   using the last of her energy, the goddess of the ocean formed a child from the clay on a near shoreline.  their skin was RICH with the love of makali  &  zairo  /  with the beauty  &  essence that the gift of life offers.  melanin glowing in the presence of the light the moon sheds,  &  spirit naturally drawn to the oceanside.  hair like waves, curling  &  cascading over cheeks with the ebony pigment of the night sky above  /  heart soft yet capable of bearing great strength, gracious in spirit  &  body.  in all  -  a beauty  -  a gift from their mother, whose receding words were the name that shone through aura, so that anyone who encounters them will know their name,     KAHNAQ.  kahnaq, in makali’s language translating to ‘  GREATEST LOVE,  ‘  so for them to never forget how they came to be,  &  reminding them of the strength  &  beauty that compassion  &  love can give birth to.
