just saw a clip of a poly couple talking about how they don’t think you have to be in or even seeking multiple relationships to be poly. that sometimes it’s comforting enough to have the validation of knowing you both agree that you have the capacity of loving multiple people romantically, and that that love cannot be ranked or compared
suddenly a lot makes sense. i think I could be in a relationship with one person who shares this belief but i don’t think i could be in a monogamous relationship without contorting myself into a shape that does not resemble how i feel about love
