Ah no. Dittos are failed Mew clones as per common theory, but they weren't in the lab together (it's the discarded failed attempt, after all) (and a good few years older than Mewtwo, in fact), they just learned of their shared history after Mewtwo moved to Cerulean Cave and found a whole colony of them there (it seems the preference for this cave is instinctual)
