âYes,â he replied, noting the otherâs surprise with a smirk on his face. He licked his lips and pointed over to where Colette sat, along with the otherâs girlfriend. âSheâs the blonde,â he told him, turning his gaze back to him to watch his reaction. Nodding his head, he stood up straighter and held up a finger for the bartender, who came over to him. He ordered both himself and Quentin their drinks, and turned around to lean against the bar with his arms crossed over his chest. âTell me,â he said, looking over at Quentin, his eyes roaming over him with mild hunger. âAnd I donât mean to be so forward, but I donât like to beat around the bush,â he paused for a moment, shifting slightly. âAre you and your girlfriend exclusive?âÂ
Quentin noticed the blonde sitting with his girlfriend. He was surprised to see them chatting, starting to wonder what was going on. âSheâs prettyâ he said, his voice cautious. The other woman was very attractive if he was honest, but he figured it was better to avoid mentioning that. Not a lot of guys liked having strangers tell them how attractive their girlfriend was. He took a sip of his drink as the other man spoke. Whatever heâd been expecting, that wasnât it. âWhy do you ask?â he said, surprise in his voice. There was an edge there, wondering if this guy was looking to hook up with Kassandra. But if so, why was he here chatting him up while his girlfriend was across the room?
