COUPLE UP S4 DAY 5, MAX

🫪 Max has often been portrayed as the serious type. On day 5 however he showed different sides. Though, I guess the second side could be considered as him being serious and yet passionate.

🥰 First there was sweet and playful Max during the pool noodle fight. He actually went out of his way to get me involved when I honestly couldn't be bothered because I was sad and missing Jason. That was really sweet of Max. It shows just how caring he actually is.

😅 Then, there was appalled Max when Skye called herself an athlete, only to reveal moments later, that she's a semi-pro Go player. The disappointment was real after the short lived excitement.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 5

🫥 Day 5 brought 3 bombshells, Skye, Brooke and Gene. I must admit I wasn't all that excited about the prospect.

♟️Skye seems nice enough. I think she has potential to be a good friend. I advised her to go for Tommy, though I must admit, I think she could have a good thing with Ethan too, though I couldn't tell her that because my bestie Kelly is into him.

🎤 Brooke didn't give me the best first impression, though she did improve during the date. I'm still not a fan. I'll see if she keeps improving with time.

🧩 Gene is handsome and intriguing. He is caring and gentlemanly, though he gives off player vibes. He reminds me of Jason quite a bit, between his thoughtfulness and his sense of humour. There's a lot of hurt beneath the player veneer. He wants to leave that lifestyle behind and find true love and happiness but is wary of getting hurt in the process. His unwillingness to share his profession is reminiscent of Tony from S1. 🤞🏻 Hopefully that's the only similarity they share🤞🏻. I'm very intrigued by him and wonder what his backstory is. He seems genuinely interested in me. If that's truly the case, I will give him a chance when I do a replay.

😊 The dates were a good opportunity to get to know the newbies a bit better.

🥳 The main event, of course, was Jason coming back. I was so happy to see him again. I had missed him so dearly.

🥰 Our reunion was sweet but too short. I would have loved getting to spend more time alone with him.

🙄 The performances felt like a filler and dragged on for too long. The silver lining, however, is that it provided me with the opportunity to invite Jason to share my bed.

😊 On a lighter note, Rafael got a new suit to look less like Matteo and more like Rafael. 🤞🏻Hopefully that will lead him to fully embrace Eddie🤞🏻.

🤔 The Voice announced two upcoming coupling ceremonies. The first one, the Trial Coupling, is to take place in the evening on day 6 and the couples will remain together for 2 days, meaning the Final Coupling ceremony should be in the evening on day 8. I anticipate that the bombshells might have first choice during the Trial Coupling, in which case, Gene will most probably choose me. I will then get to choose my Jason during the Final Coupling. If I'm correct, that would be tough because Jason and I just reunited. Anyway, time will tell.

😊 Overall, day 5 was fine. I'm looking forward to the next instalment.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 5, PERFORMANCES

🙄 The activity portion of the episode felt like a filler. The performances really dragged on.

😱 Anna shocked me. It was really creepy.

🙄 Rafael did a Rafael, I guess.

♟️Skye was vulnerable talking about how she got into Go.

🤣 Kelly was funny

😍 Max was sweet

🙄 Maeve was judgmental

🔮 Dusk gave us an unsettling glimpse into her mind.

😵‍💫 Ethan shared his all over the place scenario.

🤓 Tommy nerded out about unrealistic robots' representation in movies.

🎤 Brooke did a sing along.

🎭 Gene gave us a poem. It spoke of hurt and unfulfillment. I'm really curious about his backstory🤔

🥰 Jason bravely started us off with a round of compliments

😍 He started with me.

🥰 Jason finally admitted that he admired Max... Just about 😅

😅 He kept the rest of his compliments short. He ended the round by complimenting Gene's handsomeness and admitting that it made him feel insecure, though he has nothing to worry about, if you ask me. I liked that Gene was quick to return the compliment.

🏆 My turn came and I gave away awards.

🤣 Kelly got funniest performance

♟️Skye got most memorable performance

😍 Max got most wholesome performance and naturally tried to pass it on to someone else, but I was having none of it.

😱 Rafael got the most WTF performance and was proud to accept it.

💝 Then, I had a very special award to give, the Kamaria's choice of the night.

💔 Gene felt hopeful. Sorry, buddy, not this time around.

❤️‍🔥 The award went to my cuddle bug, of course.

💘 The award was served with a side of bed sharing invitation. I loved how shocked Jason was to receive the invitation, though he shouldn't have been surprised. I did refuse to share my bed with anyone else in his absence, after all. I loved even more how eager he was to get to bed 🙈

🥰 By the end of day 5, balance was restored. Jason and I were finally back together.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 5, JASON'S RETURN

🥳 The main event of day 5 was Jason returning from the resort. I had missed my cuddle bug so much.

😍 Being reunited meant everything. I loved what he said when he saw me💘. It echoed my own thoughts.

🥰 Getting to spend some time alone together before having to rejoin everyone else for the activity was exactly what we needed. These welcome back kisses ❤️‍🔥🙈

😢 I was sad to hear that the experience had been so emotionally taxing for him that he had to emotionally switch off. The thing he said about being a creative project to his parents broke my heart 💔. He did say before that his parents quite liberal and the hippie type, but he never mentioned being their creative project before. I hope he will open up about it soon.

😶 As expected he called Maeve out on her behaviour and turned down her offer to share a jacuzzi.

🥰 I love that I got to tell him that I slept alone in his absence.

🤔 Then, at Jason's request, I shared my opinion of the new comers.

😊 Jason mentioned having a good first impression of Gene after speaking to him in the dressing room.

😮‍💨 The only thing that bothered me is that we didn't get to talk about us. It's pretty clear, though, that we are still very much committed to each other.

🥰 I love that our conversation ended with Jason reassuring me that he was there now and not going anywhere.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 5, DATE WITH GENE

😶 On day 5 we got to go on a date with each of the bombshells.

🙂 My dates with both Skye and Brooke were friendly in nature.

🍹Brooke turned out to be less intense than she first came across. I'm still not a fan, however.

♟️I think Skye has the potential to be a real friend. I advised her to pursue Tommy. I was tempted to point her in Ethan's direction, however, I didn't want to step on Kelly's toes as she's my friend.

🙈 I went on my date with Gene bearing in mind that Jason was the one I truly wanted.

🤔 I think Gene and Jason have a similar sense of humour.

😶 Gene revealed that he is bi, and that Max is not his type

😊 The true or false game was actually a fun way to get to know each other.

🙈 So, I decided to stay a little longer when he offered for me to do so.

🤔 Gene is not very good at vulnerability, though he has a tough time admitting it. However, when backed against a wall, he did eventually, reluctantly admit it. I guess all he needs is time to build up enough trust to open up.

🙈 By the end of the date we had quite a good read on each other. He was right. I did enjoy the date more than I cared to admit. I finally managed to get a glimpse of his vulnerable self. His words speak of a man who's been deeply hurt to the point where he doesn't trust his heart anymore. He longs for true love but is afraid of getting hurt again, so he turned to one night stands. However, those can't fulfill the longings of his heart, so he took the step of coming to the show to try and address his fear and find love.

🤯 I can't believe I got a confession out of him at the end of our date, in the form of a poetic metaphor. He confessed to his attraction and his apprehension.

🤔 I'm thinking his route will be worth exploring later on a replay, provided he doesn't turn into a jerk.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 5, MEETING GENE

🙈 Thanks to The Voice's help, I found Gene before anyone else could and we spent some time together and got to know each other.

🙈 My first impression was, "Wow. He's handsome 😍 ". But of course getting to know who he is, is far more important than his looks.

😍 His first words gave the impression that he was polite and gentlemanly.

🙈 He reminds me of Jason. Jason tried to help me relax when we first met during the blind date, by telling me a story. Gene offered me the opportunity to rant about Jason being stolen away. Both showed empathy.

😂 Gene is also very playful

😊 He was open enough to admit to his player's past. However, his being tightlip about his job is giving me Tony(S1) flashbacks, so, that's a little worrying. I'm not too sure how to feel about his keeping his personal life and professional life separate. It might be out of self preservation, but hopefully he'll explain more about his reasons later on🤞🏻. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since we've only just met.

😵‍💫 Gene is a bit of a puzzle. He can be pleasant, kind and caring, but can also give off major player vibes. He claims to be genuine, but I guess, time will tell.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 5, THE BOMBSHELLS

😶 Day 5 brought in three bombshells, two women and a man.

♟️ Skye is a Go player. She's not romanceable. Go is a board game similar to chess. She started playing Go and joined the Go club in middle school because she had a crush on a boy who was part of the club. He introduced her to it. However, their friendship deteriorated because the other boys in the club were uncomfortable with her being the only girl in the club, despite, or maybe because of, her being good at it. In the end she ended up staying in the club to spite them, but she also ended up liking it and got support from another woman who was a pro player and took her under her wing.

🎵 Brooke works in a music store and plays in a band in her spare time. She is romanceable. She didn't make the best first impression, as far as I'm concerned. For some reasons, she reminds me of Zoe from S1. She does improve during the date, but I'm still not a fan.

🧩 The only man, Gene, is a bit of a puzzle. He is 27 years old and reluctant to disclose his profession. From his own admission, he keeps his professional life and his private life separate. He is quite mysterious and I'm not too sure what to make of him. He gives off player vibes but seems sincere and genuine about his attraction to me. He seems to seek both my attention and approval. Moreover, I haven't seen him making any moves on the other girls, then again, I have no idea what happened during his dates with them. He has a player's past that he wants to leave behind. He seems caring, he did check how I was doing when we first met because Maeve had taken Jason away from me. He also seems playful. One thing is undeniable, however, he is very attractive. He has a very beautiful smile. His facial expressions remind me of Terence's from S3. To a certain extent, he reminds me of Jason, though, Jason is more open than Gene. It's still early days, though, so maybe, he'll start opening up later. His reluctance to open up about his job is giving me Tony's vibes. 🤞🏻I'm hoping he won't turn out to be another manipulative self centered jerk like Tony🤞🏻

😭 I am missing Jason already.

🙈 So, thought I'd compile some of Jason's comments that were either funny or sweet. Something to go back to until we're finally reunited. My favourite was Jason calling me his girl when I leaned into his "Die" joke 🙈

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 4

🤯 Wow. Day 4 was a lot.

😊 It had started so well. Jason and I had our chat about our Passion Island dates. We both reassured each other that we were still each other's priority, that we were still committed to our relationship.

😊 The Wheel Of Rewards game was fun for the most part.

😠 I wasn't amused by Anna stating her interest in Jason so publicly without giving me a heads up. Miss transparency, obviously forgot to be transparent about the fact that she's into my man. Max didn't comment on that, but it must have stung. I wonder whether she had already told him or not 🤔

🤬 Maeve stealing Jason was such a blow. Them leaving to go to a resort for 36 hours was even worse.

😢 It was bitter sweet saying goodbye to Jason. I'm grateful however that I got to see him and to convey to him how much he means to me before he left. I'm glad he reassured me too.

😮‍💨 The evening felt really dull after that despite everyone's kindness and support.

😊 I'm glad friendship with some of the girls is a thing this season. Glad I had Kelly and Anna to support me after Jason's forced departure.

😒 Ethan's chat was sweet but I'll timed. I understand where he was coming from. He needed to lay his cards on the table before the new comers' arrival, but, I needed time to deal with my heartache.

😴 I decided to sleep alone. I honestly couldn't see myself sharing a bed with someone else so soon after Jason's departure.

🤔 So, day 5 is bringing in new seekers. I wonder how many there will be? What they will be like? Hopefully they won't bring anymore drama.

🤔 There's supposed to be a coupling ceremony soon as well. I guess it will be after Maeve and Jason return. There's likely to be an elimination too.

🤔 There's seem to be a lot up in the air right now.

🤔 The next instalment should be interesting.

😢 After Jason's forced departure, I needed some time to myself. I know it hurt Ethan that I didn't want to share a bed with him. I honestly couldn't see myself sharing a bed with someone else so soon after Jason left. I hope those 36 hours will go by fast🤞🏻

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 4, GIRL TALK AND CHAT WITH ETHAN

🥰 I'm glad I had Kelly and Anna to offer me support. It was such a difficult moment. Having the girls be there for me did make a difference. I'm glad I could share with them what Maeve told me about her choice.

😮‍💨 As far as I'm concerned, the evening was quite forgettable, even though everyone was very kind to me.

🥰 Ethan's chat was sweet but very ill timed. I know he needed to lay his cards on the table before the new comers arrived, but, I needed some time to embrace the pain I was feeling.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 4, NOT GOODBYE, TILL WE REUNITE

😭 Having to say goodbye to Jason was heart wrenching, but I'm grateful we had some time together before he left. But that's not the end of us. We're both clear about that. We're waiting out the 36 hours so we can be reunited. I made Jason promise to become back to me. He asked me not to replace him too fast. I'm glad I was able to convey to him how much he means to me.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 4, UNCOUPLING CEREMONY.

😢 So, initially we thought it was a coupling ceremony, it ended up being an uncoupling ceremony. From there things went from bad to worse.

🤨 I was defiant. Telling whoever would hear me that my mind was made up, that I knew what I wanted and no one would change that. Jason loved it and felt the same

😵‍💫 Then, The Voice announced that one couple would be official and setting off to and staying at a resort for 36 hours. The "public" voted for one seeker to pick the partner of their choice to make that couple. Suddenly things started to feel more complicated.

😭 Then, disaster stroke. Maeve was the one "voted" to make her choice. That biatch decided to go for my man. Jason was shocked and devastated 💔, in total disbelief.

😡 Maeve had the guts to tell me it was all for my good, when she chose Jason only to get her 5 minutes of fame (more like 5 minutes of shame) for recklessly breaking the most popular couple 🤬

🤨 Joke's on her, though. It will come to nothing because Jason has zero interest in her. He'll soon come back to me.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 4, PRE COUPLING CEREMONY JITTERS

😵‍💫 The coupling ceremony is at hand and it's getting to us. I love how, despite being nervous himself, Jason is trying hard to comfort and reassure me. I love how he promised me that no matter what happens at the coupling ceremony, we will be OK.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 4, THE WHEEL OF REWARDS (PART 2)

🐕 Next, Rafael drew the word GOLDEN RETRIEVER. People were divided who it should go to. 🙄 Maeve tried to distort the meaning of the expression, unsurprisingly🙄. She's so thirsty for drama. It's pathetic.

🍪 Rafael made his own mind up and chose Jason, who protested that he was more of a doberman 😅😂🤣😝. As funny as it sounds, I must say, I agree with Jason. As a dog, he's more of a doberman (my favourite breed). Dobermans look overly serious but are "secretly" affectionate. Only those who are allowed to come close enough get to see their affectionate side. That's very much like Jason. Jason spun the wheel and got another cookie. That one apparently tasted of bacon and burnt toasts 😅😂🤣😝

🌞 Tommy went next and drew the word SUNSHINE. He handed the card to Kelly. Kelly spun the wheel and landed a dare. She tried to dare Dusk who used her immunity. Kelly, then, dared Rafael to compliment her every time he spoke until the end of the game 😅😂🤣😝

👋 Dusk drew the word GOODBYE and chose Ethan, saying he was the most adjusted person, with the least to lose if he were to leave the show. I thought it was sweet how Jason tried to remove the sting from the word goodbye 😍. He was grasping for straws, but it was sweet 🥰

💋 Ethan spun the wheel and landed a kiss. He chose me for it. I wish I could have made it a cheek kiss out if respect for Jason, but I was not given the option🤷🏽‍♀️

🎡 Finally, it was Maeve's turn to draw a card. She got the word CLASS. Jason suggested she chose Max to make up for pieing him. Maeve however went for Rafael. Rafael spun the wheel and landed on the red pie, meaning he had to choose someone to pie him. Max generously offered to do it, promising to show compassion as a fellow victim. Maeve argue she should do it because he had more experience 🙄. While the argument was going on, I approached the pies.

🥧 Maeve protested, but Rafael defended me and declared he was choosing me to pie him. Pieing Rafael/Eddie felt more intense and intimate than kissing Jason for some reasons. Jason was acting a little jealous too, I think 🤔. But I get it.

🎡 Apparently, that's not the last we'll see of the wheel of rewards.

COUPLE UP S4 DAY 4, THE WHEEL OF REWARDS

😊 Honestly, the game was more fun than I had expected. There was far less drama than I anticipated.

🎡 So, the deck had been rearranged to host the game. Taking most of us, seekers, by surprise. As usual, Jason had some morbid humour to share 😂. When I joined in and he called me his girl, I melted 🫠 😍🥰

😊 The rules were pretty straightforward. I got chosen to kick off the game. I drew the word FIRE and surprised Jason by choosing him.

🍪 Jason spun the wheel and landed a mystery cookie that apparently tasted like regret 😅😂🤣😝

🎡 Next,Ethan drew the word PRIDE. He gave the card to Dusk, who was surprised. I backed Ethan up which seemed to affect Dusk. She spinned the wheel and landed immunity.

🚩Then came Anna's turn. She drew the word TEMPTATION. She asked to draw another card, obviously, Maeve and Rafael went against it. Tommy tried to advocate for her, the sweetheart 😍, and I tried to help by telling her to give me the card. The little snake gave the card to my Jason who was taken aback. So much for Anna being my friend and advocating for transparency between us girls. I had to find about her interest in my man in that way. I also felt bad for Max. He didn't comment, but I'm sure that must have stung.

💆🏾‍♂️ Jason spun the wheel and landed a massage. He chose me to deliver it to him 😍, saying "Obviously, I choose my partner, Kamaria". Take that, Anna. Jason and I both enjoyed the massage 🥰

😱 Next, Max drew the word SCANDAL. He gave the card to Maeve without hesitation. No one contested that. She spun the wheel and it landed on the purple pie, meaning she could pie someone. She pied poor Max. It was totally undeserved and I said as much.

🎡Kelly took her turn and drew the words MAIN CHARACTER. After a discussion where a few people voiced their opinions, she gave me the card. By the way, it was mean of Ethan to single Tommy out as the only person who didn't give main character energy. I know he was most probably joking, but still. I told Tommy that he was a main character in my book to comfort him. Of course, Maeve tried to twist it into something bigger than it was 🙄.

💋I spun the wheel and landed a kiss. I obviously chose my man, Jason, for it. We both enjoyed it, obviously 😍🥰💘❤️‍🔥❣️ I loved that Jason said he intended to do this again once the game was over. I hope Anna and all the other girls got the message. We're committed to each other.
