“My bird husband senses are tingling.”
Cue a playful pounce from above. “Heheh, still sharp as ever~”
*Blows a little dust off*
(Been a long time since I’ve been on here. Honestly, life’s kept me really busy and I haven’t had much muse for Dusk, but… well, I’m happy; I graduated today; Bachelor’s degree in Music. It’s a great feeling.)
"That makrs sense, considering who you were. So, no clouds and singing, nor fire and brimstone, then?"
“Neither. Which surprised me. I figured with everything I’d done, I’d had a one-way ticket to hell. I guess that could mean a few things. But whatever. So what do you want from me?”
"Do you remember what it was like when you were dead? You know, like the afterlife?"
“Nnnnot much. Just a sort of hollowness. That light? Just a trick of the dying mind. I remember feeling a lot of anger, though.”
"Stay and chat with me. I want to hear everything if what you remember."
“What’s there to say? I remember pretty much everything now... save for the finer details of when I died. I remember a lot of what lead to it, but not much of the moment itself.” He turned, looking at Ink. “...What do you even want to hear, anyway?”
"Who did you hear that from?"
“Word spreads. Not every day that a human appears in our world, after all. It’s nobody you would know.” The griffon shrugged, turning his head back and resuming walking away.
Ink released his grip, and hit his knees on the grassy earth. "I know I'm no better than you, but I just can't let it go..."
“…Tch…” Sean shook his head. “…It was just business. No more. No less. Not all of us were able to make our living in the ‘light side’ of life. Not all of us had the advantages that I hear you had for a while.” The griffon turned, making his way away, heading back home. “If you hate me, then hate me. You wouldn’t be the first. You want to try and kill me, you wouldn’t be the first, either. Even if you were successful, you still wouldn’t be the first. It matters little to me what you think of me.”
"You tried to have me killed! I was tortured for three days!" Ink grips the hilt of his jian, "...But, I can't fight you. It wouldn't be right."
“…What my employers did to you was no choice of my own. I was hired to capture you and bring you in. No more. No less. I didn’t even want to have to fight you then…”
He grimaced a bit as he saw Ink tense up. “…If you were to attack me, you’d win easily, now. The stuff that happened before I died… left me brain-damaged. I can grip my swords but I can’t fight like I used to. That’s why I teach flying and self-defense now, here in town.” His gaze grew icy. “Don’t fake some sort of holier-than-thou demeanor, ye damn bollix. If you want to take your tithe of blood, take it! I couldn’ fight you off right now anyway!”
"Oh, so you finally remember me? You remember the last time we met?" Ink's hand goes to his back.
“…Yeah. I remember everything now. It took a long while, but I remember.” Sean had his eyes closed before he turned his head to the human, green eyes locked on.
"Admittedly, I still don't remember much of you. I'm guessing you remember a lot about me though."
"Oh, yeah…we used to hang out, actually. But I didn’t look like a cat back then. No…I was a griffon."
(Cropped)
"Well, from what I remember, Ink caught you and me in the act, and he got really mad."
“Really… hmm. I wonder how long ago that was…” He had to admit that he had absolutely no memory of that at all… though Icarus’ story was bringing back some fragments.
"But… I think we used to go out, sometimes." He blushed.
“Hmm… I’d guess so. If Ink got that reaction…” Now he was starting to remember. They’d fought… and he’d taken a mercenary job not long after that had that human as his target. “…right…”
"And then you tried to kill him…"
“…That’s not true. I didn’t attempt to kill him when I took that job. Just capture. I rarely went near him after that.”
"Oh…" He sighed. "So. Dinner?"
“If you’re still up for it, sure. Just give me a bit to get ready.”
"Admittedly, I still don't remember much of you. I'm guessing you remember a lot about me though."

"No…I don’t really hate you anymore." He landed on his feet in front of the griffon. "Heh. You’re still as handsome as I remember."
“Hmhm.” Sean couldn’t help but chuckle a bit at that, dusting off his coat a bit. “…Flatterer. What about the human? He still hate me?”
"I don’t think so…" He shrugged. "Sean?"
“…Mmm? Aye?”
"Do you want me to fill you in about that part over dinner?"
“…Sure. I don’t have plans. I still have a lot of gaping holes in my memory, even though a lot of the important details are back.”
