Even without having to look up, Sienna knew exactly who had come into the room. The voice seemed all too famliar and she knew that neither Anastasia or Spencer would have greeted her in such an awkward way. Despite that, though, she still looked up just to make sure she was right. The corners of her mouth turned up into the faintest smile before replying. “Hi there.” She spoke softly, her eyes following him as he walked toward the bed before falling back down into the words written in her book. It was obvious that the level of tension rose when he walked in. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t shake the awkward feeling that followed him when he walked into a room. The situation could have been avoided if she hadn’t decided to make such a rash decision that last day of high school. Out of the corner of her eyes, she could see him occasionally glance over at her. “Do I have something on my face.. or something?”

Embarrassed that Sienna had noticed his constant glancing, Sebastian decided to put his phone down. "Um, no. There's just a fly in the room, I thought maybe you would've noticed too?" he lied, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "But the common housefly is hardly a threat, so don't worry about it." Sebastian continued, before dropping his hands into his lap. "Hey I was wondering, can we talk?" he asked, his voice taking a hopeful tone. His last attempt at confronting her about the kiss she had planted on him on graduation hadn't gone smoothly, as Sienna had failed to recall the event that had haunted Sebastian for weeks. But there was no doubt that it was something they needed to talk about soon.

I'm sure reading a cookbook would be no problem for me, seeing as my literacy skills are withing the top 0.02% in the country. Well, at least there are plenty of people that share this unfortunate setback with me.

Obviously, that scratch looks like it could leave a permanent scar. You're probably just masking the immense pain too, I could never truly understand the agony. Unfortunately I've only got about 4 dollars in change on me, so you'll have to choose between the smoothie or the bandaids.

Alone Together → Sienna + Sebastian

Somehow Sienna had managed to have been scheduled for pretty much everyday after she got hired for new job. Clearly even though the group of teens was residing in the smallest town any of them have probably visited, the locals seem to visit all the stores often but all the stores seemed to be quite understaffed. Which probably explains her extensive hours, even as a newbie. The whole job situation wasn’t really a big deal though, it got Sienna out if the house and around the town for a little and she met some people who actually lived around the area, too. It was better then the fact that she pretty much just stayed in the house most of the time. Not to mention it got her out of the occasional awkward encounters with Seb and her in their shared bedroom. The fact that they ended up in a room together still confused her so much. She’s clearly going to talk to whoever was the one who decided to set the rooms up. After a short shift at Peets, she was still training, she came home and immediately went to her room change out of her work clothes and into some comfortable clothes for the rest of the night. After changing into new clothes, she laid down on the bed and picked up the book she had started reading recently and opened up to the page she had last left on and began reading.

Sebastian paced outside his shared room, thoughts flying through his head at a rapid rate. He had tried to avoid talking to Sienna about the incident that had occurred at graduation for the past few days, but with them sharing a room, there was no way they could avoid talking about the topic for much longer. Yet, he still felt a certain feeling of dread upon the thought of the confrontation to come, which he was almost sure he would mess up. He almost convinced himself to go back to work - maybe stall for time, find someone else that he could enter with to ensure he and Sienna were never left alone together. But he was awkward, not a not socially impaired. Not noticing that he was holding his breath until he let out a huge gust of air, he entered the room. And just his luck - Sienna was the only one present, with her head down and reading a book. "Uh, hi," he muttered, taking a seat on his own bed. He opened his mouth to speak once more, before clamping his lips shut when he realized he'd really rather stay quiet. He pulled out his phone, and taking quick glances at Sienna, started to scroll through his applications.

Yes. And a scratch on my hand, too. I expect band-aids and a smoothie to soothe all the pain.

There's a drug store around the corner. Unless you need me to get them for you? In that case sure, I need a new shower cap anyways. If you haven't heard already, I'm a horrid cook, and a smoothie is already pushing the boundaries. How does a granola bar sound?

I knew. Do you not remember that one time you tried to make cupcakes for my birthday and then the fire department had to come to your house?

I thought we agreed to keep that a secret? Besides, I investigated the supplies I had used, and drew the conclusion that someone had tampered with the oven. It was definitely not my fault.

So are you saying you’re the best at everything else? That’s very prideful of you. Not me because I never tasted your cooking, but I bet if you gave it to me when I was out of it, I’d tell you it was good. So y’know, you can keep that in mind if you ever need an ego boast or something.

Not the best, but I usually take to new things very quickly. I'll keep that in mind, thanks. At the moment I'm just chopping up vegetables and stirring pots, so if you ever want to gnaw on some carrots or celery, let me know.

It must’ve been really atrocious then. I fear for the safety of your employer’s establishment. I would never have guessed that the one thing I needed in order to cease your constant stream of aptitudes was a kitchen. Outstanding. If it wasn’t for those oven mitts, you might not have a job as a chef right now. You have your abundance of histamine to thank. After extensive research, I’ve come to the conclusion that intellectuals like you and I simply aren’t compatible with cooking. With our many talents I suppose we had to find a downfall one day.

The first I did when I got the job was read the Health and Safety workbook, and then did a quick read of the Workplace Safety Rules and Regulations as well. I am one hundred percent prepared on that front. Ah well, unfortunately for me I'm still without any weaknesses to hold over your head. Extensive research? Did that happen to include some experimentation? I expect that with practice I'll get better, but I'm a little reluctant to go back to work. I swear, I saw half the kitchen staff laughing at me behind my back.

Firstly, you sound annoyingly like Nevaeh. And secondly, no, I did not poke the bunny. I am not five years old, thank you very much. Why are you even taking the bunny’s side, are you suddenly friends with all the bunnies now or something?

Slight possibility, but it’s minuscule. If I try experimenting to find out, you’ll know from the smoke. Until that day comes, I shall be blissfully unaware of the chance that I can’t cook anything but macaroni and cheese. The playing field in our abilities are no longer level, all thanks to your failed culinary efforts. Surely they’re giving you some kind of apprentice chef training? I mean, they can’t bring you into it blindly. Let’s hope that you don’t burn the place down.

Ah, well at least you can make a meal. I won't tell you what happened the first hour I was at work, because you'd probably stop talking to me. And to think, I've been trying so hard all these years to ensure I didn't slip below your level. Thankfully there's no field on college applications on culinary prowess, so I think I'll be fine. Well I'm just an assistant, so it won't be anything complex or anything. I guess they assumed that my exemplary mark in Home Ec in freshman year is enough proof that I can handle it, although in reality the allergic reaction I had to the oven mitts we used on the first day of class was enough to sideline me for the entire year. I mean, I have more than enough cooking knowledge, there might be a small problem with execution.
