gonna ask something, what are your thoughts on this crazy planet? Weather wise and well…I guess observing our fellow drones in a sense?”

She then tilted her head a lil more

“And…more personal…what’s the difference in touch like for you?”

"Exactly! You get it! Blade wings ain't everything."

He dropped back to the ground with a thud, retracting his spider legs.

"As for your questions... It's a little wacky, but it feels like watching an ant farm."

He wasn't sure how to phrase this very well without spilling his whole deal to Op, but he'd try.

"Like, it's an entire world that functions outside of everything else and you're just an observer. I'm not a part of it, but I'm in the thick of it."

He supposed one didn't just wake up one day feeling like a drone. Even with a robotic body, his mind was still human. It's like he was watching his own life through a screen. It hadn't felt real in a long time.

"It's a cool place. Totally different nowadays. I'm here doing my own thang."

He said the last part in a goofy voice. After a moment, he looked down at his hands.

"...Haven't paid much attention to my senses."

He didn't like to.

"I don't feel much when it comes to textures and stuff. I can tell hot and cold much easier."

He'd probably neglected to connect some sensory wires or something while building the prototype. He had been in a bit of a hurry after all.

“If I described it….it feels like a delay to it, my guess is due to the transfer and such, my ole’ human brain, even if it’s digitized, has to play catch up though the benefit is I can actually, PHYSICALLY, organize my thoughts, even if my thoughts are a bit all over the place at times still, bouncing from one subject to the next”

She blinks for a second then swaps her hand

“In other news I made this”

The tool seems to be a sort of shower head connected to some piping, connected to a vial similar to a dd nanite acid container…but it seemed to be filled with the fluid from their mouths and the stuff that regenerates their head

“This nanite regen applier here…name pending, is my thing I used to keep my mind busy with, even if I didn’t complete my original lil goal, I can still attempt to help out where I can, I managed to reprogram the nanites into that when they repair, they check the drones memory banks, and then repair that, regardless of the type of drone, allowing me to live up to the helper bot more then those at corporate thought”

She looks troubled for a second…at the corporate higher ups mentioned by herself

"Oh that's useful."

He looked at it in awe.

"Looks like you have a promising career in engineering ahead of you."

He grabbed it delicately, keeping in mind that it was attached to Oppy. As he examined it, he kept yapping.

"I wouldn't put too much stock into JCJ's opinion. They hardly know up from down, let alone anything about the kinda stuff we make. The bottom line is that they only care about the bottom line. Not worth the brain space it takes to think about them. The command you have over both hardware and software is pretty damn amazing."

“The benefits to thinking with a transferred brain like mine is that you kinda are forced to navigate both software and hardware since it’s literally you…if I want to add anything into my inventory, I gotta do it and learn it, it’s…how I cope, I’ve always liked the joy of making things, stories, art, what have you, this is me making a mark in a way that I think will last, making inventions and things for others and myself, to share it with the world so that I can help out in different ways then originally intended for me”

She softly smiles

“And thanks, it’s been a wild ride to say the least so far”

To leave a mark. That's all Isaac ever wanted. He needed to matter. To live and die and be remembered. Now... everyone he knew was gone, he couldn't die, and he certainly wasn't living. He was stagnant.

"I'm glad you have things to keep you busy."

"I'm keeping busy here too! Living a life of luxury. There's every store under the sun, and they've barely been raided. Nothing like taking a trip to the gun shop and then setting up a bunch of trampolines. Jumping around while firing off a semi-automatic in random directions is comedy gold."

"It had casualties, but it was worth it."

She noticed the tone shift but she nodded even if her face could show she lnew what he was doing, she let him go on about his lil fun thing, it would take time for him to open up to her but she was the opposite, just so ready to open up to someone like her, and that made her easy to be able to tell isaac her stuff

“Well, if you’d like…I could offer you coordinates to my lab sisters…call them that because we were all experiments under the same roof so to speak and so we eventually adopted the term after we met up one time in a….cartoony way…we crashed into one another while all searching for stuff, for me its obvious…scraps, it’d give you some new faces to interact with and…potentially cause some chaos with, or just…have some fun?”

She offered him, it was the least she could do

He scratched his chin, thinking. He didn't seem to notice that Op had caught on. He was book smart, but he was also oblivious as hell.

"Are they also former humans? Doesn't really matter, but a heads up would be nice."

At this point he'd realized that drones were basically metal humans. They thought the same thoughts and said the same things. Maybe they were a bit more casual about death, but that could easily be because of the current circumstances rather than something baked in. Hard to say. He couldn't exactly ask one if they wanted to do a vivisection just for fun. It was tempting, though. He'd love to see how the solver stuff worked especially.

“They are weird though due to it, in their own ways, aiya was an old virus….the uh…you are an idiot virus, gal had to make her own body, she was the test to see if a old human made virus could fight against solver…it did in a controlled enviorment, she gained sentience and sapience due to it, grabbed a drone body for transferring, the other is…they took like a solver thing that they used on drones to make them into solver hosts, and stuck it in a blank slate body with no code besides the basics of drone stuff, she became her own person, some scientists thought solver would have a parental reaction but…the head scientist did not care heh”

She took a breath

“Their names are AIYA and Consumatia respectively…do prepare your ears for both, their voice boxes will sound a little weird”

"They sound like an interesting bunch. Def up my alley."

"I'll have to prod em' a bit. I know next to nothing about the Solver."

Isaac nodded along. It took him a moment to actually process what was being said. Once it did hit, he was way too distracted to care about her taking anything that wasn't nailed down.

He did his best not to break into nervous laughter. She had to be bullshitting him. There was no way.

“This is my Ranged Nanite Launcher Tail, or the RNLT for short, this is so I don’t stab myself or my equipment, because even if I can heal, it takes a bit longer to heal than a normal disassmbler due to how I was built, though that means next is what replaces my flight option”

“These heels are filled with industrial grade springs and pistons, allowing me to launch off the ground on command, allowing me to reach the average height that a disassembler reaches via flight, meaning I’m super hero jumping and parkouring for traversal”

“On the day of my transfer, it was also the day the core would collapse…meaning while the transfer completed…the jolt caused my wake up to happen later than intended….”

“Even if the ones near bunker 3 would have actually been smart enough to actually consider me…I was too exhausted by that point to try…so I just…hid in a secret room in a unused part of the bunker that was next to one of the doors, I entered via vent but closed it up and blockaded it behind me…I only sneak out for supplies…my other goal was to stab the solver thing that started this with a patch included in my inventory…but that never…happened…I just…was so tired…so I just did my best to rest, hide away and such…fearing when a normal worker or dd would see me”

"The design is clunky partially because it's a prototype, but also because... I didn't, um, know that drones were sentient."

He winced at the look Op gave him.

"I know better now, of course! But back on Earth all I had to go off of was JCJ propaganda and my own lack of experience. I did repairs and modifications. The drones I interacted with were almost never awake. I thought it was like an AI situation where they just acted alive because that's how they were programmed."

He kicked the ground nervously.

"But hey! I got my just desserts. No poor drone ended up in this crummy bod. Just me."

He placed his hands on his hips. He looked happier than he ought to.

"I've got a modified sentinel tail. Very heavy, but the sharp blade on the end can sever limbs. Great for accidentally knocking shit over."

He pulled up his shirt. His torso was filled with the same red liquid as his tail.

"This is where the flamethrower juice is made. Flows to the rest of my body from here. As a plus if anyone tries to shoot me I'll explode violently and take them out with me."

He spoke from experience.

"I don't have the crazy multi-tool that DDrones have. Just the flamethrower and pointy hands. I have special eyes though. There's sentinel bootloop tech behind my visor. No insane eyeball headband though."

He tapped his chin.

"There's no reason for the high heels. I just thought they looked cool."

She deeply thought on it alot, despite the one thing, she did seem very interested in all the design ideas of how to counter the disassemblers, it was a more violent option, but it was the end times and such. It was interesting to see that he focused primarily on heat instead of any other things, but it was a easily abundant option so it makes so much sense to do

“So, I have my heels for extra transport, so what do you have instead of that and wings?”

She asked, a curious spark in her digital visor eyes at the thought of what he might have instead

He was just glad that he was off the hook for now. He knew what drone activists thought of people like him, and now he understood why. Four spider-like appendages sprouted from his back and lifted him off the ground. If you've ever seen Invader Zim, the limbs worked a lot like the ones the alien guy had. Isaac spread his arms wide, soaking in the attention.

"Yes, yes. I look cool as hell and I know it."

The legs braced and then sprung up, launching Isaac into to air. Two of them caught the railing on the mall's second story. The other two formed a sort of seat that Isaac sat cross-legged on. It almost looked like a weird swing set.

"Can I fly? No. Can I jump as high as you? Probably not. I can, however, do tricks that DDrones could only dream of. There are no downsides here. This was purely genius inventing on my part."

Maybe they were a bit more casual about death, but that could easily be because of the current circumstances rather than something baked in. Hard to say. He couldn't exactly ask one if they wanted to do a vivisection just for fun. It was tempting, though. He'd love to see how the solver stuff worked especially.

Isaac lounged on a dusty bed in the middle of the mall's abandoned mattress shop. He had been passing the time by counting specks of dirt on the ceiling. Every time he lost count, he started over. Aha! An intruder. He leaped off the bed and took off into the main area with his flamethrower at the ready. Nine times out of ten any visitors he had were disassembly drones. Hell, maybe this one would even banter with him as he did so. A perfect cure for boredom.

“On the day of my transfer, it was also the day the core would collapse…meaning while the transfer completed…the jolt caused my wake up to happen later than intended….”

"I know better now, of course! But back on Earth all I had to go off of was JCJ propaganda and my own lack of experience. I did repairs and modifications. The drones I interacted with were almost never awake. I thought it was like an AI situation where they just acted alive because that's how they were programmed."

"But hey! I got my just desserts. No poor drone ended up in this crummy bod. Just me."

"I've got a modified sentinel tail. Very heavy, but the sharp blade on the end can sever limbs. Great for accidentally knocking shit over."

"This is where the flamethrower juice is made. Flows to the rest of my body from here. As a plus if anyone tries to shoot me I'll explode violently and take them out with me."

"I don't have the crazy multi-tool that DDrones have. Just the flamethrower and pointy hands. I have special eyes though. There's sentinel bootloop tech behind my visor. No insane eyeball headband though."

He tapped his chin.

"There's no reason for the high heels. I just thought they looked cool."

She deeply thought on it alot, despite the one thing, she did seem very interested in all the design ideas of how to counter the disassemblers, it was a more violent option, but it was the end times and such. It was interesting to see that he focused primarily on heat instead of any other things, but it was a easily abundant option so it makes so much sense to do

“So, I have my heels for extra transport, so what do you have instead of that and wings?”

She asked, a curious spark in her digital visor eyes at the thought of what he might have instead

He was just glad that he was off the hook for now. He knew what drone activists thought of people like him, and now he understood why. The things he did under the employment of JCJenson would best go unspoken. Happy to focus on something else, Isaac hopped back a couple feet as a metallic "thunk" came from inside his body. Four spider-like appendages sprouted from his back and lifted him off the ground. If you've ever seen Invader Zim, the limbs worked a lot like the ones the alien guy had. Isaac spread his arms wide, soaking in the attention.

"Yes, yes. I look cool as hell and I know it."

The legs braced and then sprung up, launching Isaac into to air. Two of them caught the railing on the mall's second story. The other two formed a sort of seat that Isaac sat cross-legged on. It almost looked like a weird swing set.

"Can I fly? No. Can I jump as high as you? Probably not. I can, however, do tricks that DDrones could only dream of. There are no downsides here. This was purely genius inventing on my part."

He looked absurdly proud of himself.

"As for your questions... It's a little wacky, but it feels like watching an ant farm."

He wasn't sure how to phrase this very well without spilling his whole deal to Op, but he'd try.

"Like, it's an entire world that functions outside of everything else and you're just an observer. I'm not a part of it, but I'm in the thick of it."

He supposed one didn't just wake up one day feeling like a drone. Even with a robotic body, his mind was still human. It's like he was watching his own life through a screen. It hadn't felt real in a long time.

"It's a cool place. Totally different nowadays. I'm here doing my own thang."

He said the last part in a goofy voice. After a moment, he looked down at his hands.

"...Haven't paid much attention to my senses."

"I don't feel much when it comes to textures and stuff. I can tell hot and cold much easier."

He'd probably neglected to connect some sensory wires or something while building the prototype. He had been in a bit of a hurry after all.

“This nanite regen applier here…name pending, is my thing I used to keep my mind busy with, even if I didn’t complete my original lil goal, I can still attempt to help out where I can, I managed to reprogram the nanites into that when they repair, they check the drones memory banks, and then repair that, regardless of the type of drone, allowing me to live up to the helper bot more then those at corporate thought”

"I wouldn't put too much stock into JCJ's opinion. They hardly know up from down, let alone anything about the kinda stuff we make. The bottom line is that they only care about the bottom line. Not worth the brain space it takes to think about them. The command you have over both hardware and software is pretty damn amazing."

Isaac lounged on a dusty bed in the middle of the mall's abandoned mattress shop. He had been passing the time by counting specks of dirt on the ceiling. Every time he lost count, he started over. Aha! An intruder. He leaped off the bed and took off into the main area with his flamethrower at the ready. Nine times out of ten any visitors he had were disassembly drones. Hell, maybe this one would even banter with him as he did so. A perfect cure for boredom.

Instead who he finds is…someone different than the typical yellow dd, infact she doesn’t look like a normal dd at all…

The way her legs were designed, the oddly female humanoid chest, the symbol on her chest was a skull with a oil can crammed into it, the arms on her, the weird machine on her back, all of it pointed to her being some sort of lab project, if it had to be guessed

“Hmmm…usually these places have good scrap for inventions….darn it…this is what I get for living in that secret area in bunker-3….”

Instead who he finds is…someone different than the typical yellow dd, infact she doesn’t look like a normal dd at all…

The way her legs were designed, the oddly female humanoid chest, the symbol on her chest was a skull with a oil can crammed into it, the arms on her, the weird machine on her back, all of it pointed to her being some sort of lab project, if it had to be guessed

“These heels are filled with industrial grade springs and pistons, allowing me to launch off the ground on command, allowing me to reach the average height that a disassembler reaches via flight, meaning I’m super hero jumping and parkouring for traversal”

“So, I have my heels for extra transport, so what do you have instead of that and wings?”

Aha! An intruder. He leaped off the bed and took off into the main area with his flamethrower at the ready. Nine times out of ten any visitors he had were disassembly drones. Hell, maybe this one would even banter with him as he did so. A perfect cure for boredom.

He didn't mind that fact, it actually excited him! He loved a good fight. He beamed, his pointy teeth practically sparkling. He'd enjoy ripping another one of those monsters to bits. Hell, maybe this one would even banter with him as he did so. A perfect cure for boredom.

Instead who he finds is…someone different than the typical yellow dd, infact she doesn’t look like a normal dd at all…

The way her legs were designed, the oddly female humanoid chest, the symbol on her chest was a skull with a oil can crammed into it, the arms on her, the weird machine on her back, all of it pointed to her being some sort of lab project, if it had to be guessed

“Hmmm…usually these places have good scrap for inventions….darn it…this is what I get for living in that secret area in bunker-3….”

“Great. I get to die again. Another disassembly wants my head…what else is new.”

She softly sighed

Her expression was furrowing into its annoyed look, she spoke like dd’s have already been killing her over and over again, odd in of itself

Aha! An intruder. He leaped off the bed and took off into the main area with his flamethrower at the ready. Nine times out of ten any visitors he had were disassembly drones. He didn't mind that fact, it actually excited him! He loved a good fight. He beamed, his pointy teeth practically sparkling. He'd enjoy ripping another one of those monsters to bits. Hell, maybe this one would even banter with him as he did so. A perfect cure for boredom.

Instead who he finds is…someone different than the typical yellow dd, infact she doesn’t look like a normal dd at all…

The way her legs were designed, the oddly female humanoid chest, the symbol on her chest was a skull with a oil can crammed into it, the arms on her, the weird machine on her back, all of it pointed to her being some sort of lab project, if it had to be guessed
