In 1997 Minorsage decided the server error 404 needed a tribute page.  It seemed like an odd thought, but she made the page: 404

What followed were a thousand tributes to the 404 Error - File not found.

Now that's she getting into writing iPhone apps, she's taken a fancy to 'awakefromNib'.  Maybe more than a fancy.  She made shirts.

I updated our Richmond pages today.  I would say 90% of the links were bad.  NINTY percent!

I don't remember the last time I checked those pages.  Seems it was before many Richmond entertaiment sources and businesses had their own URL. 

Back in 1998 were going to have the premiere guide to Richmond.  A lot of people had the same idea.  Thousands of Richmond guides popped up, and we abandoned ours.  Let's see, coffee or a visitors guide?  Really, hands down, it's no contest.  We went with coffee.

I do wish we had more businesses listed.  I don't mean fast food joints and chains, but local businesses, small businesses, software developers, things like that.  If you want to get listed, and you're one of the above, go to our "City Guide - Richmond" page and shoot me an email.

I think some of my friends are already doing this, but until now, I didn’t think there was method to their madness.  (There probably isn’t, most of them are narcissistic, and believe the world needs to know that they think “Domino’s is yummy.”)

In all seriousness, as I’m a big fan of privacy, there might be some merit to this idea.  What do you think?

Have Jes working on an app for us.  Every day, she says she doesn't understand the Xcode program.  The code, she gets, just not the program.  She says it's like sitting Monet down with Photoshop and telling him to paint some waterlilies.  Then, she says she's given up.

I don't point out that she isn't Monet.  I don't point out that she's an idiot savant with code.  I don't point out that when something truly frustrates her, she will do everything necessary to conquer it. 

The next day, she's back at work on it.

We're switching to tea

Not really.  But, Facebook switched everyone over to the 'new' new profile today.  Yes, people are complaining.  Of course.  It's a rule.  Is there anything wrong with the new profiles?  Really wrong?

 YES.

The status updates are now simply another post on your wall.  They aren't at the top of your profile page anymore.  Facebook was built on the status update.  It was their niche.  I know, they've almost taken over the internet, but you don't drop the one thing that made you stand out.  The core you built your service around.

So no, we aren't switching to tea, but I'll be a lot of Facebook users will be switching to tumblr.
