thinking bout tails md horns again so...

tails are mostly correspondent to heritage due to it being genetic but they are influenced by the element if belonging to a bender.

In the Earth Kingdom, citizens (lin for example) have horns similar to goats but with tails closer to fictional earth dragons looking like morning stars. Their horns and the balls of their tails are rocky with a dust like shell on them.

For the Fire nation (Asami as example) its a 50/50 for the horns for now but i might need to play around with deers and antelope tbh just cause i wanna. but for now dragon based. with lion like tails (often on fire if belonging to a bender). Also when belonging to a bender the horns can act like candles, often being amongst the first part of the body besides fingers to heat up whilst under duress.

Within the water tribes (Korra for example), people have the crest and tail of seahorses. They tend to be softer than the other nations to account for movement in the water and the lesser rigidity allows for them to be manoeuvred in the cold and covered up.

Originally amongst the air nomads (Jinora for example) I was gonna design new horns that were pointed back to account for aerodynmaucs and i still might be then i remembered the sky bison.... i also didnt really have a tail for them so it helped.

However those with mixed heritages at birth (Mako and Bolin for example) tend to take the shape of the element they bend with influences from the other element in their lineage. The influence isnt just tied to form but can also be elemental. Makos horns still have the dust coating and Bolins horns have an ever present subtle glow like a firebenders would. Bolins horns dont fully light lile a candle but instead producing pops and sparks under stress whikst also heating up. Underneath the fire on Makos tail is a ball more similar to an earthbender mace.

Also when it comes to subelements, often times the elemental stuff is influenced by the use of subelements over time. For example, Bolins mace shifts to be more lavalike in book 3 and Makos horns crackle with electricity more than they light.

I am also thinking of potentially changing up the attributes based on regions give them all a bit more unique designs or something
