"all men born after 1830 know is twirl moustache, drink, and spout nonsense" - Anton Lavrentivitch (Devils by Doestoevsky btw)
Eurydice's Call
Like the title hints, this painting takes inspiration from the Orpheus and Eurydice myth, capturing Rogozhin’s final 'redemption' of Nastasya.
does this count as blasphemy...?
"Vile and Good"
This started out as a doodle of Mitya and Grushenka as that one photo of the girls and the apple, but it ended up being a depiction of a scene between newlyweds (or perhaps more than that)
I like this closeup

-digital 2024-
i'll never forgive a certain genre of person for fostering this common conception that dostoeyvsky's works are all these horribly depressing, hard to read novels because that man's writing is funny as hell and reads like a long distance friend telling you about a local drama on facetime at 2am
I fratelli karamazov 1969 but sexyback starts playing when alyosha's on screen (ib @godsladyknight )
ivan/katerina - “situazione complicata”
For fun
ivan sequel to my Alyosha painting!
coloring went in a very different direction than I initially expected, but I’m happy with the harsh lighting
he’s on the other side of the Alyosha page so I can flip between them <3
Ivan it’s me the devil I’m here to convince you to do sin
