So I'm sitting here in Phoenix, AZ, practically a million miles away, with nothing to do, and no one interesting around. I guess I should be grateful, given the last few weeks of chaos. I'm enjoying a drink, and relaxing, and not aggravating anything. I miss you a lot, habibi. It seems I'm a lot less busy without you around. Wish you were here. U'q kily eoi'z syyn qy bike ux eoi gyly.
Iām glad you made it safely back to Phoenix! It somehow feels like months since weāve exchanged correspondence on here. It wonāt be too long until I can legally enjoy a drink with you. You deserve all the relaxation in the world after all your hard work on that news story. Iām jumping back into classes, which is relaxing in itās own way. Or at least, it keeps me busy. Itās easier to pass the time thinking about studying than thinking about how much I miss you, after all. Ov, U goirz.
I'm alright. There's been some ups and downs but I'm managing. I have a pet now! Eublepharis macularius, or a leopard gecko. His name is Oli and he'll be a year old in August. I hope things are going okay for you and Stan. I wish you the best of luck with everything!
Donāt worry, Iām well aware of what eublepharis macularius refers to, no clarification required. Congratulations on your pet! Iāve always considered lizards to have a great combination of portability and adorability. Iām sure Oli is thriving under your care. I know the feeling of riding lifeās ups and downs--hopefully the rest of this year contains a disproportionate amount of ups for you! But regardless, I have a feeling youāre more than capable of succeeding at whatever youāre pursuing in life at the moment. Which is my way of wishing you the best of luck with everything as well--I donāt think either of us needs to rely on something as nebulous as good luck, but it couldnāt hurt to receive some anyway.
We shall see how things play out for Stan and I in the upcoming semester, but for now we are doing just fine. No pets of our own (unless you count a magical disembodied hand with human-level intelligence), and Backupsmore is as mediocre as ever. If I see Stan later today, Iāll let him know youāve said hi, in which case Iām sure he will be eager to catch up with you as well. ~Stanford Pines
WHAT THE HELL?! I mean, WOW and... gimme a minute. -Lee
As the kids say it nowadays, āsjkdhfkjhdsā.
~Ford
P.S: In all seriousness, itās a lot to take in! Take as many minutes as you need.
I wouldn't mind a visit at all! I'd love to see you again, and eager to meet Jasmine and Stan. Admittedly more than 3, pushing 4 new faces showing up at my door might be overwhelming. I'm just wondering if it'd be easier if I came to you? One person traveling versus an enterage sounds more practical. Unless you really wanted to come. You can always give me a call to make arangements! It's great to think I'll see you soon! -Lee
Now thatās an idea! Iāll ask the others and see how they feel about it first, of course, but you coming to us would certainly be more efficient. Iāll call you sometime this week to discuss details of this potential meet up.
~Ford
It's been what feels like years, holy shit how are you? I feel bad for disappearing on ya ( Ben Soscontitituino/Sosco )
Oh, Ben Soscontititiuino! Iām certain Stanley will be happy to know youāve said hi, as am I. Ha, it does feel like years, doesnāt it? Time moves in strange ways when there is so much going on in the world. Iāve lost count of how many irons I have in the fire right now, but itās truly a ridiculous number. Donāt feel bad about the long time between now and last time we spoke, I admit I havenāt been as active in replying to messages lately as Iād like to have been, either. Iām doing fairly well, considering everything! Stanley and I are still in the same old Backupsmore dorm together, preparing for the upcoming semester. I hope life has treated you well lately?

The Truth is Finally Out
16 dead under Backupsmore: Manipulated students, missing police records and the 1982 nuclear explosion you never heard of
Read the full article here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fhvICF7eMyA84a0qmncCXJ7mK6KQLwQyUTVnkyrxkD0/edit?usp=sharing
Jasmine has been working tirelessly on the research for this since the beginning of last month. You wouldnāt believe how many interviews one must conduct in order to gather enough details for a news story of such nation-wide importance! It is not a happy tale, but itās certainly one that shouldnāt have been kept hidden from the public for 30 years, and who better than the endlessly talented and diligent Jasmine to bring the Backupsmore 16 to justice? Once again, I am not claiming any credit for such a well-crafted article, but I will be answering questions on the blog about it! Backupsmore is already crawling with reporters, so Iām far from the only source out there about everything that happened in Backupsmoreās basement on a fateful evening of 1982, but itās the least I can do to offer answers to you all after youāve waited so patiently to know what weāve been so tight-lipped about until now! ~Stanford Pines
Oh really?! Well Iām very eager to see the results of your oh so secret project then Ford!Ā
Guess the work you did inĀ CaliforniaĀ really helped then! Iām glad!Ā
Iāll be sure to help spread the word when you make the big announcement!Ā
ā¦.that is if youāre sure you want to announce it to the world? I of course, donāt at all know what you and Jasmine have been up to besides guessing evidence from context clues. Your (Iām guessing) mindboggling discovery could be what the public needs to hear, but everything has consequences. Just, be careful. Knowledge can be as much a savior as a danger.Ā
But Iāll support your decision! Canāt wait to hear the news!Ā
-LeeĀ
P.S. Glad you got to catch a break with a peaceful new years too. You deserve it.Ā
I am just as eager to share the results with you, as well as with the world! Not to count our metaphorical chickens before they hatch, but I think this project should have no trouble being spread across the nation, at the very least. Although word-of-mouth is one of the best ways to spread this kind of thing, so any amount of word-spreading is appreciated. Youāre very flattering, but I must give credit to Jasmine for this discovery. Youāll see why in my next post today, but aside from the project being wholly in their area of expertise, they also discovered the majority of it themself. I did lead her to find something that set us down this path of discovery, but for once it was entirely by accident. I- well, I donāt want to give too much away before the big reveal, so Iāll stop there. But to make a long story short, Jasmine is the star of this discovery and I couldnāt be more proud of them. Itās wonderful to hear from you again, by the way! We (meaning everyone currently living near or at Backupsmore who interacts with the blog) were just recently discussing the possibility of going on a little roadtrip to visit you. I donāt want to overwhelm you with too many visitors at once, of course, so please let me know if youāre comfortable with the idea of that, or if only one or two visitors (including myself) would be preferable. Or no visitors at all! I donāt want to make you feel obligated to meet again if you have your hands full. Iām sure you have some fascinating research of your own to do, if not now then sooner or later. The weird and mysterious is not too hard to find if youāre looking for it, after all! I hope youāre doing well, and I canāt emphasize enough how much I look forward to our next correspondence. ~Ford
Hello, Ford here! As Stanley said, we're back from our roadtrip, and as I write this, it is January 1st, 2020. Within a few days, the project I've mentioned only in the vaguest of terms will become public knowledge! Once the truth is out, I'll be happy to answer questions (within reason) about the whole thing. Until then, all I can say is I'm sure you all will understand quite soon why I've been so busy this past month.
As for more personal matters, there is only a week or so left until the new semester begins, and I have yet to get my school supplies (not that there will be many of them to get, at this school). Our New Years Eve wasnt particularly eventful, which was a nice change of pace from the busy-ness that's been the past few weeks. There is still much to do today related to the aforementioned project, and then I anticipate having more time to spend on blog responses. Thank you to everyone for your patience with the lack of updates!
~Stanford Pines
