1. How did they first meet? And what was their initial impression of each other?
they met first on christophisis, when ellor was first assigned to anakin! i think in this like, very battle heavy meeting they didnt have a lot of time for any first impression beyond 'new jedi/clone captain, seems capable enough'
i think their first proper one on one gives them a clearer first impression, when ellor opts to meet all ofthe clones onboard and rex tags along. with that i think it'd be like
rex: ellor reminds him of obi wan a bit in his demeanour and accent. with this he sees that he sticks to his word and he admires that
ellor: in a sea of meeting a lot of new clones at once, rex being there throughout it all gives him a very steady and dependable impression of him!
5. Who said "I love you" first? How did it happen?
oohhh....would you believe that im actually not too sure about this?
like the first part im 90% sure it'll be ellor just on the fact that rex struggles to voice his affections at all. years of propaganda and drilling into his head tend to stuff the words in his throat, even as he very much feels them and its something he always struggles with
but how,....whilst i have their story planned quite extensively, that’s one of those things that i think i'm kinda playing by ear, waiting for what feels like the right moment. ellor might say it immediately when they get together, a faucet of love that finally gets to flow. he might not, and instead say it later, we shall see >:3
for the oc x canon asks, how about 10, 22, and 30?

10. How do friends/family of each character view the relationship?
oohhh good question.... i think anakin and ahsoka both see the two are like 'nerds who work well together' lol, and when theyre actually together and they find out its like ohhh GAY nerds who work together. good :]
then i think the clones in general view it as a good thing, both before and after it becomes explicitly romantic. they can see how natural and content rex seems to be in it, which is both good bc hes their brother and they care about him, and then also someone who is happy and motivated is probably gonna be a better leader on the battlefield. hardcase is delighted and is the one mostly likely to bring it up/tease about it gkjsdngjksdgds, then i think...jesse and fives are observant enough to note that happy state or not, this could be distracting too, but it doesn’t mean they disapprove, and fives especially thinks a sort of 'yeah why not, why cant clones also have that' about it
22. What is each of their ideal date night ideas?
lol lets see if rex will dilvuge any of his wants and preferences to me huh KFNKGKNDGJKNGJKGSD
ellor: ellor is willing to try basically anything, but i think he does very much enjoy exploring, whether urban or rural, and then hunkering down somewhere nice to eat, and ending on something where they can be close, a ride on a speederbike where they have to huddle up, dancing, etc. i think with time he'd enjoy sampling local arts too, poking into an amateur theatre production and then discussing it with rex after
rex....[grisps him hard] i think...ultimately he's happy to do whatever ellor likes, and they do have likes that line up and make them compatible anyway, though i do think there's some difference in like....he would definitely prefer quieter places. he likes the hiking and exploring very much too, though he'd prefer it in a more secluded, nature area, finding a very quiet little cafe, riding out somewhere secluded to look at the stars. something that’s just theirs
30. How do they each say "I love you" in their actions?
ooohh in so many ways....lets think
ellor: by watching over him in his room after umbara for nights on end, for continually prodding and pushing rex to do what he wants and think for himself, by how he lingers close and cleans dirt from his armour both because he wants to touch and he knows rex takes pride in it, by how he trusts him enough to be vulnerable with him, by how he defends and prioritises him over the order he grew up with
rex: by bringing a manual version of the chessboard (and a radio) down to him when he's injured and spending hours with him in the medbay, by making his hot chocolates everyday, by not only listening when ellor needs it, but considering what ellor says about him, thinking about it because he values his thoughts and opinions so much, by holding him close and comforting him even when he's still feeling unsure about his feelings because he wants him to be okay so badly

6. What is their favorite thing about the other? (Physical/personality/habits/etc etc)
Anya:
Initially, Anya's favorite thing about Crosshair was how well he could make her stop thinking sdfgkjdsh BUT, it does evolve further into like. He could only do that because he saw through her facade. So as they actually start to develop a relationship, there's a mix of Anya loving how he can recognize how she's feeling/thinking pretty well and a massive fear that it'll also lead to him discovering the parts of her she doesn't want him to see.
Crosshair:
Oh this is a hard one. There's a lot of stuff I think Crosshair loves about Anya, but his favorite? My first instinct is to say her capacity for kindness, how she so readily wants to help complete strangers even if it puts her at risk. Obviously Crosshair tends to be less charitable, less willing to put himself on the line, but I think he admires it, especially since Anya extended that same kindness to him when they first met.
14. If they were to describe each other in only a few words, what would each say about the other?
Oooh, this very much would depend on where in the story they are, so I'm just gonna write where they are now, with the end of Murder In A Bar just completed.
Anya:
"Crosshair is gruff, handsome, and playful."
Crosshair:
"Anya is sexy, sweet, and thinks too damn much."

ooo tysm! no worries i dont think i've talked about that here before! here's a very long answer lol

oh yeah no definitely not gksdsjngsdgd, one of the things that carries through from myself to the vast majority of ocs is a sort of...aversion to the idea of raising children. i have a few character exceptions, but ellor isnt one of them
but, for in character reasons why thats the case, i talked about this privately with some friends a while back and i still have the thoughts there so i'll grab em!
like i think for rex part of it is like...whilst he's used to being a captain and authority figure for other clones, that’s very different than being a dad. i think with yknow, the personhood thing (his issues with letting himself be a person and not just a tool) he's kinda always going to be working on a bit, the idea of a kid freaks him out a little. whilst he is a protective and caring person and does like to mentor i think he'd always worry a bit if he was being soft enough or not. when you were raised to be a tool of violence and u took that to heart for some time its always going to be a doubt at the back of your head. yknow, 'what if i get too soldier on the kid?'
then for ellor i think part of it is like...whilst he finds that he also likes teaching in a sense too, i just don’t think its something he's been particularly interested in? like ofc firstly as a jedi he really hasnt thought about it, whilst jedi to technically raise children its VERY communally until the kid grows into a teen and becomes a padawan. which at that point, yes ur still mentoring a kid, but an older one with different trials and obstacles compared to like. a literal baby.
and think if the idea was brought to him he'd think about how well like...whilst he likes jaden and ahsoka's company, those are teenagers, and whilst i think he thinks kids are sweet and charming, the idea of raising one specifically is a sort of like 'oh uh? huh? hmmm...uhh..' bc like. he's aware it'd be a large, lifelong commitment, and how seriously one must think about it. like i think he knows he'd not really know how to deal with temper tantrums, let alone other things that come with kid raising. then i imagine there's some parental hang ups with knowing how things must have been with his bio parents (dathomirian and all that)
then also for both of them i think there's this sort of like....on their most kid considering days, even then they'd feel unsure, and that in itself would be a sign to not do it. no need to bring a child under the wing of unsure parents who could regret the decision, right? that seems like a risky thing to do, AND a risky thing to do when those two parents, at this point in time, would be part of a rebel alliance lol.
like i think on those days, even as they might think for a moment that it could be nice, maybe. to nurture and care for another person together, they know they have their own hang ups, and they know this isn’t really the life for it, and that’s okay. there's a whole galaxy out there to experience, and maybe there will be a kid or two in the rebellion that they can help with occasionally, in that communal setting that frankly, both of them are far more used to. and instead, maybe they'll keep some little space geckos or something together. that'd be fun
i think that’s part of it. both of them like doing things together, just the two of them. but the idea of raising children that way feels weird and foreign to them (and frankly they do just enjoy being around fellow adults a little more)

9. Are there any AU ideas involving them that shake up their dynamic or story?
hmmm, i dont think so? i'm not really an au kind of guy, i very much like having one canon to work in and then making a huge fic/series exploring that specific interpretation, so i dont really have anything like that beyond sort of one off musings like 'what pokemon would they have if their world had pokemon?' and 'i wonder what colour ellors skin would be if he were human' that sort of thing! nothing structured enough to think much about dynamics
18. What does the future look like for them? Happily ever after? Doomed? Short lived but bittersweet in its end?
hopeful <3 without spoiling too much they find a place that becomes a sort of home and where they can help push back against the empire in their own ways. they both mourn anakin and everything before order 66, and struggle with the creeping trauma of the war catching up with them, but they move forward together
post empire fall i like to imagine them being the type of couple who likes to travel and hike and try new food places lol (and i tie the clones' accelerated ageing in with the chip so when rex has that out during order 66 he begins to age at a regular pace again so they have plenty of time :3)
28. What is the most casual but loving thing they do for each other without even thinking?
make each other their favourite drinks <3 rex starts doing that he's like oh u like hot chocolate. i will Make It For You (lets never talk about this) and ellor starts doing it back with his coffee, and then thats just something that quickly overtime becomes a natural, thoughtless instinct
