Relaxing into Sean’s side as if were the most natural thing in the world, Ivy simply peered up at him, the smile remaining on her lips far after she’d placed it there. As Sean’s hand moved up and down her arm, Ivy closed her eyes, trying to savour the moment. And when Sean leaned down to place a few more kisses upon her lips, Ivy repeated his movements without hesitation. She kissed him back with just as much emotion as he had kissed her with, and she smiled against his lips just before he would pull away. Simply looking into the boys eyes had a grin plastered to Ivy’s face, and she couldn’t seem to shake it, no matter how hard she tried.
With a glance to the window, Ivy realized that the sun had long since set. She wondered for a moment if Sean was tired, and realized that he probably was. She felt exhaustion beginning to take effect in her joints, and had a feeling that because of today’s circumstances, Sean was feeling it worse than she was. As her fingertips continued to trace absently along Sean’s torso, Ivy considered his words. When it came to her life, Ivy felt like there wasn’t really anything unique about her besides what she had gone through since moving to Kings City. But as she pursed her lips and stared out the window, Ivy thought back to her time in Kentucky, the state within which she had been born and partially raised. There was nothing from her past that Ivy wanted to talk about (or that she really felt that Sean would care to know), but there was something new that Ivy considered kind of interested. “I think I’m going to go back to school; college, or something. I love working for Oliver, but that’s not what I want to do for the rest of my life.” Ivy shrugged, looking up at Sean with embarrassment colouring her expression. After leaning up to place a kiss upon the boy’s cheek, she smiled, “Your turn.”
Sean's eyes were glued to the side of Ivy's face as he listened to her talk. He didn't know what captured him about Ivy, maybe it was the way she presented herself or the way she talked, or maybe cause she worked for 'the other side'. With Sean's deepest secret being a danger in his life, he knew it was the most odd pairing, Ivy and him. Though they weren't a pairing, just a friendship with bonus kisses and cuddles. Who knew where they would go, who knows how far they'd go but that wasn't important, what was important what right here, right now. Sean smirked down at her as she told him about schooling. "Serious?" He asked.
"What would you study?" He asked, honestly curious. Having grown up on the streets and never getting any government education, he always wondered what it would be like, to learn for the fun of learning. Sean was smart, sure. But he was street smart, common sense smart. Not book smart. Sean sighed and looked up at the ceiling as he tried to think of something, wrapping both arms around Ivy, squeezing her softly. "Well.." He trailed. "Along with my drug dealing criminal record, when I was a lot younger I used to steal." He chuckled, knowing it really wasn't the best thing. "Pick pocketing, stealing from stores, all small stuff." He shrugged. "I don't think my life has ever been without some sort of illegal shit going on."

Though Ivy had a feeling that Sean was, once again, lying about his injuries… she was beyond the point of fighting him about it. The worry for his well being was still prominent in her mind, but she chose to simply believe his words this time. Nodding her head in response as the tiniest of smiles lit up her likely reddened lips, Ivy fought the urge to close her eyes at the feeling of Sean’s hands moving along her sides. Letting out a tiny laugh as he gave her waist a squeeze, she watched with wide eyes as he began to move over. Lifting her hand to try and help him, Sean had already scooted over, leaving an Ivy-sized space in the bed next to him. After looking up and seeing the smile on his face, Ivy felt her own grin grow larger in size. It was an odd turn of events; Ivy certainly knew that to be true. But she wasn’t about to walk away from Sean, not when he was so badly injured, not when they had just kissed… and not when she really didn’t want to, either.
After hesitating for just another short moment, Ivy scooted up and turned over onto her back beside Sean. She rolled onto her side and looked up at him, her small smile still in place. Raising her arm to lay it over his bare torso, Ivy used this to pull herself up just enough to reach Sean’s lips. She placed her palm on the side of his face and kissed him for another long moment, her tongue slipping past his lips to briefly explore his mouth. After she pulled away and spotted the sly look that was resting upon his face, Ivy started laughing, her voice quiet because she felt like talking too loudly right now would ruin the moment. “No point, huh?” She chuckled, her face still close enough that she could give him a quick peck on the lips before leaning her head onto his shoulder. Since this was the good side of his body, Ivy wasn’t too hesitant in placing her body on his. But that didn’t keep her far hand from sliding over the planes of Sean’s chest, her fingers tracing the curves in his muscles and the outlines of his shoulder, too. She was content with simply laying here, her body heat matched with that of Sean’s. She’d been alone for a long time, as she assumed Sean had, too. And this was a nice change. “Glad to know this is convenient for you, Sean.” Ivy laughed again, tilting her head back so she could grin up at him and gauge his expression.
With all the kisses and smiles he was receiving from Ivy, he couldn't help but be pleased with himself. It wasn't usually how he did things but it was something different and something a bit more relaxed. With his arm around her shoulders, he brought her closer into his side and kissed the top of her head. "It's definitely convenient." He said with a laugh, running his hand up and down her arm, feeling her warmth on his chest. It felt good, better than he ever expected and as Ivy traced her fingers on his side, he felt even more safe and at home.
As they laid there, Sean gave Ivy more kisses. Some passionate, some slow and some really average. The more he kissed her the more in a trance he was. The sun had gone completely down and all he could see was Ivy's eyes shine the moonlight up at him. He smiled down, running his fingers through her soft hair. "Tell me something I don't know about you." He said, looking Ivy in the eyes. If Sean wasn't going to do anything else, he wanted to know a little more about the girl laying next to him. Sure, he knew her sob story but he wanted to know details, small things from her past. The world knew those were the moments that mattered.

Despite not having been sure about what Sean had wanted, as soon as his hand had shifted beneath her chin, Ivy knew. Maybe Sean and Ivy weren’t destined to be together forever, or at all, really… but they were so similar, so seemingly alone, and that was something that the two could share. It was almost natural for them to grow together, first as friends, and now with some kind of heated passion striking up between the two. Ivy didn’t know where it was going or what would come of this first kiss, but she was so tired of looking into the future and praying for a good outcome— so she had decided to simply stop. She wasn’t going to fight what she wanted anymore, and in those moments all that Ivy wanted was Sean.
Though Ivy had this feeling in her chest that told her this probably wasn’t the smartest decision she would make tonight, she did not fight back when Sean kissed her. Instead, Ivy gave in, and leaned in as close as she could without the worry of hurting the injured man. Ivy’s lips pressed against Sean’s in a way that was almost desperate, and as he pulled away, she released a breath she hadn’t even realized she’d been holding. With her forehead rested against his, Ivy inhaled sharply, and closed her eyes for a moment to calm her rapidly beating heart. The intensity of the situation hadn’t seemed to dissipate after their first kiss, and so after pulling her hand free of Sean’s, she let it trail along his arm until she found his shoulder. Pressing her palm to the spot where his shoulder met his neck, Ivy leaned forward and placed her lips upon Sean’s once again. She didn’t want to think anymore; instead, she wanted to kiss Sean, and welcome the distraction that his lips presented. Ivy wasn’t sure how far things would go, but she wasn’t about to stop anything. Just so long as Sean was okay.
Her spot on the side of the bed made for a sort of awkward kissing position, so after another short moment of having there lips pressed together, Ivy pulled back. She opened her eyes and gave Sean a small smile, her thumb gently caressing over his neck. After clearing her throat, Ivy decided to speak. “Are you okay?” She asked, her eyes falling to the side of Sean’s waist where she knew the worse of his injuries were. Ivy wasn’t about to risk hurting Sean, even if what she really wanted was to keep going.
Sean's heart fluttered as Ivy went in for another kiss, he couldn't believe he actually kissed her and that she was more than ready to follow his lead. With her lips grazing against his and his tongue teasing her bottom lip, it was like they were in perfect sync. It was beautiful. It was the only way to describe it, it was not just subtle, it was meaningful. With her fingers trailing up his arm, goosebumps formed on his pale skin and a short shiver ran up his spine. As her lips pulled away from his, he already missed the soft feeling.
Sean smiled and nodded his head. "Yeah, the pain's not too bad." He said, meaning it. He trailed both of his hands down her sides and held them at her waist. He looked down her slim body then back up to her eyes. There was no way he was in any shape to do anything more with Ivy but he wasn't going to let her go. With a tight squeeze of Ivy's waist, Sean bit his lip and decided to scoot over to the other side of the bed, giving enough room for Ivy to slip into his bed.
He smiled up at her and patted the space next to him, ready to bring her into his embrace, his hands yearning for touch. The sun was setting and rays of light shone through the blinds, sprawling across his bed sheets. Even with the sun, the night was going to be cold. So the more company the better. "No point in you going home now." He said with a sly look on his face.

As soon as Ivy began to pull back to see the expression on Sean’s face, worried that she had possibly pushed too far, she felt his hand move to the side of his face. Taking in a shallow, broken breath, Ivy’s eyes sought out Sean’s— and as soon as their gazes locked, Ivy felt her stomach drop to her knees. She swallowed out of nervous habit, and could feel the familiar heat spreading over her cheeks. She wasn’t uncomfortable— not by a long shot— but Ivy was surprised. Sean had been friendly to Ivy, but she had assumed that was where it ended. And at this point, it still could simply end at friendship for Sean. But with the way his thumb was moving over her cheek and the way his eyes were locked with hers… Ivy wasn’t certain. And that uncertainty was what really scared her.
But at the same time, Ivy didn’t want to be the one who made the first move. She didn’t want to be the one who leaned forward and pressed her lips to Sean’s, because she didn’t want to be the one responsible for a look of disgust moving across his face if that wasn’t what he had wanted in those moments— Ivy was too scared of losing him to be that brave. And so, she simply squeezed his hand, and allowed her free one to move along his side and rest gently on his bare waist. She was hovering above him, just mere inches from his face, and Ivy found that she was holding her breath. She wanted Sean to kiss her. “Sean…” Ivy whispered, unsure of what she should say to him. Really, there weren’t any suitable words for this situation; and Ivy knew that. The only suitable thing for her to do was either pull away, or man up and kiss him. But she didn’t want to be the one— she wanted Sean to kiss her, if that was what he really wanted, too. And so, Ivy simply kept her eyes on his, and remained silent. The hand of hers that was on his hip had begun to draw absent circles along his side, though she hadn’t taken the time to notice it yet.
Sean knew time was ticking, he was running out of time and his head couldn't take it. He didn't know how to feel, he was confused. He knew that if he was to even attempt to make a move on Ivy, it wouldn't mean as much as he or she wanted it to be. That was Sean's downfall. He was too much of a lover, someone who experienced it all and never stuck to one thing. Ivy would just be another name on the list and he wasn't sure if he wanted to throw that all away. She was a lovely girl and just like him, she'd been through too much. In that moment, with Ivy staring down at him, with her hand by his side, he couldn't help but feel attached.
It was either fight or flight and knowing Sean, fight always had the upper hand. As she whispered his name he took it as a sign to take a risk. Who gave a fuck? In the end Sean just needed pleasure, some release. And here was a beautiful girl in front of him, just waiting for something to happen. With his thumb on her chin and his index finger under it, he slowly pulled her face down to his. He hesitated, thinking of everything that could go wrong but then pushed the thought aside. If he was ever to have a chance at kissing Ivy, this was the time to do it. It felt like slow motion, like in movies. His head tilted towards her and his dry lips crashed against hers. They were softer than he imagined and her breath smelt like mint. He could feel his chest rise and fall and his hand squeeze tighter in Ivy's grasp. His head was a spin and it all felt so real.
Their lips parted and Sean took in a deep breath, leaning his forehead against hers. Who knew what she thought, did she like it? was she repulsed? Sean never really cared but with Ivy he did. He knew he didn't have special feelings for her, but there was definitely still something there.

In those few moments of silence with their bodies placed so close together, Ivy couldn’t help but notice the intimacy of what they had just been doing. It wasn’t like they were having sex or making out or doing drugs together, no… this seemed so much different to Ivy. Not only had Sean trusted Ivy enough to let her clean him up, but she had really trusted herself, too— and in any other situation, with just about any other person, Ivy would have been so nervous or afraid of doing something wrong, she probably would have gone running. But with Sean, it was different. She felt that as long as he wasn’t okay… she really wasn’t, either. And so she had done her best to make him more comfortable, to ensure that he would make a full recovery, because she really did care about him.
At Sean’s words, Ivy rolled her eyes, but immediately stood to give the ‘old man’ a hand. She winced as he pulled himself off the couch with a groan, and Ivy’s eyes focused on nothing but Sean’s face as she wrapped her arm delicately around his waist. Ivy’s free hand went up to Sean’s where it rested around her shoulder, and she intertwined their fingers so she could pull him closer and help him more than he was originally going to let her. The brunette was sure she was careful enough to place her hand on his hip so that she wouldn’t touch the area where he’d been he most injured, and it was then that Ivy truly realized something that was probably important: Sean was shirtless. And as his arm swung over her shoulders, the skin at her neck prickled for reasons that, in that moment, were unknown to Ivy. She followed his lead down the hallway, being sure to take as much as his weight as he would allow. As Sean kicked open the door, Ivy felt her eyes sweep from side to side, taking in the bedroom simply because she was curious. While the rest of the apartment didn’t really say much about Sean, Ivy felt like this was much more telling; a person’s bedroom was always where the reflection of self would live.
With her eyes focused on the bed, Ivy guided Sean towards it and helped the boy lay down on top of his covers. With her body now free, Ivy retrieved a blanket from the end of the bed and unfolded it, spreading it across Sean’s newly prone figure. After a moment, Ivy realized how outrageously motherly this probably looked to Sean, and that’s really not what she wanted him to think. “Sorry,” She mumbled, her cheeks blushing a bright colour of crimson as she felt her embarrassment rise. Ivy moved towards Sean and took a seat on the edge of the bed, her eyes falling to his out of habit. She gave him a small smile and then, just as it had in the living room, Ivy’s hand moved towards his face for whatever reason. She brushed the hair away from his eyes and ran her hand his cheek, before she took a deep breath and leaned forward. With a quiet chuckle to try and lighten the words to follow, Ivy allowed her smile to widen just the tiniest of bits. “I’m just glad you’re not dead.” Ivy met Sean’s gaze once more before closing her eyes completely, and she placed her lips against the boys overheated forehead.
Once Sean fell back onto his bed he let out a long sigh and shut his eyes, his bed was a lot more comfortable than what the couch provided. He placed one hand on his stomach and the other over the top of his head. Before Sean had the chance to say anything, he felt a blanket fall over his body. He opened his eyes and looked up at Ivy, her cheeks blushing red. He just shook his head and smiled. She really had to be worried about him, or at least cared a lot. It wasn't just a drive by and Sean knew that. It was just hard to take it all in at once.
Sean watched as her figure sat softly on the edge of his bed, her face turned towards him. He wondered why she hadn't left, or felt awkward enough to leave. He appreciated she hadn't left him, if it was his choice she could stay for as long as she wanted. Once more, Sean froze under her touch but this time, he felt his body relax and he smiled softly whilst looking up at her. As she leant forward his hand searched for hers, softly wrapping his hand around hers. Her soft lips grazed his forehead and he was sure his heart skipped a beat. It was stupid, Sean was used to being rough, going as fast as humanly possible but this was such a slow and subtle touch to things. He wasn't sure how to feel about it.
Before she could back away, Sean reached out his free hand and cradled the side of Ivy's face. Her skin was soft and cool, unlike his warm hands. He smiled sweetly for what seemed the first time ever. "Me too." He whispered, grazing his thumb over her cheek bone, tracing it back and forth. He had no idea what he was doing, afraid Ivy would be started or scared, but he kept his hand in hers and let his thumb trail down the side of her jaw.

After having returned with the peas, Ivy kept her gaze locked directly on Sean’s— and nowhere else. She was relieved to see that he was looking somewhat better, but she couldn’t seem to get the anger out of her system. Nobody deserved to be beaten and abused like this, especially not someone as incredible and sweet as Sean. The people in Kings City were so backwards, it was beginning to drive Ivy crazier and crazier with each day. But as Sean spoke, she managed to find some solace, a little moment of peace in the center of all the insanity. She gave a small, sheepish smile at his words, and chuckled when he mentioned the bit about waiting rooms. Ivy herself had never been a fan of strange doctors with grey hair and wrinkled hands touching at her abdomen when she was injured, so she could at least understand where Sean was coming from with that. And as Sean’s own hand reached forward to take a hold of Ivy’s, she felt the heat return to her cheeks and she stared at Sean for a moment before reacting. Giving his hand a gentle squeeze as he continued to speak, Ivy nodded once. “You give me too much credit, Sean. I think you’d of survived perfectly fine on your own… but damn, I’m glad you didn’t have to. Thank you for letting me help you.” And as Sean stared into Ivy’s eyes, she stared back, fascinated for a moment by the mixture of blues and greens she finally realized were gazing back at her.
After another long beat passed, Ivy’s gaze was drawn to their joined hands. Upon glancing down, she noticed the bruising and cuts that littered the boys knuckles, and sighed softly. Reluctantly tugging her hand free from Sean’s, Ivy leaned back a bit to grab a hold of the peroxide once more. She took Sean’s hands into her own and dabbed delicately at the knuckles, knowing that the cuts positions on the bones wouldn’t leave for a pleasant feeling as the acidic cleaning solution invaded his bloodstream. After finishing both hands, Ivy replaced the lid on the bottle and pushed it further back across the coffee table, and turned her attention once more to Sean. Her eyes shot across his face for a moment, and she reached up to gently trail her cool fingers over the bruising that surrounded his eye. Ivy sighed once more, and then withdrew her hand from Sean’s face, wondering what he was thinking in those moments. But in an attempt to push those thoughts aside, Ivy decided to speak. “You should rest— or at least try and lay down. You’re never going to get any better if you don’t. Shall I help you into your bedroom?” Ivy asked, glancing around the living room for the first time since she had set foot in the apartment.
"You're welcome, I suppose." He said raising an eyebrow, knowing inside that Ivy was being too kind to him. He wasn't anybody special to worry about, he was some idiot who got into the drug dealing business cause he wasn't bothered to get a real job. He was someone who fooled around and caused trouble wherever he went, hitting up bars every second night and getting drunk when he could. He was pretty much a mirror reflection of what this town was made of, but in that moment, with Ivy's hands in his, he couldn't help but see the brighter side to things. Maybe getting beat up and having a girl like Ivy help him out wasn't such a bad thing. He sighed and shook his head as Ivy grabbed the bottle once more and fixed up his hands. If Ivy had to leave her current job, she could easily pick one up down at the hospital as a nurse.
Sean froze like a statue as Ivy leant forward and traced her cool fingers over his face. If it was some other girl, he would've already tried something by now, used a few pick up lines and trashy compliments. But nothing came out as he stared at her face. Once the ice was broken, Sean looked down at the floor. "I don't think I can sleep at this point but maybe laying down wouldn't be too bad." He paused and looked back at Ivy. "Can you give an old man a hand?" He asked with a laugh, knowing the irony of the comment. He waited for Ivy's assistance, swinging an arm over her shoulders and got up with a loud groan. "Shit." He said, making his way down the hallway slowly, walking down till the last door at the end of the hallway. He pushed the door open with his foot and walked into the bedroom. Considering the state of the rest of his apartment, his bedroom was oldly clean, the bed made and the blinds only open a jar. "Welcome to paradise." He said jokingly.
