No Strings Attached Concept Art and Behind the Scenes
I have a lot of this stuff and have been saving thumbnails since some on my friends said people might be interested in seeing the process. I can keep saving thumbnails and test/concept sheets and post them in more big batches later if anyone’s interested to see more later down the line. Just let me know!

First up, concept art for Spencer and Antony’s rooms:
The only addendum I have here is that I drew a radiator but forgot what it is called. But it is a radiator in Spencer’s room, not an A/C unit.
A lot of the details in Spencer’s room were majorly simplified since he’s not focusing on the little details throughout any of the scenes in his room. But we’ll see fully detailed depictions with Antony in this room later, since he’ll be mulling over the little details… very sadly.
Antony’s room has not yet been seen in the comic!
I wanted a fuzzy, fast, and unclear style for Spencer’s manic lead up to his deal. In this scene, he ultimately chooses to abandon his life and identity for his unclear, but hypothetically perfect “freedom.” Freedom that he does attain, but not in the way he envisioned. A puppet doesn’t have any responsibilities. Doesn’t have any needs, any maintenance. Doesn’t have a master to serve, not when it’s separated from the hand that directs it. Spencer just hasn’t had the time to realize this yet…

Very messy but honestly could be way messier. I feel like this gives some insight not only into the process of making these pages, but also some of the intention behind decisions! As long as it’s readable, anyway… thumbnails only really need to be understandable to the artist lmaoo so kudos to you if you can decipher these.
