It doesn't speak in words you understand. You can't quite put your finger on the tone of it either - even though cries of malice and hatred fill your ears, laced with scorn, at the same time you can almost discern sobbing and crushing sorrow in the voice. Without having words, it tries to pry into your soul, searching for something to relate to.
As you turn around, trying to find the source of the sound, it becomes clearer.
"What... what have I... done to them?"
A garment resembling a straitjacket lies on the ground, paired with a rusty-looking sledgehammer. They seem quite easy to put on and wield - it's as if they were made for you.
You've heard of such things. Some people around the City have discovered a way to create armor and weapons of strength never before seen, at least not since the times of The Red Mist. The equipment seemingly appears on them out of thin air. To think of it - if you use these in addition to your own newly manifested "E.G.O", you could become stronger.
You could protect them. Protect him. You could afford to be brave.
The voice calls out to you.
OOC: The E.G.O will begin Corroding your character after some time passes. That is, if you put it on soon. If you decide not to, it just vanishes. It can't keep its form together for much longer without a host.
Philip kneels down in front of the two items which have seemed to have "spawned in" from nowhere. He thinks for a while, organizing his thoughts. This was a rare case, so of course he had to think about it. This gear looked.. quite peculiar, to say the least. Even if the gear didn't share the same look, it did feel very similar to what The Red Mist used as hers.
..Maybe he really could use these to protect the people he loved, for once. To finally succeed in his goals. He hadn't done so before... but then again, did he genuinely need these? He could protect them himself, without the 'gear', he just needed to build up the courage to. Of course, it'd probably be nice to use with his E.G.O... but did he really deserve to gain more, after already losing so much?
Maybe, just maybe.. it'd be better to let these items sit there until he came to a decision. Or at least keep them on his person... did Philip even have a bag? It would be awkward to carry these around— but that wasn't the point at the moment. All he knew is that he most likely should wait until deciding.
