Hey here’s a preview of the piece I drew for @seaunseenzine 🌊🦎
Grab a copy for $1 and support the Australian Marine Conservation Society: https://seaunseenzine.itch.io/sea-unseen-2026
Here's my art for the 2026 edition of the @seaunseenzine! 💙🦑 I chose to illustrate a meeting between a flamboyant cuttlefish (Ascarosepion pfefferi) and a striped pyjama squid (Sepioloidea lineolata), as both species are found in the Indo-Pacific waters near Australia. I was also inspired by photos I saw of these lil guys sitting atop of coins, which really shows off how small they are~ (Adults of both species can get to about 3 inches long, but the babies are much much smaller!) I'm really glad I finally got to draw these lil bebes! If you want to check out more gorgeous ocean art and support a good cause, the zine is still available for purchase here! It's only $1 minimum and all proceeds will go to Australian Marine Conservation Society, which helps with protecting marine habitats around Australia.
Thank you @circlejourneyart for hosting again, and thank you for having me! ^^
Orca Party (cut felt, pencil, and oil pastel) my finished piece for The Sea Unseen 2026 Magazine, featuring 81 works of art, now available for download 🐟︎ @seaunseenzine
Co-restoration efforts such as Operation Posidonia and Project Restore are being made in NSW, Australia to support two endangered species, White's Seahorse (Hippocampus whitei) and Posidonia australis.
Traditional block-and-chain swing moorings scar the slow to recover posidonia meadows that H. whitei rely on. New environmentally friendly moorings keep the chain from disturbing the meadows which are slowly being replanted by hand with seedlings that have been washed ashore and collected by citizen scientists.
With the loss of their natural habitat, H. whitei have been found to inhabit artificial structures such as swimming nets. To take advantage of this, Seahorse Hotels have been developed and deployed to safely release captive-bred seahorses. These biodegradable structures are taken over by soft corals, sponges, and seaweeds, providing a safe place for the seahorses to live while their natural habitat recovers.
You can find this piece and many more beautiful artworks of marine life in @seaunseenzine, a charity zine supporting the Australian Marine Conservation Society.

My piece for the @seaunseenzine , a zine that explore the marine ecossystem! This zine, for me, as a future biologist, is everything, so many amazing arts of amazing creatures that we don't see often!
My piece is a Pelagia Noctiluca, a pink jellyfish with spots that I love, specially that I've been studying jellyfish this semester hehe.
You can buy the zine here and all of the procedings will go to the Australian Marine Conservation Society, a registered, top-rated charity protecting the Great Barrier Reef and other marine habitats across the Australian continent. We're proud to say that this year we participated in the @seaunseenzine project, with two illustrations: one dedicated to Artemia salina (the famous "sea monkeys!") created by Mimma and, (of course, we couldn't leave it out), one dedicated to the longest bony fish, the majestic oarfish (Regalecus glesne).
These are just small previews, but stay tuned to find out when the zine will finally be available! And we assure you that the drawings by our other fellow artists who worked on this thing are absolutely AMAZING.
