So I thought it would be a great idea to create a platform in which I can just share some of my thoughts and experiences as a child of God and how to overcome trials and temptations.
I’m going to start by talking about self judgement and how you can overcome it by self acceptance. In this day and age there are so many temptations that us as young people we face day and night, most of them in most cases start as a minor substance or shall I say a small substance.It all starts by tolerating these things which you know are not good for you as a child of God but you do it anyways until you live in sin because you don’t see that sin, as sin. It then becomes part of your life and you will do everything that you can to make yourself feel good about what you doing even though deep down you know it’s not right. You will have the perfect excuse as to why you doing it and why there is nothing wrong with it.
The devil works in different ways to get the children of God as far away as possible as he can from him this is because as soon as you are in to sin, you only going to get more and more in to it until sin becomes who you are. I myself have had times were I have lived in sin and enjoyed myself in the things that I know will not please my father in heaven.
James 4:17-17
If anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.
Especially for those that know that what you are doing is wrong but continues to do it will surely be punished.
I thank God that we serve a forgiving father who says in his word 1 John 1:7-9
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Everyone sins but our God in heaven does forgive us and if he can forgive you and me there is no reason why you can’t forgive yourself. Sometimes that can be the greatest challenge of all, self acceptance, it is very important that we do not judge ourselves based on the past as that doesn’t please God, but what pleases him is you submitting yourself unto him. With God the past is past:
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. The only thing that God wants from us is our dedication and devotion to the works of his kingdom. To be able to do whatever he say.
Romans 13:1 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
The amazing thing with God when he has forgiven you, it’s done and it only takes faith and understanding as to what your Father in heaven is asking from you.
Believe in God alone, do what is right by him, it’s never too late to change your life around. Sometimes you have to ask yourself this question, until when am I going to get tired of the things of the enemy. For other people they haven’t been as lucky, but for you and me we have a second chance to do what’s right by God.
In life you have to take responsibilities for your actions, look at how things have turned out and plan how you can turn them around. It’s you who has the key to your destiny for the purpose God has set out for you. Believe me it is never too late what so ever.
