      she blinks, & he keeps talking nonsense.  this deflection ticks annoyance under her skin.  she needs silence, here, to focus, instead of his tangent reeking the atmosphere.  yet, there’s a final tactic, deciding on it within an inhale.  during the exhale, her figure disappears.  emptiness fills the void once leaning on the wall.  except she’s still there, only taking two steps away from her original spot.  time to watch his reaction.
