Today's study space: my old desk. Didn't study much, though...I had to go to the bank (spent a lot of time there not willingly tho) and had an extreme headache.

No one really tells you how research works
But then again, if there was a guide, it wouldn’t be research anymore, would it?

I took my last final and moved back home today :,)
I’m glad it’s finally over, because physically my body is at its wits end. But also I will miss seeing my friends daily and going on walks together :/
Waiting for results will be my next personal hell
How life feels when you’re studying for the 70th (and last) exam of med school🤍
Thesis diaries: Happy I got a lot of reading done on the morning train home. During my trip I bought these frog sticky notes, and I intend to use them as little reminders of what is important to cover. It’s just me and my frogs against this thesis 🐸

Finals creep closer, but I actually feel Call. Not necessarily because I know a lot lol, they’re just so close at this point, that I know I won’t be able to change the outcome anyway.
I do need all the luck in the world tho :)
Day 21/43 of productivity!
Fuuuckk finally got through my first subject, a small win but a win nevertheless (it was biochemistry)!
On the downside… I had my first dream about my subject material this exam season.

31 May 2026 ☀️
I did some studying today but first and foremost I ironed a pile of clothes bigger than my entire self. June starts tomorrow (what) and I'm less than two weeks away from the first final of the semester (WHAT)
On repeat today: Eat My Dust!, Dead Pony ♪ (what else is new I'm obsessed with this song)
feeling like an academic victim at this point of the semester :’))
sunday | may 31
for the first time, what i want in my academic and personal lives doesn't align. it's hard to focus on the countdown to graduation when i'm counting down to a goodbye i desperately want to put off.

How weird is it that for the past three years, I wanted nothing more than for this to be over. But now that the end is in sight, I panic at the thought of leaving uni.
practice questions, timers, sticky notes and tabs on standby, the blurting method, ruffling through textbook pages and notes, the smell of whiteboard markers, everything on the to do list scheduled in a planner, the sound of pencil scratching paper

Gave my second to last presentation of the semester yesterday! As is my personal tradition, here's what I still have to accomplish before summer break starts:
one last presentation (which is almost finished)
3 finals
finishing up the specialization project (including writing a report, but I've already written most of it)

Words can’t describe how burnt out I feel. The weather is really nice tho
drowning in seminar reading (O6. O4. 2O26)
sooooooo…. I have not yet written the paper due at 9am tomorrow. Or today I guess, since it’s 1am. desperately doing source analysis so I have enough material to flesh out this paper. Hoping to god I can stay awake. Going to go make oatmeal to sustain myself now.
6.05.2026 // it's finally autumn, only a month late.
this will be my first full autumn-winter in this city and i'm looking forward to the cold. i skipped winter all of last year thanks to my fieldwork. i plan to lock in and just write my thesis so that i'm on track to producing a first full draft by the end of the year.
