Chapter 3: The Waltz of the Marionettes and the Song of Despair
Ernesto's threat echoed through the megaphones like an electric shock, leaving behind a sharp, distorted ringing that made everyone’s eardrums vibrate. The silence that followed was broken only by the ominous crackle of the neon lights, which shifted from a cotton-candy pink to a dark, blinking blood-red.
"Die? Tsk, listen to the puppet master talk big," Ace growled, gripping his magical pen as the heart symbol over his eye seemed to light up with a furious glow. "We’ve faced worse than four talking pieces of wood!"
"Don’t underestimate them, Ace," Trey warned, stepping forward to shield Cater. His amber eyes scanned the fog, which was now thickening around their feet like black tendrils. "If they captured Yuu and Grim without us noticing, it means the very structure of this place is manipulating our perceptions."
Cater, still clutching his smartphone—its screen completely blacked out by strings of corrupted code—swallowed hard. "Guys, the GPS coordinates... they're gone. We’re not on the map anymore. It’s like we’re trapped inside a post deleted from the server."
"Fff... Ahaha! How wonderful! Then we can break them all, right Jade?!" Floyd stretched his arms out, his fingers twitching as if he were already squeezing a prey's neck. His magical aura, a surging wave of unstable, bluish energy, clashed with the surrounding fog, making it evaporate with a sinister hiss. "Those puppets make such funny noises when they snap. I bet Ernesto will make the exact same sound!"
"Calm down, Floyd. Maintain your decorum," Jade said, though the smile plastered on his face was anything but reassuring. His heterochromic eyes gleamed with a ruthless coldness. "Ernesto-san... I fear you have severely abused our patience. Kidnapping the Prefect of the Ramshackle Dorm and Grim-san violates every basic rule of hospitality."
In the center of the group, Kalim staggered, on the verge of fainting, but was caught and supported by Jack. The oppressive magic of the park was draining his strength. "Yuu... Grim... we have to save them..." he whispered, before his eyelids grew too heavy.
"Hang in there, Kalim!" Jack exclaimed, positioning himself in front of him with his fangs bared and his thick tail tense with agitation. "No one is dying tonight. Not while I still have breath in my body!"
Meanwhile, in the Scarabia Lounge...
Jamil Viper stared at his phone screen, his teeth clenched and his breathing heavy. The gruesome images hidden within the details of that "Playful Land" post continued to haunt him. He knew perfectly well that the place was a death trap, and that Kalim, with his usual helpless naivety, had walked straight into the wolf's mouth.
A terrible dilemma froze him in his tracks. As Vice Housewarden, the rules and his deep sense of duty to the dorm dictated that he remain. If he left, Scarabia would be left without a leader, vulnerable and in total chaos, and he could finally prove to everyone that he was capable of handling the role of leader, fittingly replacing Kalim. But on the other hand... Kalim was his greatest responsibility. If something irreparable happened to him, Jamil’s very life would shatter under the weight of failure and the guilt of failing to protect the one who, despite everything, was the center of his world.
"If I stay here, I will maintain order... but he won’t survive that place," Jamil whispered, his voice cracking with panic. He clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white, making his decision. "To hell with the dorm rules. I won’t let that puppet touch him." Grabbing his magical pen and throwing on his hood, Jamil rushed out of the dorm, ready to brave anything just to bring Kalim back home safe and sound.
Meanwhile, in the Dead of Night...
Rook Hunt ran across the rooftops of the city, his silhouette taut like an arrow shot from a bow. He hadn't had time to use his Signature Spell, "I See You," on his beloved Housewarden before his departure; the magical fog of Playful Land had severed every visual and spiritual trace. But Rook was no ordinary hunter. A true predator does not rely solely on magic, but on senses primordially sharpened by instinct.
Stopping at the peak of a Gothic spire, Rook closed his eyes and strained his ears. The wind carried the heavy scent of coastal sea salt, but underneath it lay something foreign: a subtle, artificial note of burnt cotton candy and rotting wood.
> "Ah, mon beau Roi du Poison... your fragrance is unique in the world, but even your absence leaves a trail I can follow," Rook whispered, a feverish smile curling his lips.
Without the aid of his signature spell, Rook utilized his knowledge of magical currents and botany. Looking down, he noticed that the wildflowers along the northern path were withering instantly, stripped of their vitality. He understood immediately, combined with the scent, that this was the result of the magic left behind by Vil's signature spell. That trail of botanical decay was his map. Leaping down from the spire, he headed at breakneck speed toward the coast, guided solely by the scent of corrupted magic and his unwavering devotion.
Back at Playful Land...
The ground shook. From the main tent, enormous wooden marionettes with wide-gaping mouths began to march in unison, their invisible strings connected directly to the darkened sky. At the center of that grotesque army, suspended in two cages made of bone and rusted metal, were an unconscious Yuu and Grim, whose blue ear-flames were reduced to faint sparks.
"My friends! Welcome to the final act!" Ernesto’s voice echoed once more, but this time it didn't come from the megaphones. A massive shadow in the shape of a fox loomed against the tent, its eyes bloodshot with purple flames. "Songs, dances, sweets... everything comes with a price. And your ticket is paid for with your lives!"
Vil Schoenheit stepped forward, the ashen breeze lifting his blonde and lilac hair. His face, usually flawless, was contorted in an expression of pure disdain.
"A truly trite ending for such a mediocre show," Vil decreed, raising his pen with regal elegance. The embedded amethyst flashed with a blinding light, casting protective barriers around the group. "Do you think our beauty and our will bow to scraps of leftover wood? Lilia! Ortho! Let’s set the stage for their demolition!"
"With immense pleasure, Vil," Lilia chuckled, his red/fuchsia eyes gleaming with an ancient and frightening thirst for battle as shadow bats began to tear through the fog. "Let us show these young craftsmen how a true monster of the night behaves."
"Weapon systems at 100%! Magical purification mode: Active!" Ortho announced, his thrusters glowing a dazzling neon blue. "Let's recover Yuu and Grim. Nobody touches my brother’s companions!"
"Take this! Fire!" Ace yelled, dodging a swipe from a marionette before counterattacking with a flurry of fiery wind blades. "If you think we’re going to give up that easily, you've got it all wrong!"
"Ace, cover the right flank!" Trey commanded, his wand outstretched as he erected a hexagonal magical shield to parry the sharp strings raining from above. "Cater, can you distract the smaller puppets?"
"I'll try, Trey-Trey! But the magic here is draining even my clones!" Cater summoned three copies of himself, which lunged at Ernesto’s minions to draw attention away from the cages. "Come on, dummies, look over here!"
"Floyd-senpai, move! The big ones are coming!" Jack shouted, crashing into a giant marionette with the brute force of his enhanced fists, shattering its wooden chest with a devastating impact. However, blood gushed from it... a mountain of blood... all over Jack's face... but even looking at the fallen puppet as the blood poured out, he kept fighting, because this was a life-or-death situation...
"Ahaha! On my way!" Floyd leapt into the air, his lithe and lethal movements evading enemy strikes. With a sharp flick of his magical pen, he unleashed a blast of compressed water that snapped three defenders in half with a single hit. "Look at them burst into pieces! Ernesto, come on out! I want to squeeze you until your head pops off!"
"Keep your focus, Floyd," Jade added, moving with a ghostly, lethal grace. With surgical precision, he threw darts of green magic that severed the marionettes' invisible strings, causing them to collapse to the ground like empty shells. "We need to clear a path to the cages before the structure completely collapses."
Leona Kingscholar bypassed everyone, taking his place at the exact center of the battlefield. His gaze was a promise of total destruction; his usual laziness was gone, replaced by the ruthless efficiency of the King of the Savannah.
"You played with the wrong prey, you wooden blocks," Leona growled, his deep voice making the entire structure of Playful Land vibrate. He raised his magical pen, and an immense, destructive circle of sand expanded beneath his feet. "King's Roar!"
A devastating wave of desert energy and arid sand crashed over the enemy army and the foundations of the main tent. At his command, the polished wood of the puppets began to crack, drying out instantly and turning into fine dust that the wind scattered into the air. The ground beneath Yuu and Grim's cages gave way under the force of the artificial earthquake, causing them to drop dangerously downward.
"Cater! Ace! Now! Move those legs and grab the Prefect!" Leona roared, his muscles straining under the effort as he continued to channel his magic to crumble the enemy advance. "Bring down that damn tent so we can take them back!"
With a combined roar of spells and battle cries, the students of Night Raven College joined forces, overwhelming Playful Land's final line of defense in an explosion of light and debris... the battle continues...

Chapter 2: The Splintered Mirror and the Echoes of the Hearth
The artificial heartbeat of Playful Land vibrated through the soles of their boots, a sickening, rhythmic thud that seemed to warp the very air. As the figures of Ernesto and Gino dissolved fully into the cloying mist, the colorful lights of the carousel flickered violently, casting long, skeletal shadows across the wooden planks of the boardwalk.
Leona Kingscholar didn’t waste another second. The golden embroidery of his festive jacket caught the erratic flashes of light as his magical aura flared—a harsh, golden shimmer that smelled of dry earth and impending storms.
"Tsk. Playtime is over" Leona growled, his voice vibrating deep in his chest. His ears flattened against his head as the distorted music of the park screeched to a sudden, grinding halt.
Beside him, Jack Howl bared his fangs, his muscles tensing beneath his parade uniform as he adopted a defensive stance, guarding Leona’s blind spot with fierce loyalty.
A few paces away, Trey Clover kept his hand firmly over Cater’s, grounding his senior. Cater’s usual bright, superficial smile was entirely gone, replaced by a sharp, calculating focus as he stared at the static-drowned screen of his phone.
"The magic here isn't just blocking communications, Trey Trey..." Cater murmured, his voice dropping its usual playful lilt. "It's feeding on our presence. Every look, every post... it’s like it’s draining the reality right out of us."
"Then we break the stage" Trey replied, his amber eyes hardening behind his glasses. He didn't let go of Cater’s hand until he felt the tremor in the other man's fingers subside. "We don't play by their script anymore."
Among them, Kalim Al-Asim stumbled slightly, pressing a hand against his forehead. The golden details of his festive attire, usually so bright, seemed to absorb the dim light of the lanterns rather than reflect it. A strange, unnatural lethargy washed over him, a heavy weight that made even his cheerful smile feel impossible to maintain.
"Hey... does anyone else feel like the air is getting incredibly heavy?" Kalim murmured, his voice lacking its usual vibrant energy. He looked at his magical pen, but the light within the gemstone was flickering weakly, suppressed by the dark magic of the amusement park. "I feel like... like I'm losing my breath."
"Floyd, don't wander off" a smooth, chilling voice cut through the fog. Jade Leech stepped closer to Kalim, his posture impeccably upright despite the shifting terrain. His golden eye gleamed with a calculating coldness beneath his bangs. "It would be quite troublesome if our companion from Scarabia fainted before the performance even reached its climax."
"Ehhh~ but Jade, this place is totally suffocating! It's like being stuck in a tank with stagnant water," Floyd groaned, tossing his head back. He toyed lazily with the golden buttons of his extravagant festival jacket, but his heterochromia eyes snapped left and right with predatory sharpness. He swung his long arms, his movements loose but lethal, like an eel ready to strike. "Hey, Sea Otter-kun, if you pass out, I'm going to step on you, okay? So stay awake. I want to squeeze those wooden puppets, not carry you around."
"I-I'm fine!" Kalim tried to reassure them, forcing a weak smile, though his hands were trembling under the oppressive magical interference
Ace Trappola adjusted his cape with a sharp tug, his eyes darting toward the main tent where the shadows seemed to stretch unnaturally. "About time. This outfit is way too stiff for a horror show anyway. Let's show these puppets how Heartslabyul handles a rigged game."
Meanwhile, across the vast distance in the quiet halls of Night Raven College...
The silence in the Heartslabyul lounge was suffocating. Deuce Spade had finally stopped pacing the courtyard, now standing just inside the entrance, his fingers tracing the cold metal of his magical pen. Every instinct honed from his wilder days told him that his partner was facing something reckless.
"Sit down, Deuce. Your agitated pacing is disrupting the decorum of the lounge" Riddle Rosehearts commanded, though his own voice lacked its usual thunderous authority. Riddle sat perfectly upright, but his gaze remained frozen on the dark liquid in his teacup. The reflection of the chandelier shivered as his hands trembled. His mind wasn't on the rules; it was miles away, wondering if a certain unpredictable, cyan/blu-haired eel was currently laughing in the face of danger, or if he had finally crossed a line he couldn't cross back.
Across campus in the deep silence of Savanaclaw, the atmosphere was entirely different—heavy with the scent of old wood and the exhausting reality of a broken routine.
In the dim light of the Housewarden’s chamber, Ruggie Bucchi gently swayed back and forth, holding little Leo tight against his shoulder. The infant had finally stopped crying, his tiny lion tail twitching occasionally in his sleep, a perfect miniature of his stubborn father. Ruggie let out a long, ragged sigh, his large hyena ears drooping with sheer fatigue. The oversized hoodie he wore offered little comfort against the cold draft entering through the window.
"You really picked the worst time to play the hero, Leona" Ruggie whispered into the quiet room, his eyes burning with unshed tears and exhaustion. He looked down at the baby’s face, tracing the small brow. "Your dad better have a good excuse when he gets back, Leo. Because if he returns saying that "it was all tha pthers fault and he didn't want to be dragged with them", I’m making him clean the entire lounge by himself and he will do everything i'll tell him to do."
Meanwhile with Azul that was meticulously organizing documents behind the Mostro Lounge counter, his white gloves sliding precisely over the papers. He was checking and re-checking the same inventory sheets, a clear sign of his internal panic. His glasses caught the dim light as he finally put down his pen, his expression unusually grave. "Oh my sevens Jade...you really know how to make me sick worried about you huh? And i already know thay you're enjoying it, i can clearly feel it even with such distance. And this two are the ones that i have to take care of (fortunatly for me i'm not taking care of Floyd but they are the same so it's a heachache)."
In Scarabia...
Jamil was thinking about what he could do to find Kalim while sitting on the comfortable couch in the Scarabia lounge. And after he'd been thinking hard about where he might be, it was then that he remembered Kalim's suggestion... about a place called "Playful Land," a place very famous because it's so rare to get a ticket there. Jamil jumped up and searched "Playful Land" on his phone and found so many posts saying that place is wonderful and fun, but Jamil knew there MUST be something wrong with that place where even if he tries to call Kalim, he can't. And there it was, in Jamil's eyes his death had passed... in one post there were boys and girls with dazzling smiles and they seemed to be having fun but... in the corner of the photo you could see some puppets with twisted smiles and one with a bloody knife and in the background of the photo you could see a twisted shadow of a fox man... Jamil panicked and decided that he had to do something to get Kalim safe and sound, and so he began to do some research about the place where they are.
"Kalim... you absolute fool," Jamil hissed under his breath, his chest heaving as a wave of imminent danger washed over his senses. "What kind of mess have you dragged yourself into this time?
Back at the epicenter of the illusion, the fog began to take shape, twisting into grotesque, wooden marionettes that blocked the path forward.
Vil Schoenheit stepped to the front of the group, his shiny black fabric swirling around his waist like a royal shroud. His violet eyes flashed with an icy, dangerous precision. He could feel the artificial nature of this place trying to dull his senses, but Vil's discipline was absolute.
"To think I allowed myself to be lured into such an uninspired trap" Vil said, his voice cutting through the thick mist like a diamond. He raised his magical pen, the amethyst gem at its tip glowing with a lethal brilliance. "A beautiful facade means nothing if the foundation is rotten. Ernesto... Gino... you will pay dearly for wasting my time."
Unbeknownst to Vil, back in the elegant lounge of Pomefiore, Rook Hunt stood by the grand window. He was no longer just watching the horizon. A fierce, unyielding determination overrode his usual poetic stillness. He knew his duty; as Vice Housewarden, rules and tradition dictated that he must remain behind to govern the dorm and maintain absolute order while the Housewarden was away. Leaving meant abandoning his post, a betrayal of school protocol that would undoubtedly cost him his title and plunge Pomefiore into absolute chaos without its two leaders.
But as he tightened his leather gloves and grabbed his hunting gear, Rook didn't hesitate for a single second. The title of Vice Housewarden, the rules of the school, the inevitable disorder of the dorm—none of it mattered compared to the terrifying thought of never seeing the love of his life again. He could not remain under this roof while his queen was trapped, after all he was his hunter, how could he let that slide?
"Let the lounge fall into chaos if it must," Rook whispered, his green eyes flashing with the raw, untamed instinct of a predator on the scent. He climbed onto the window sill, the evening wind whipping his blonde hair. "They can strip me of my title, but they cannot strip me of my devotion. Ah, mon beau Roi du Poison... I am coming for you, no matter the cost!"
With a fluid, silent leap, he vanished into the dark night, abandoning his post to hunt down the illusion that dared to hold Vil captive.
Beside the oblivious Vil at Playful Land, Lilia Vanrouge chuckled, though the sound was entirely devoid of its usual warmth. His crimson eyes glowed in the darkness as his ancient magical aura began to leak into the air, causing the wooden puppets nearby to creak in sudden, instinctual fear.
"My, my. It seems the hosts have forgotten their manners," Lilia said softly, his small stature radiating a terrifying, centuries-old pressure. "My boys must be growing quite anxious back at the dorm. I suggest we wrap up this festival quickly."
Ortho Shroud hovered slightly lower, his internal cooling fans whirring loudly as his systems ran under maximum stress. "Lilia-san, my internal processors are experiencing a 40% drop in synchronization with my brother's main frame. The magical interference is peaking. We must breach the central tent immediately."
As if responding to the digital distress call, Silver jolted in his chair back in the Diasomnia lounge, his hand immediately flying to his sword-hilt. The phantom warmth of Ortho's digital presence and the comforting shadow of Lilia felt dangerously faint.
"Lilia-sama... Ortho..." Silver muttered, his vision clearing as he forced his chronic drowsiness away with sheer willpower. "The guard cannot sleep while the family is in danger."
The carousel gave one final, violent shudder, and the wooden faces of the marionettes split open into wide, jagged grins. The golden illusion of Playful Land cracked like cheap glass, revealing the dark, twisted framework underneath.
"Well now," Jade Leech murmured, his voice dripping with venomous politeness as he precisely adjusted his gloves. His sharp teeth glinted under the flickering strobe lights. "It seems our hosts have dropped their pleasant disguises. How liberating. Floyd, let us ensure they regret their lack of hospitality."
"Aha~ finally!" Floyd laughed, a wild, unstable sound that echoed through the dark theme park. His magical aura flared violently, casting a dangerous shadow over the approaching marionettes. "Time to snap these little dolls in half!"
With a unified roar of magical energy, the students of Night Raven College drew their weapons. The silence of the park was shattered once and for all, replaced by the rising tide of battle.
But...before it started, something was wrong...like, if they forgot someone here...but only after a few minutes Trey noticed the absence of two of their friends... "Where are Yuu and Grim?" Trey said that with a confused and worried voice. Everyone trurned to see him and they noticed the loss...They were all so worried about the situation they were in that they hadn't noticed the absence of their friends...how could they not notice the absence of two very important people to them...? But shortly after, the megaphones that were scattered throughout the park made strange, almost glitchy sounds, and behind those sounds, a familiar voice could be heard... it was Ernesto. "Look, have you noticed now that two of your friends are missing from that nice little group, huh?" he said, while giggling could be heard in the background. "So you were the one who took our friends!" Ortho said as he was clearly angry. "The only way to get them back is...to do absolutely nothing!", They were all astonished at his words...do nothing? What's the point? "You better not play with the fire Ernesto! This is serious!" Jack dosse as he gets into a defensive position for anything that would happen. "well, my dear little wolf...i'm dead serious about that...I think you've seen the beautiful posts and photos that Playful Land visitors have made, right?" ; "Well, yes what ahout it?" Cater answered confused. "Well, let's just say that you saw the surface of the park..." ; "We can clearly see it" Leona said with an annoyed tone. "So,I didn't want to tell you in this...horrible way but...the time has come..." "Tell us what exactly?" Ace said that with an annoyed and confused voice as he knows he's about to wait for something ungrateful. "I'm sorry to break it to you this way, but...tonight you all...WILL DIE!"
Will our fellow students escape from this deadly place? Will Jamil discover a way to finally rescue Kalim? Will Rook be with his beloved one before he dies? Will they survive...?
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT!!!! (*^▽^)/★*☆♪゚+.ヽ(≧▽≦)ノ.+゚❤️❤️ Idk I'm repeating what I said in the first chapter but I just really like describing the emotions they feel!! And YEP!! This will be reaaallllyyy dark because i love horror stories,movies,gore....muehehehe >:3 and ofc i WILL NOT put something unconfortable for the readers because ik there are people who doesn't like it (i'll only put like...some blood? Or something like that but very light dw dw (*ゝω・*)) (Did you notice the difference? 🫠)
So, this is my first fanfiction and that's about the event "Playful land" from the game Twisted wonderland
It's all thanks to @seafantasy (ty very much🤭😌)
And I decided to include my ships but if you want you can see them as platonic or only friends, so here is some warnings for the readers:
1) ships: Trey x cater ; Jamil x Kalim ; Jade x Azul ; Floyd x Riddle ; Leona x Ruggie ; and I decided to include this very rare pair... Silver x Ortho :3. Yeah i know, some people say that Ortho is tecnically a 8 year old boy by his design and purpose of being created but I want to make him like a normal student that has 16 years old like theo ther first years 🥹🫰(and i didn't see any ship of him so...) ; and Lilia is with me uwu (just kidding...unfortunately 😔🫰)
2) in my AU Malleus, Silver and Sabek are brothers (not by blood) and they all are Lilia's children (what a cute family🥹❤️)
I don't think i need to add anything else soooo....ENJOY!! (Tagging another person who really wanted to read it 🤭 @mary-lennox-1955)
The story begins with them already in Playful Land and about to discover the truth of where they were, but something doesn't add up... is there something that is about to happen suddenly and no one could do anything...?
Chapter 1: The Deception of Playful Land and the Weight of Silence
The fog at Playful Land was nothing like the usual mist of the Isle of Sages. It was dense, scented with stale cotton candy and ancient wood, swirling around the visitors' ankles like magical smoke. The lights of the amusement rides cast distorted reflections onto the puddles.
At the center of the park, "Cater Diamond" adjusted the collar of his scarlet parade jacket, which was dense with golden embroidery and shiny buttons that matched the festival's theme. He smiled, his smartphone already raised to capture the perfect light from the lanterns, but his green eyes betrayed a subtle tension. Beside him, "Trey Clover"tightened his official white gloves, his uniform identical to Cater's but worn with a rigidity that reflected his anxiety.
> "Cater, slow down," Trey whispered, his voice low, nearly drowned out by the sinister sound of the carousel's barrel organ. His hand rested on the other’s shoulder for a second—a brief movement, yet loaded with a silent warmth—before withdrawing. "Something isn't right with this background music."
> Cater turned around, his influencer smile vanishing for a millisecond to reveal the real Cater: tired, alert. "I know, Trey-kun. But if we don't keep walking, we risk drawing attention. Look over there."
A few meters away, beneath the sign of a wooden sideshow, **Fellow Honest** smiled slyly, adjusting his top hat with a theatrical gesture of his gloved fingers. Beside him, the little cat **Gideon** held his large toy mallet, his green eyes fixed on the newcomers with poorly concealed greed. There was something deeply distorted about their movements—too fluid, too calculated.
Leaning against a wooden doorpost nearby, "Leona Kingscholar" scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. He was wearing the flashy event jacket, which annoyed him because it made it quite difficult to move around. His lion ears twitched nervously toward the noises of the park. He hated this place, he hated the smell of everything fake, and, above all, he hated being away from the dorm at that moment. His mind remained back at Savanaclaw, where he knew Ruggie had to look after everything all by himself.
Beside him, "Jack Howl" walked with his head held high, also wrapped in the festive colors of the park. "This place reeks of something rotten," Jack growled in a low voice, clenching his fists. "Those two, Ernesto and Gino, I don't like them one bit. They're up to something, I can feel it."
"Shut your mouth, Jack," Leona growled back, his voice deep and irritated. "The sooner we expose this farce, the sooner I get back to the dorm. I have more important things to deal with than watching puppets."
At Playful Land, the rides continued to spin with dark creaks. "Ace Trappola" adjusted his hat and the cape that fluttered behind him, draped over his left shoulder. He walked with long strides, trying to hide his annoyance at the oppressive atmosphere.
Meanwhile, in the main courtyard of Night Raven College...
"Deuce Spade" paced back and forth beneath the unlit streetlamps. He wore his uniform jacket unbuttoned, his hair slightly disheveled by the evening wind. He felt a knot in his stomach. He had tried to call Ace, but the phone showed zero signal. His hand tightened around the Heartslabyul dorm emblem on his jacket. "Don't go doing anything stupid, Ace," he muttered into the darkness, his heart racing a mile a minute.
The narrative shifts back to the heart of the park, where the fog grew thicker around the main tent. "Kalim Al-Asim", in his festive attire rich with golden details that shimmered in the candlelight, stared at the attractions with wide eyes, but his usual cheerfulness was subdued. He felt a strange exhaustion.
In the quiet of Scarabia...
"Jamil Viper" sat in the dorm Lounge, the light fabrics of his uniform brushing against the golden cushions. He wasn't studying. His dark eyes were fixed on the empty space ahead, his mind constantly strained toward the magical bond and the sense of responsibility that tied him to Kalim. He felt an annoying emptiness in his chest, a sensation of imminent danger that forced him to grip his magical pen until his knuckles turned white.
Back at the park, "Lilia Vanrouge" walked through the grounds, the Playful Land uniform hanging on him with an ancient and mysterious elegance. He was the only one maintaining an enigmatic smile, his crimson eyes gleaming in the darkness as he watched the shadows of the puppets stretch across the walls of the booths. Even though Lilia doesn't have a partner, his children (Malleus, Silver, and Sebek) are clearly worried about their father, who vanished without saying a word... but in the meantime, he focuses entirely on the magical and ephemeral nature of the park. He knew Ernesto was hiding something.
Beside him, "Ortho Shroud" floated in mid-air, his festive gear modified for the event—emitting small metallic clicks. "My sensors are detecting structural anomalies in the rides, Lilia Vanrouge-san," the little robot said, with his voice metallic but clearly worried about his brother and the companions left behind at school.
In the Diasomnia dormitory...
"Silver" suddenly jolted awake from one of his usual sleeping spells, sitting up in the armchair of the common room. The room was far too quiet without Lilia, who was always with him, and without his boyfriend, Ortho. "We must remain vigilant," he murmured to himself, his gaze fixed beyond the wind-swept window.
Meanwhile, in the Savanaclaw dormitory...
With both Leona and Jack away investigating at Playful Land, the savanna dorm had plunged into absolute silence. In Leona's room, illuminated only by a faint bedside lamp, little "Leo", Leona and Ruggie's few-months-old son, let out a soft cry from his dark wooden crib.
"Ruggie Bucchi", wearing a comfortable oversized hoodie and with his hair messed up, approached quickly, his hyena movements light and feline. He was visibly exhausted; the dark circles under his eyes were marked by the weight of the last few hours spent alone managing the baby, the dorm, and the constant, crushing worry for Leona and Jack trapped in that mysterious park.
> "Shh, be a good boy, Leo... Daddy will be back soon, I promise," Ruggie whispered, gently picking him up in his arms and cradling him. The infant's features, a spitting image of Leona, relaxed slightly, but Ruggie felt the massive weight of Leona's absence. He pressed the little one to his chest, looking out the window toward the dark sky. "I swear, Leona, if you're not back by tomorrow, I'm going to kill you..."
In the dim light of the Octavinelle Lounge...
"Azul Ashengrotto" meticulously organized documents behind the counter, his white gloves sliding precisely over the papers. His expression was tense.
At Playful Land, "Jade Leech" and "Floyd Leech" were walking among the stalls, wearing their extravagant festival jackets. Floyd toyed lazily with the golden buttons, bored, but with a gaze that snapped left and right.
At NRC, Azul felt the absence of Jade's millimetric precision. Beside him, sitting at a table in the Lounge, "Riddle Rosehearts" gripped a cup of now-cold tea. He wore his impeccable Housewarden uniform, his posture rigid as always, but his eyes kept staring at the clock. He was thinking of Floyd, and how much he missed the eel's unpredictable behavior in this moment of absolute, terrifying silence.
"Floyd will undoubtedly end up getting into trouble," Riddle muttered, clenching his teeth to hide the trembling of his hands. Azul nodded slowly, his expression grave: "Jade will know how to keep him in check, Riddle. But the magic of that park is blocking every commercial and communication channel. We must be ready for anything."
Back at the park was "Vil Schoenheit" wearing the same clothes as all the others, very elegant, in a deceptive purple and gold decorations, and he was walking with high guard and a cold gaze, the rides of the park that became increasingly darker the further he moved away from the heart of it. "I knew I shouldn't have trusted him...and yet here I am...this place is definitely wrong...something we didn't notice before we came in here..."
Meanwhile in Pomofiore...
Rook was sitting in the dorm lounge with a very elegant position and was wearing his uniform perfectly, it seemed that everything was fine but in reality his face betrayed him...his face had an expression of concern for his beloved Roi du Poison...he doesn't know where he is and he can't even use his signature spell to track him down because he hadn't marked him...after all, who would blame him, he didn't expect something like this to happen, yet his instincts said that Vil...is prey that has fallen into a trap..."Ah, mon beautiful Roi du Poison..I will find you, no matter what the cost"
At Playful Land, Ernesto and Gino took a step back, slowly vanishing into the artificial fog as the lights of the rides began to pulse to the rhythm of an artificial heartbeat.
Jack Howl stepped up beside Leona, growling with bared fangs. Leona narrowed his green eyes, his magical aura beginning to awaken around him, driven by a fierce desire to destroy that illusion and finally return to Ruggie and little Leo.
Cater snapped a photo, but on the smartphone screen, the image appeared completely distorted, full of static lines and wooden faces. Trey stepped forward, placing his gloved hand directly over Cater's hand that was gripping the phone, slowly lowering it. Their gazes met in the shadows, a moment of absolute, silent mutual understanding.
"It's time to stop pretending," Trey said, his voice echoing deep within the silence that was consuming the park. The golden illusion of Playful Land was about to collapse, and chaos was about to reign over that place...

Everything changed the day Amira was born. The world outside was collapsing — bombs, dust, screams, and fear. Yet inside a small room, by the dim light of a single candle, a new life began. While others were running for shelter, I was holding my newborn daughter, trembling, crying, trying to believe that something so pure could still exist in a place like Gaza. I named her Amira, because I wanted her to feel like a child of life —not a child of war.
A year has passed since that night, but nothing has really changed Our house is still rubble, our streets still carry the smell of smoke, and the sky still echoes with sounds that make Amira flinch in her sleep. She has just turned one. She’s learning to walk, holding my finger with her tiny hand, laughing at the smallest things — as if she doesn’t see the destruction around her. She doesn’t know the word “loss.” She never met her father, but when she smiles, I see him there. Sometimes I watch her sleeping, and I wonder what kind of world she will grow up in — whether she will ever know what peace feels like, what home smells like. And yet, when she opens her eyes in the morning and says “mama,” everything becomes bearable again. I want to rebuild our home. Not just for the walls — but for her future. For Amira to have a small room, a safe place to dream, a life that belongs to her, not to war. I’m not asking for much. Only for a chance to give her a beginning filled with warmth instead of fear
My name is Saja. I am a mother, a wife, and just one of many women in Gaza trying to hold on — to hope, to my family, and to a life that no

My favorite thing about Radiostatic is just how similar and yet so different Vox and Alastor are towards their art/craft.
Both of them are incredibly good showmen and very charismatic, and are willing to kill to get what they want. I know some people have been saying with the reveal of Brighter that Vox isn't actually charismatic, that the only way he got to where he was is by those murders, but that's not entirely true. We see that he does have those skills like Alastor - he's able to rally nearly all of hell into a war against heaven, even convincing other overlords to join him (including notoriously hard to impress overlords like Carmilla). He manages to throw a performance so entertaining it steals attention from Lucifer, their king, who pops in with an impressive light show and display of power.
In his life, Vox still shows this same charm and skill of performance, lacking showmanship isn't his issue. The issue he finds is that he wants to keep climbing but the positions he's greedy for were filled long before he arrived. He could wait for those positions to open naturally, for the other hosts or producers to retire or move on to other positions/projects, but in Vox's mind that would take too long. Killing is simply faster, but he shows that he has the charm and ability to fill their role very easily once the opportunity to perform shows itself. After all it's not like they had to choose him specifically to take over those positions, but when the opening was available he knew just what to say to swoop in and take control.
Where the two of them really differ is how they handle progress.
Alastor sees the benefits of making something built to last. He sees how something made with passion and in a style he enjoys performing in will always have an audience. His weakness in this regard is that he refuses to acknowledge the benefits of change. He digs his heels in and refuses to consider new perspectives, new themes, new audiences that he could reach. He limits himself to one specific thing and doesn't recognize how letting yourself and your art evolve and grow can be beneficial.
Vox is the exact opposite. He recognizes how new material, new ideas, and new perspectives can garner an audience. What he doesn't recognize (at least, not anymore) is that something simply existing in it's own space can have it's own merit and be worthy of attention. Something built to last has a level of quality that gives it more staying power than constantly trying to change to keep up with trends and what the masses deem as popular.
I really think the two of them could absolutely make amazing work and they would bounce off each other so well if they would just recognize this and meet each other half way. If Alastor were to acknowledge the benefits of letting yourself grow and expand out of your comfort zone to find new ideas, and Vox were to slow down and recognize that not everything needs to be new, new, new.
Hazbin Hotel AU ||Machine Of Hell Part 2||
Charlie, Vaggie, Husk, Nifty, Baxter and cherri bomb are all sitting inside a limo. Charlie said that she knew a person that could offer them a safer place to stay. Charlie still looks heartbroken that her plan failed and she now has to abandon the hotel. Vaggie put a comforting hand on Charlie's shoulder. Meanwhile, Vaggie is battling with her own inner struggles. She feels guilty for leaving Lucifer behind like that but at the same time she needed to get Charlie out of there before she got hurt.
ahh yes, my favorite trope: two people who started out as unlikely friends but one of them, out of self-isolating instinct, deeply hurt the other and caused them both to have the craziest fight scene of 2025 so now they're both just left with this animosity but in the span of the time they've known the other they've developed a deep, incredibly complex love where one cannot fathom existing without the other and also they're gay
