For some of the death eater biographies, it says "death eater," but it also says that they support equality. can you explain a little bit more about that? i know we're not supposed to know who's a death eater or not, but then what does that mean when it says death eater on their biography? sorry for the roundabout question...

Everybody that's listed as a Death Eater is one, but their bios are supposed to shed some light on appearances. For instance, Evan Rosier? Definitely a Death Eater. However, given the Ministry's recent crackdown, it's not like he can go about murdering muggle-borns in the street, so the Rosier family takes great pains to maintain apperances.

Hope this clears some stuff up, anon!

This is RP is lovely, there’s a tragic lack of first war era roleplays that takes place out of Hogwarts and your plot is so original and engaging that I immediately decided to apply. But I'm having a bit of a problem with deciding which character to apply for. Out of Alastor Moody, Frank Longbottom and Andromeda Tonks, which one would you prefer to see an app for?

I want to pretend to be impartial but I can say with absolute certainty that I specifically want a Moody. We don’t currently have an Alice so Frank’s plot would be a little lacking, but we do have Narcissa and Bella, so Andy would also be quite welcome!

I really don't! I've been trying to fix it for a while, but I literally can't find a single instance in the layout coding that would affect it, so I'm just making a new layout. :P It'll be fixed in a couple days.

NAME: Karli AGE: 23 TIME ZONE: GMT-5 | CST AVAILABILITY: 7/8 -I currently am a full time preschool teacher, but I’m on every night after work and regularly on the weekends. Some days are better than others for posting, but I’m constantly checking in through mobile or my computer on the days that I cannot post. Most days, I’m able to do multiple replies at once. I will be starting grad school at the end of August, but I’m guessing my activity will be around the same.

PREVIOUS ROLEPLAYING EXPERIENCE: I have been roleplaying Harry Potter for about 11 years now. I started at the age of twelve (my first-ever character was James Potter and I still play him to this day) and have been rping on and off ever since. My experience with roleplay have improved with practice and I’m a literate, mature rper now. If you’d like to check out my other current rp blog, you can see it here. (I play Remus Lupin). Otherwise, here and here are a few others that are currently not active because the rp died out, though it’ll give you a feel for my writing style.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

NAME: Peter Pettigrew

OCCUPATION: 

During the war, Peter had been a Wizarding mortician’s assistant. He worked in the lower levels of Ministry (the dark dank level without any windows) with one other much older man. Most often he was sent out to collect the bodies of the dead – for which there were many during that time – but he was getting the hang of embalming and preservation charms around the time he ran away. Now, after being found, put on trial, and subsequently released, Peter has gotten his old job back. However, the man he had worked for before was fired for his age by the new Minister of Magic and Peter works for a crisp woman who likes to keep it much too cold.

SHIPS: Above all, Peter/Chemistry. Honestly, I’ve never seen Peter shipped with anyone because of his hated nature within canon, but I would love to see a relationship played out. Particularly one that isn’t healthy and/or Peter is manipulated.

ANTI-SHIPS: No one. Though I will go as far to say I would prefer not any of the Marauders. I think he was all friends with them ([REDACTED]), but I don’t think he was romantically interested in any of them. That being said, I wouldn’t be against it if there was chemistry because that’s what I ultimately ship.

A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY: 

Fay Pettigrew had been a naïve young woman who had fallen for the wrong guy. When her lover who had entranced her with magic and stories of worlds unknown left her without a trace, all she had left of him was a baby boy. Named after his absent father, Peter grew up in a single parent household. While it was obvious he was magical at a young age, his mother insisted he attend Muggle primary school as she had. Because of his oddities, Peter often got made fun of. That all changed during Hogwarts, when James Potter and Sirius Black (the two coolest boys Peter had ever seen) befriended him. Along with Remus Lupin, they became the Marauders.

Peter joined the Order of the Phoenix with them after school and, while he had never been as gifted as the rest, he tried his best to stay afloat. He was doing an alright job, until he made the worst mistake of his life and told the wrong information to the wrong people. He’d overestimated his idol: James Potter had the ability to die and that was something Peter never expected.

After being nearly murdered by Sirius, Peter had cut off his finger and run away as a rat. Finding himself far enough away, he moved from place to place, always leaving the minute people started asking questions. It wasn’t until the Order had found him, squatting in a small run-down cottage, that he returned to his former world. After a lengthy trial where he was found innocent, Peter is now trying his best to acclimate back into his old life.

FIVE TRAITS:

A FEAR: Being alone. The last couple of years have been the loneliest he’s ever experienced. Muggle primary school had been an awful time in his life, but Peter had found a place amongst the Marauders at Hogwarts, even if he was the weakest link. Always worried they’d find someone better – cooler, better looking, smarter – than him, Peter tried everything to make sure he had a place in this world. Now, he has no one and he’s afraid that it might be a permanent thing.

A LOVE: Music. Something he learned from his mother, Peter grew up listening to music and hearing bedtime songs at night. It’s something he never quite got rid of, though once he got to Hogwarts he collected Wizarding tunes as well. He plays music through the radio whenever his insufferable boss isn’t around and often hums to himself as he gets ready in the morning.

A HATRED: Falling asleep. Once Peter gets to sleep, it’s hard for him to wake up. But the getting there is the hard part. It’s the moment that every bad thing he’s ever done runs through his mind and, unfortunately, it’s an ever-growing list.

A PASSION: His work. While it might seem weird to most people, being a mortician’s assistant is something Peter is very passionate about. The fact that dead people can’t judge him has something to do with it – but mostly it’s the process of it all. Every step takes careful deliberation and, with the job, there is little decision-making. Just a clear cut step-by-step process that he can follow without being the one to screw it all up.

A WEAKNESS: Desperate for affection/attention. Always considered the weakling, Peter is desperate for any kind of friendship. It used to be only the Marauders, but now it can be anyone who will give him the time of day.

THREE THINGS:

The Marauders

I’m extremely excited to see a reunion between Peter, Remus, and Sirius. He will have a lot of explaining to do but, after two years of either running, being a recluse, living as a rat, or going on trial, Peter is tired. He’s more wary than ever and his patience his wearing thin – even for his friends. If they don’t accept him, he might never tell him what really happened the night that Lily, James, and Harry died. And, if they can’t find it in their hearts to forgive him, he may just end up joining the Death Eaters once and for all.

Death Eaters and The Order

After moving from place to place for the last two years and steering clear of anything social, Peter isn’t sure where he fits anymore. While he was never really a Death Eater, he did know quite a few of them through various interactions. This puts him in a weird position. He can turn them in to get on the good side of the Order, or keep his mouth shut to keep in the good graces of the Death Eaters. Right now, Peter doesn’t know where he stands and he’s just as easily to betray one group for the other if it means he can find a place in this new world.
