Hircine
"There are many kinds of werecreatures, werewolves the most famous of them all. However, I am interested in a type heard of only in rumours: the wereshark. Sadly, my expeditions have yet to yield results. If I continue these expeditions any longer, I will have spent more time in water than on land these past few seasons."

Hircine, also known as the Lord of the Hunt and Master of Beasts, is a Daedric Prince. He rules over the spheres of the Hunt, the Chase, and the Greatest Game. He is one of the most commonly worshipped of the Daedric Princes, as his sphere advocates for allowing his prey - to which he refers to as the Hare - a fair chance, while also relishing in the thrill of the hunt. He tends to be more straightforward than other Daedric Princes who may prefer schemes over direct action, which has also made him more popular among the general populus.
Lycanthropes
Lycanthropy, people turning into werebeasts, is something that originates from Hircine as a blessing of his, and they are often called his children. He despises those who accepted his blessing willingly but then regret it or free themselves of it, and has been known to kill those who regret their lycanthrophy. Whether their blessing was willingly received or not, lycanthropes' souls are claimed by Hircine, and so after their demise they spend their afterlife in Hircine's domain.
Realm
Hircine's Oblivion realm is called the Hunting Grounds. It is a forest of massive proportions where lycanthropes and unicorns roam, and all of the animals are much larger than those seen in Nirn.
Hircine's followers spend their afterlife in the Hunting Grounds, living in hunting lodges and participating in hunts, getting to witness the endless cycle of death and rebirth of nature and the excitement of the hunt. As well as his followers, lycanthropes spend their afterlife in the Hunting Grounds as well, experiencing the thrill of the hunt for an eternity. And if a mortal were to die in the Hunting Grounds, their soul will stay there.
Great Hunt
To signal the start of the Great Hunt, Secunda, the lesser moon, turns red. The Hunt lasts until the Bloodmoon fades. The Bloodmoon has as such become a symbol for the Great Hunt, and those wishing to join craft and wear bloodstained bone pendants in the shape of a moon, though Hircine's choice in who should participate is not restricted to those with the pendant.
The Great Hunts, also known as Hunter's Games, are set in Hircine's realm, the Hunting Grounds, and happen frequently, though outside his realm they happen once per era. The Hunt consists of the hunters and the hunted party, the Hare, who is personally chosen by Hircine. The Hunt changes for each era, but typically it includes the hunters - often lycanthropes and followers of Hircine - attempting to kill the Hare who is trying to escape and outsmart the hunters. A key part of the Hunt is Hircine's Law of the Hunt, which stipulates that the Hare must have a genuine chance at escaping.
The winner of the Hunt is allowed to request a boon from Hircine, but simply participating in the Great Hunt is considered an honour among many.
Traveler's advice: Despite his Law of the Hunt stipulating that the Hare be granted a fair chance at escape, it does not mean that said chance will be significantly large or easy to access. Neither the Great Hunt nor any smaller hunts Hircine's followers arrange are to be taken lightly. It is not unheard of for his followers to put up hunts of their own, ones with exceedingly few chances for the Hare, but those hunts also do not have a Daedric Prince looking over them, which gives the participants more options than just playing the game.
