The casters are beset by a very unexpectedly poor port of an Irem Contra-like, and wander off into discussion about golf, horny mahjong, and dairy helmets.
Gegege no Kitarou: Fukkatsu! Tenma Daiou
A licensed game based on a classic Japanese property. In this episode, the battle to determine this episode’s Lord Gamer was a heated one. Discussion travels from the origins of youkai to 4Kids localizations, and CourierRice and Tulpa have some very different feelings about kusoge.

Let’s Talk About The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Uh, so, anyway: rock people, fish people, bird people, women of color. What an imaginative, exotic fantasy world the people at Nintendo have given us! Furthermore: Gerudo women are preoccupied with finding husbands. (This is because there are no Gerudo men and, therefore, there’s pressure on them to venture out into the rest of the world to find mates, mumbled Hideo Kojima.) In one corner of the world you can find a Gerudo woman hanging out near a heart-shaped lake who is basically prepared to marry the first man who shows up and shows interest, and in another there’s one who is disappointed that her skills as a seamstress can’t seem to get her a man. You can actually find a husband for the latter in a branch of one of the game’s biggest sidequests. If you explore the Gerudo city well enough you’ll find out that there’s a Gerudo woman who offers two daily lectures to the other residents. She teaches, I shit you not, a cooking class at night and a class on how to find a man during the day.
8128 wrote this review of Breath of the Wild that might be a nice antidote to the unmitigated gushing you find elsewhere.

The Motoko-chan no Wonder Kitchen episode is up and out! This time we discussed a Japan-exclusive promotional tie-in game for Ajinomoto brand mayonnaise! This game is considered a rarity due to only being obtainable through mail order (e.g., collected boxtops, that kind of thing). Experience secondhand what people are calling “like crossing off a checklist, but in that fun old DOS Mickey Mouse goes to the park and eats his spaghetti way.” In the Salaryman Corner this time, we accidentally play a good game!? “Press Start” and hear all about Battle Jockey!

We’ll take any SNES game, whether licensed or unlicensed, translated or untranslated, vanilla or hacked! We do have limited funds, though, so try to pick something that everyone can access and play with an emulator. Perhaps the touch of a squad of heroes brave enough to explore the Super WilderNES (for at least an hour per episode).

The Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest episode is up! Like the Bomberman episode, this is one of our less-focused, goofier casts wherein we express our Love (definitely not frustration, certainly not) for kusoge and brands. This is the first game on the cast that all participants managed to clear before the deadline! Somehow. Also featured this week is a brief discussion on the unreleased political mascot platformer Socks the Cat Rocks the Hill.
In the Salaryman Corner this week, we briefly touch on Super Nichibutsu Mahjong 4: Kiso Kenkyuu Hen and boy let me tell you I uh well I actually forgot to play it but everyone else remembered!
