The amount of misanthropy and how it is handled in the community makes me deeply uncomfortable

And its not to say that beings experiencing misanthropy are in the wrong at all!

However, I've seen a HUGE influx in posts that outright state that humans are parasites, that they're inherently evil, that they're disgraces, etc. (all words I've seen personally recently), and it makes me realize. The "alterhuman" community is JUST the nonhuman community on here now.

Which isn't a bad thing, but it really made me realize I am not welcome here.

I am human. I fullheartedly see myself as human. I also am spiritually and mentally a dog. It's part of my identity, sure, but I'm still human.

It's hard to want to indulge in the community as much as I used to when my identity is being treated as less than, as evil, as anything terrible because of me being human.

What happened to not generalizing a species? What happened to "Everybody is welcome here"?
