I want to talk about symbolism in the game. And I think that these shots, namely the appearance of Hank at the moment when Tracies join hands, are not accidental. We have a scene of literally fighting for love.

There are a lot of discussions about love in this chapter. After all, let’s not forget that later in the scene on the bridge, Hank begins to speculate about androids’ love in a rather dreamy voice.

Now let’s look at Connor’s reaction. If he doesn’t kill Tracy, his LED turns yellow.

But when she starts telling him about the murdered man and about the fact that she wanted to return to her beloved, his LED remains blue.

BUT as soon as they run away, he looks at Hank and his LED is yellow again. 

What important is that it happens while Hank’s saying “maybe it is better that way”. Moreover, in this chapter objectively there is a line about the fact that Hank first says that humans have forgotten about feelings, then he reacts not in a positive way to what the owner of Eden club tells him about memory being erased every two hours, and then he is shocked that the androids love each other and was glad that they ran away.

And only then it becomes blue again. And I have a feeling that Connor began to analyze his software glitches as falling in love, because he drew an analogy.

Hank also watches Connor’s reaction for a few seconds with that face.

I have a friend who works in the game industry. She says that any detail in the creation of games is discussed many times, so there can be no accidents when creating a particular scene. Everything makes sense.
