Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
Chansung had barely even realized that hunters had joined their little party until he heard a familiar voice. He turned on Seungri, teeth bared. He was waiting for him to make the first move, worried about leaving Seonyu’s side, when he ended up being blindsided by two of the other wolves. Taken off guard, Chansung took the full brunt of the hit and was shoved into the side of the barn wall, giving a husky growl as the wolves’ teeth broke his flesh.
He turned his head, catching a glimpse of Seungri snatching up Seonyu and whisking him away. If he had been bitten, he was pretty sure that once the hunters found out, they would probably kill him. With a sudden jerk he managed to shake the wolves off of him and then attacked again, trying to fight his way through all three of them now to try and get to Seungri. Unfortunately, the hunters had also turned their focus on them now, making things even harder for him.
Kousuke’s gaze was full of affection as he drew closer to attacking Shunsuke, but as soon as he drew his weapons, Kousuke dodged and leapt back a little. “Iwa-channn! It’s been so long and this is how you greet me?” he whined pitifully, trying to dart around behind his back but as always Shunsuke seemed to be able to expertly read his movements, no matter how quick they were.
It was frustrating sure, but that was one of the things that Kousuke adored about him. Until he had met Shunsuke, he’d never really felt challenged before. Sure some of the hunter’s put up a good fight, but he’d never seriously felt like he was in danger until the first time they’d met. It had been an exhilarating thrill to have someone fight him with such skill and determination and despite how their relationship had changed over time, that sincerity in their fights had never faltered.
“Iwa-chan you’re so mean,” he complained despite how he was smiling from the scolding he had received. “I missed you and wanted to see you!” he added, his pouty, cute expression turning to something much more serious and dangerous. “Besides, these vile creatures deserved death for this fucked up plan of theirs,” he growled, lunging toward Shunsuke again with much more force this time.
Each dodged the others attacks over and over but Kousuke made it clear he was enjoying every minute of it. As he leapt aside to avoid another attack, his nails grazed across Shunsuke’s cheek. A moment later, his cheeks grew flushed and his knees seemed to weaken. Kou brought his nails to his lips and lightly licked the few drops of blood from them. Kou gave a soft, lustful little moan as his eyes flicked up to meet Shunsuke’s again. He licked his lips, desperate to taste more of it.
“Whoops…sorry,” he teased, looking anything but apologetic. “Any chance you might let me have some more?” he asked, although at the moment he knew what the answer would be. He rushed back toward him but after only a couple minutes he realized that the situation was turning from their favour. “Tch…guess it’s time to go. I’ll miss you Iwa-chan~~” he said, blowing the sexy hunter a playful kiss as he leapt back down to the main floor and whistled for Chansung to follow him. The two of them skillfully evaded the other hunters as they fled the barn.
“Did their little hostage escape?” Kousuke asked, glancing over at Chansung as they safely made it back home. He allowed his servant and best friend to take his jacket, but he didn’t miss the way his expression seemed troubled. “Seungri-ssi took him,” he confessed, and Kou’s eyebrows rose from the surprisingly angry and defeated tone that Chansung had. His wounds already healing, Chansung couldn’t help feeling guilty. He kept thinking about what might happen to the beautiful little hostage. He’d just wanted him to be able to escape, to maybe be able to have a normal life again but after this, that seemed highly unlikely, especially after being captured by the group of hunters.
Shunsuke hated the increased adrenaline coursing through his veins, his racing heart rate; both symptoms of encountering Asuma Kousuke. Nothing in his actions, words or even their tone betrayed how much the vampire’s attention thrilled him. In fact, he couldn’t even admit it to himself. He hated the way he felt where Kousuke was involved. He was supposed to want to kill him and quite honestly, he didn’t want to imagine life without him.
Their cat and mouse game had preoccupied Shunsuke since he’d first tracked the notorious vampire down. He’d been warned repeatedly about his skill and his blood thirst and still he’d found his breath taken the first time he saw him. Kousuke was supposed to be his nemesis and it had started out that way, but the attraction between them was undeniable and eventually neither of them could resist the temptation of letting their guards down just enough to see if the spark between them would ignite. And it did.
Shunsuke glowered at Kousuke, seemingly immune to his pouting and his adorable whining. He couldn’t allow himself to lose focus or that’d be it; he’d be dead. It was hard though, especially when this time, he didn’t feel like Kousuke’s assessment of the situation was that far from reality. The men and women at this event probably didn’t deserve to have their lives saved, but Shunsuke felt he had no right to be the one making that decision.
He continued to throw attacks towards Kousuke and dodge the ones aimed at him. He didn’t even realize his focus was straying until he caught a whiff of the intoxicating perfume the vampire wore. Shunsuke’s eyes shifted as he pulled away from coming particularly close to Kousuke, his eyes unintentionally glued to the vampire’s lips instead of his sharp nails. The sting of those nails slicing the skin of his cheek apart brought Shunsuke crashing back to reality.
He leapt back, eyes wide as he reached up to touch the wound. He never knew for sure if Kousuke was fighting completely seriously or if he really was toying with him. His unapologetic apology caused Shunsuke’s eyes to narrow and he gritted his teeth. He ran back at Kousuke with renewed fervor, only to have their battle cut short. “YAH!” he growled angrily as Kousuke turned tail and fled.
He contemplated giving pursuit, but he’d only made it a couple steps before he abandoned the idea. With Chansung gone the werewolves were focused on his men or trying to flee the barn and disappear. A few carefully aimed bullets solved the werewolf problem, but Shunsuke was fairly certain they were one werewolf short.
Eventually, the chaos died down. A head count of survivors was taken. The injured were sent back to the compound first while the others worked on tidying the crime scene. Seungri’s team had been abandoned since it had been reported he had put Seonyu in the back of his van and rushed away with him a couple hours earlier.
Shunsuke was exhausted by the time he returned to the enormous gated compound that was Lee Industries. The other hunters were eager to go home to shower and get cleaned up after such a long night’s work, but Shunsuke lingered in the training facility. He slowly undressed; his body sore after fighting Kousuke. He removed his weapons and his clothes, walking into the enormous white tiled shower room with a towel around his waist. He hung the garment on a hook by the door and then crossed to the opposite side of the room, letting the water run hot to ease his muscles.
