Hmmmm yes, thank you for answering my badly written Secondo prompt haha As such who is his favorite sibling? Does he openly declare it or is his affection kept secret from the Ministry at large?
Secondo is a bit of a tough person to read, but not on purpose. He’s just naturally not super expressive, and prefers to be quiet. But he does have a favorite brother, and feels absolutely awful for bullying him for all those years as a kid. Secondo adores Terzo.
Loves to watch him perform, and how he’s always able to strike up a conversation with anyone, always seems to know what someone needs to hear… He really admires it. Secondo doesn’t think of himself of having a way with words, but really, he says so few that it would be very hard to know. He mainly just watches Terzo from afar in the public eye of the ministry, but in private, they’re together very frequently.
Terzo is always seeking new music to listen to, so he’ll find fun CDs and he and Secondo will listen together. He also put in a lot of effort to dial in how Secondo handles conversations the best. He makes very sure not to interrupt, and always apologizes if he does. Doesn’t press eye contact, either. And while he loves flowery language, he drops it for his brother. Hard to understand. Easy to misinterpret.
If you were to steal Secondo’s sketchbooks (which I don’t recommend doing, he will kill you. Or at least look at you with such heartfelt disappointment that you WISH he had just killed you.) you’d see a lot of pages dedicated to Terzo. Redraws of promotional photos, photos he posted on his personal socials, polaroids from their childhood… Also a lot of studies on him, trying to accurately capture how he carries himself, his smile, the way he parts his hair, and his overly expressive eyes.
If he’s ever trying a new technique, he’ll always use Terzo as his muse, because he’s so familiar with doodling him. I have a bit of AU ramble that’s relevant, but I’ll answer for his favorite Sibling of Sin and put the AU under a cut.
Like his least favorite Siblings, there isn’t one target. It’s more a *type* that he’s fond of. He gravitates towards the quieter siblings, and has a little study group that he meets with. They claim to be studying, anyway, but they mostly draw, swapping stories occasionally, just sharing moments of quiet companionship. That’s his favorite quality, being able to just sit in silence but feel connected and WITH someone without forced interaction or manufactured closeness.
Ok, AU ramble time: Rather than murder, in my AU, Terzo is hit by a car and that fucks up his reign as Papa. His neck is broken severely, and it nearly leaves him dead. When he gets home from the hospital, he needs a lot of care, and while Omega does a lot, Secondo is definitely there to fill in the gaps. He’s particularly fond of helping Terzo bathe, because he can use as many products as his heart desires without making Secondo sneeze, as I HC Sec with no sense of smell whatsoever. It also feels nice to give Omega that break, because, while he adores Terzo, suddenly becoming your spouse’s full time caregiver is a LOT. Secondo also really enjoys letting Terzo snuggle him, when he’s feeling up to receiving touch. Almost losing him really shook Secondo, and feeling the warmth of his skin, his soft hair, how he always INSISTS on smooshing his face into the chest of whoever he’s sleeping with… It’s grounding, reassuring. Terzo is still there, he’s alright, he’s healing. He’s even grown to love his little brother’s obnoxious snoring, because if he’s snoring, he’s breathing.
And, bonus, Secondo and Omega were by Terzo’s side practically around the clock in the hospital. Secondo didn’t say much, per the usual, but was always drawing. You could see the shift of how he was feeling when Terzo started to wake and truly get better, because it went from heavily shadowed greyscale drawings, often smudged by tears, to limited palette watercolors, and eventually back to the colorful drawings he’d done before in the days leading up to Terzo coming home.
Secondo also shaved his head for sensory reasons, and just doesn’t like having blond hair. But a very sleepy, drugged Terzo asked if he’d dye his hair, so he grew it out almost to his chin so he could split dye it for Terzo, who barely remembered the conversation when he was properly awake. He just woke up and SECONDO had HAIR and it was GREEN AND PURPLE. ALONG WITH HIS EYEBROWS. AND HIS MUSTACHE.
First of all, wow! I absolutely love the work that's being done and all the effort that's been put into it (and you can see it page by page!)
Saying I have a favorite part/moment/chapter, or even a single comic panel is impossible! Everything has its merit and charm... Although Perpy not being able to open the door made me laugh harder than expected (poor little Perpy).
Furthermore, the Italian words are used well, which makes me happy! Even the translations So, kudos!
I hope to read the new chapter soon, the wait is killing me but I know I can't be too capricious, I don't want to put pressure on anyone.

It's hard for me to pick out my favorites as well! ...that and because as soon as I'm done looking at a page and looking over everything it kinda blurs a bit for me... 😵💫 That's why before I upload every chapter I have a set of NEW eyes look over everything and make sure I don't need to correct or clean up anything! Will Perpy V ever win his war against doors? Maybe that will be the grand finale of the whole series!? Maybe that's what this story is really building up into!!? For Perpetua to FINALLY open a door!!? ...We'll have to see!! Stay tuned...
