“ Of course, I’ll go tell her you plan on visiting.”

“Yeah, pretty much. A drifter traveler, or just ‘drifter’. I’ll do some jobs or bounty hunts here and there whenever I want to or if I ever get the chance. Kinda how I can stay on my feet.”

“ Ohhh~ that sounds like a convenient job then. So-- you never thought of trying to study at any huntsman academy.”

If their version of Snow White had the main character wake up and live happily ever after, maybe. Not that Ryouka was fond of it though, had she been a bit critical and doesn’t necessarily believe in happy endings. Though it wasn’t worth to mention anyway so…

“Oh, I call him Ben.” She isn’t that creative when it comes to giving names. She only named a few birds that are with her most of the time.

“ Oh! It’s a pleasure to meet you Ben.” Seiryuu smiled leaning over to Ryouka’s shoulder to greet the small bird. Just as he greets it, her torso would start to shuffle causing Seiryuu to step back a bit.

“I guess someone else wants to meet Ben.” He chuckled and suddenly three small dragons popped out of Seiryuu’s collar looking at the bird curiously. “ These are my own companions, three small Azure dragons.”

“Mate, thats Marcus Fenix down there. If anyone can handle a bit of solo ass-kicking I’d say it would be him.”

A moment later the armored form of the soldier returned, light trailing across the floor. 

“Alright, we’re clear. No more civvies, and no more Grimm.”

“ I could imagine..” Seiryuu said just looking at the manwhole and turned back to Ash. “ At least you can rely on him getting the job done.”

❝ don’t you dare touch her!. ❞ Seiryuu shouts at the bandit that wanted to steal from her. He drew Zhao from his back and points it to the criminal.

Fayre wwasn’t sure about what was happening. One moment, she was alone with this stranger who had turned their weapon on her and next thing she knew, Seiryuu was there. ‘’W-Where did you come from? N-Not that i’m not grateful for it.’’

‘‘It’s complicated…. Like real complicated, it involdes pretty unbelievable stuff. We didn’t speak very much….’‘

“ Complicated? I-- don’t know about this. Mother must’ve kept this from me since she normally tells me everything about her life and father’s..”

“You should be proud, it is an amazing semblance.  I would love to have a semblance like that.  Your dragons are so cool.”  Riku smiles and nods his head as he listens to him.

“Wow, that is cool.  It makes sense for rescue missions.  You can have them carry multiple people that need help transporting.  I can understand why you would not want to use them for combat.” “40 minutes.  Going to take a while.  Is there something you want to ask me?”

“Thank you so much. I’m very proud of my dragons really. Some would call them my creations, while that is a fact I consider them my family now since we all grew up together.” Seiryuu smiled, booping all three of his dragons.

“ My dragons know that they’re protectors and-- they only destroy when I prompt them to.” He said and sighed a bit. “... and that’s only happened once in my life and that was when I was still a child.”

“ Ask?” He tilts his head to the side, “ I am curious about your fire semblance.. how do you utilize them?”

“Let me tell you something, dear son of mine - if I didn’t love you mother, I wouldn’t have married her. When you’re in love, you have to remind your significant other at least twice a day, otherwise there will be problems.”

“ I know that, Papa.” Seiryuu puts a hand on his side cheek. “ At least do it when I’m not in the room. A peck on the lips is alright and saying you love her-- but it sometimes turns into a make-out session I’m almost worried you’d start making my sibling in front of me.” He said.

“ ....that’s because we don’t need to anymore.. ”

“... Wait what? ”

“Eh, don’t sweat it. You’re not the first to assume such….” A mere shrug of her shoulders, pocketing her hands. Assumptions aside….she never did think much about a vigilante type of role….

“Me? Well…..Not much, really. I guess I’m what you call a ‘drifter’…. I just go from place to place, not staying long and always moving about…”

“ Drifter? That’s an interesting term that I haven’t heard before. So-- you’re a drifter traveler?”

The large Faunus returns his bow and looks at his teammates with confused look.

“What? You aren’t going to return it?”

“Nobody but you does that, Stubby.”

The blonde smacks the back of Oeric’s head to repremand him.

“Sorry about that, we’re team KOBE from Beacon. That’s Beryl, Oeric, Eirwen and I’m Krystal,” she says as she points to each of the members.

“ It’s a pleasure to meet all of you Team KOBE.” Seiryuu greets them and turned to Krystal who seemed to be the ‘calmer’ one. “ Is there anything you need? I’ll gladly help.”

“You know Snow White as well? We also have that in fairy tales in this world.” Perhaps the world he came from is Earth in a sense after all. Just having a different name and albeit a bit more mysterious. “I think you can say I am like Snow White though I don’t eat apples given by strangers. And yes, he’s my companion.” The bird even chirped in unison with her response.

“ Oh! Then I guess we share a bit of common fairy tales then. I wonder if it ends the same thing.” Seiryuu said and just looked at the bird chirping.

Heh. So formal. 

“Its just search and rescue, man. This is the kind of stuff they give to Huntsmen who they don’t think can handle the real field work. Still…no worries. Glad  you were here to help out honestly.”

One of the men on the back of the earthmover jumped down into the hole, weapon light on. He advanced out of sight, and a moment later the sound of gunfire came from the hole.

“DAMN, talk about close…Fenix, what you got down there!”

“Just a Creep! Hang on-” There was the roar of a chainsaw starting, then a mixture of screams; the metal-on-Grimm shriek, the howl of a Grimm literally being ripped apart alive with a saw blade, and Fenix’s roar of aggresion against the beast. 

“NOTHING BUT BITS! HAHA!” 

“ It’s not a problem.” Seiryuu said before his attention is drawn to the noise underneath the manhole. “...Are they.. going be al---” Then he hears a chainsaw and screams.

“... I’m guessing they are..”

Riku finished giving his pets and watched the dragons go back to Seiryuu.  He looked back at Seiryuu and nodded his head.  “That is soo cool.  It is amazing that you can do something like that.”

“5 years younger than you, wow that is a long time.  It must be so useful to have dragons, it is like they can fight for you.  Though I am sure you are a great fighter so there is no need for that.”  Riku looks around, “So how long do you think we will be flying for?”

“ Well.. It’s a talent my mother said. Not everyone with a semblance can conjure a living creature like that so.. I’m pretty proud of my three dragons.” Seiryuu smiled as the three smaller dragons would all nuzzle his cheeks.

“ My dragons help me fight and I try not to rely on them so much unless they are rescue missions. I incorporate them in my fights to guide me rather than use their power to fight.”

“Hmm.. at least 40 more minutes?”

“ Oh! Hello there, my name is Seiryuu Gray.” He bows to them at a 90 degree angle. “ How may I help you today?”
