Sweet lad :) Seeks-the-Light loves butterflies and luna moths, swimming, sunning himself on the Riften docks, and collecting things dropped or lost in Lake Honrich

I’m debating whether to keep his throat “spines” or not. He’s modeled after the Grand Cayman Iguana, and iguanas often have these flexible spines on their dewlaps, but Seeks doesn’t have much of a dewlap.

I am very tired. So I drew my Argonian, Seeks-the-Light getting some sleep. Because of his horns and feathers, he tends to sleep on his belly, preferably with his head slightly propped by a cushion or his arms.

I swear his face gets longer every time i draw him

His Common name will still be Seeks-the-Light, of course! And while I can’t find any equivalent to “seeks” in Jel (so that part will remain the same), the rest is more accurate now :D

Headcanon 016: Insect Aficionado

Sakeel loves insects! He remembers chasing Torchbugs in Windhelm as a child, and has held that fondness to adulthood.

His favorite insects, aside from Torchbugs, are butterflies and moths. His favorite of all, are swallowtail butterflies, found in temperate and tropical climates.

One of his dreams is to create a butterfly garden, a place where he can plant flowers of all kinds to attract butterflies of all different species!

Though not particularly a fan of biting or stinging insects, being an Argonian gives him a natural resistance to disease, poisons, and venom. Beyond that, scales are difficult for mandibles or stingers to pierce. This allows him to enjoy all insects (or arachnids and other small “creepy crawlies”) in relative safety.

Many of the races of man and mer view Argonians and other beast races as “savage,” but it’s difficult to hold that opinion when one sees a 6-foot-tall Argonian gingerly holding a butterfly on his fingers with a wide smile on his face.

Headcanon 015: Hissing Speech

Like many Argonians, Sakeel draws out the S sound in words, most notably when a word begins with the letter S. This is a natural result of Argonian morphology and typical accent.

When particularly anxious, however, this “hiss” becomes far more pronounced, to the point where he seems to become stuck on the syllable and has difficulty moving past it, much like a stutter.

(I used to portray the normally drawn-out S sounds in his speech by placing 2 additional S at the beginning of words which begin with S. I will no longer do that, as it became a bit obnoxious to both write and read. I will do so in the case of the second scenario, though, as it denotes his nervousness in a situation.)
