30-Day Kill la Kill Challenge Day 9: Favorite Outfit - S e n k e t s u
I’m sure these two are clueless about not being awkward
This was far too amusing? And Misaki was rumored to be dating this thing? How very cute indeed. Definitely suited him. A pest as well as supposedly ‘threatening’. Fushimi’s lips continued to creep into a devilish grin, feeling far too amused from this.
He spluttered out a bit of laughter from more of Ryuuko’s threats, not feeling tackled in the slightest. If this was all she was going to do, then this was definitely going to be a boring ride. Fushimi was quick once again, stepping back from her swoop to the shin and shoved his hands in his pockets.
“Really? Is this all you can offer? This is pretty boring if you ask me. You definitely suit Misaki, I must admit. A runt as well as oh-so-threatening!”
She grit her teeth, fists clenched at her sides now that he’d released her. Her eyes narrowed, scowling at the male before her. This guy was definitely an asshole. She wanted to wipe that smirk off his face with a well aimed punch to the face, but why did he have to be so damn tall?!
“Che! If you want me to kick your ass so badly, I will! I’ll wipe that damn smirk off your four-eyed face!” Ryuuko snarled, her anger thrumming in her veins. But then he said something that threw her for a loop.
“Hah? Misaki? Who the hell are you talking about? I don’t know any Misaki.” Was he insane too? Maybe he had a screw loose or something. “HAH?! A runt?!” Her eyebrow twitched, expression souring. “Oi, oi! I’d rather be short than have an ugly monkey face like yours!”
can’t feel the heat in my blood || mika & ryuuko
The fresh blood that spilled from the slash on her back, spattered the floor and walls, stirred the audience into a tumult, also made Mika’s grip on his sanity waver. Just for a moment, the world seemed to disintegrate around him, reduced to nothing more than the hot scent of blood that flooded his senses, stirring his hunger into dreadful wakefulness. He took one eager step closer to the girl, mouth slightly agape, almost ready to leap upon his hapless victim.
Then a tiny voice pierced through his muddled thoughts and halted him in his step, leaving him blinking as awareness slowly returned to him. This wasn’t good. He was even hungrier than he’d thought, and needed blood now. But he couldn’t… Not here, not hers. What he needed was back in his room, stowed away in his suitcase, and buried underneath his various other belongings in case anyone took the liberty to peek into his belongings unwanted. He had hoped to be rid of her already, though she possessed a tenacity that made her surprisingly hard to get rid of. But if he continued to stay here, waging this pointless battle, how long could he last? Maybe she would back off, now that he had cut her, and fall back to lick her wounds. But this hope, too, was dashed with the enraged roar that burst from the girl’s throat, and he looked up to see her rushing at him, weapon swinging, mindless of all else but the fury that gripped her so wholly in its unforgiving grasp.
Mika’s eyes hardened back into a cold regard as he reacted, stepping swiftly aside to dodge her reckless charge. He heard a soft hiss as the weapon flew past him, cutting through the flesh on his shoulder with nary a wince from him in response, and then he was turning, sword flashing out towards her exposed belly. Eventually, she would surely back down. Or she would die, more unnecessary blood to stain his hands. But what did something like that even matter to him anymore?
She could feel the strain on her body, her muscles fighting every step of the way. She ignored it though, blocking out the heaviness creeping in as she forced herself to keep going, to keep moving. Senketsu tried desperately to warn her...but she was still lost to her anger.
He wouldn’t be able to support her like this, and the angrier she got, the more blood flooded through her veins and into him by association. He was really overloaded..and she’d be passing out soon without fail. Yata would certainly be mad..and the uniform felt guilty there wasn’t anything more he could do to help her.
The blade dug into her skin and she whirled around, swinging her own blade at his head. Taking on as much damage as she was, purposefully..She was needlessly reckless. She had always been that way, but it was no more apparent than when she was so angry.
Maybe she was a monster after all.
Her vision swam and she staggered. Her breath came in heavy gasps and Senketsu tried his best to hold her back, but there was nothing he could do as she tried to stay on her feet. But already, too much blood had been used.
She grit her teeth and tried to swing the blade again, but her movements were sluggish and unbalanced. She’d used too much power.
Could it be..she wasn’t strong enough to face her father’s killer? Or rather, had she let her anger get the better of her, resulting in a clumsier fight?

birthday wishes || [Ryuuta]
He was just about done by the time he heard the knock on the door and called for her to come in. He’d only made about four sandwiches- two for each of them but he was still hopeful that they’d find a grill at the beach or maybe some food vendor like the last time they’d gone. Thinking on it now, he remembered all the embarrassing things that had happened. Pinning that flower to her hair and complimenting her.. That was the first time he told her about Mikoto too. He chuckled fondly as he put the sandwiches into a lunch box and rushed to meet with Ryuuko.
Yata practically braked, stopping abruptly, grin vanishing as he stared at her in surprise. Oh, he remembered that bathing suit from last time! But it still looked nice on her.. Actually, shouldn’t he say something nice to her? She’d gotten really embarrassed the first time he complimented her but she had seemed appreciative.. He swallowed hard, cheeks flushing as he stared down at his feet.
“Y-You.. look nice.. Er, c-c…” He swallowed again. He’d try and say it properly this time. “… cute.” Nailed it! Although he didn’t exactly feel like celebrating with how nervous he felt. But maybe it’d be worth it if it made her happy,..?
“A-Anyways, you’re ready to go, right?” He slowly and shyly lifted his head up to try and give her a grin. He moved forward to open for the door for her and then shut it behind them as soon as the two were out, making sure to lock it so no weirdo got any funny ideas about breaking in.
Yata trekked the way from the dorms in the direction of the beach, box held in one hand and a couple of towels thrown over his shoulder. He hadn’t even realized how close they were walking as his hand bumped hers and he immediately went to apologize. Although, he’d be lying if he thought he didn’t want to hold it. But it was still embarrassing.. Would she object if he tried to slide his hand in hers? He glanced at her, noting how tiny she was in comparison to him and gulped.
Finally building up the nerve and finding some excuse, his hand bumped into hers once again but this time he slowly slid his into hers, feeling along it so he’d know where to thread his fingers with hers. “T-This is just so you don’t get lost, okay?!” His face was bright red again and he had to turn his head away so she wouldn’t see.
She only entered the moment she heard his invitation, grateful to see there would be no awkward encounters so far. That was an immense relief.. Her grin widened as he rushed towards her, but she paused when his grin faded. “Mm? What is it?” She paused, glancing down at herself. Was there something weird? Or maybe he was remembering the circumstances that led up to her obtaining this swimsuit.
But the words that left his mouth caught her completely off guard. It was true that he’d tried to say them before, but this was the first time he’d managed it without stumbling over the word or cutting himself off. Heat rushed to her cheeks as her eyes widened, something of a small squeak leaving her lips. “E-eh?” H-had she even heard him right? He’d definitely called her cute this time.
“T-thanks..” She murmured, twirling a piece of hair around her finger. It was a rush of warmth as her heart skipped. A grin twitched at her lips and she bit her lip, slowly dropping her hands to slide them into the pockets of her jacket. “Y-yeah, I’m ready to go.” She was really trying her hardest not to grin like an idiot, but she was currently failing. Today was certainly shaping up to be the best birthday she’d ever had. If celebrating it like this felt this good, then she wouldn’t complain about the effort he’d put into this at all.
The silence between the two of them was amiable and comfortable as they walked. Ryuuko found herself feeling pretty excited to be heading to the beach with him again. It’d be..different now that they were dating. That was enough to send her heart racing again..not to mention the jolt that ran through her system as their hands collided. “O-oh, ah..don’t worry about it..” She smiled, feeling her cheeks stinging once more. “Accidents happen.”
Her skin was tingling where his hand had brushed hers though. Come to think of it, they hadn’t really held hands yet, had they? Would his hand be warm..? She didn’t really have long to dwell on it as his hand once again bumped hers. But this time, he allowed his hand to slide into hers, lacing their fingers together. Her breath caught in her throat as her heart slammed against her rib cage.
So that was the excuse he was going with? Honestly, how was she going to get lost on their way to the beach? Still, there was a shy smile on her face as she gave his hand a soft squeeze. “M-mm. I won’t get lost,” she nodded in agreement. She was nervous but...it was a good feeling. She was..happier than she’d been in a long time.

Yata nearly jumped, startled that the voice was practically right beside him and spun to find Ryuuko. Of course, he should have known. She’d mentioned it… that one time. But still, he was so used to seeing her wearing Senketsu. It was practically all she wore. Could she really blame him?
“Y-Yeah!” He gulped. The memory of her wearing this before flashed through his mind.. Although that time she hadn’t exactly been wearing it properly. With everything on she actually looked.. really good. Really, really good. It made his heart race and his face flush.
“Oh, yeah, di– What did ya wanna do? H-Have you eaten yet?” They could always stop by his stall for some food. He could guarantee the taste since he’d worked so hard on teaching everyone how to make it properly, but he was also up for some games too. Or any attraction that was going on. He guessed one of the good things about being so immersed on working on the festival was that he hadn’t paid much thought to what else would be there. He’d even forgotten for a while that Ryuuko’s class was doing a maid cafe, but that was probably because he had absolutely no plans to go and visit it.
Okay, she outright laughed when he jumped, recalling another time when she’d done the same thing after he’d accidentally texted her to join him at the beach. She cocked her hip to the side, a wry grin on her face. Really, she was hardly a proper maid, but there had been no wriggling out of it, no matter how hard she tried.
He was definitely pretty red, though when she thought about it, the last time he’d seen her in this, she’d been half dressed and they’d both freaked out. Of course, she’d also ended up confessing and kissing him then..which meant this would be more of a date than hanging out, huh? N-not that she really minded that.
“A-ah? Oh, no I haven’t..Just got off, and I figured since we’d promised to go hit up all the food stalls, I’d just wait for you..” She rubbed the back of her neck, though everything smelled pretty good, so she could deny the fact she was starving. Especially when she had to keep carrying food and drinks to people. How she managed to carry the tray without spilling everything was nothing more than a small miracle. “Mm..If you haven’t eaten yet, then we can go hit something up. I know there’s takoyaki and a bunch of fried food.”
“What was your class doing, by the way?”
“Yeah! Let’s wait for him! Will you play with me in the meantime, Ryuuko-nee?”
“Sure, I’ll play. What do you want to play?”

More Ryuko for a friend
“But I haven’t seen him in a while… He said he went on a mission, but it’s been 4 years…”
“Four years, huh..Well, if that’s the case, he’s probably working hard for you. Tell you what, you can stay with me until he comes back? If we don’t find him.”
gangster-kun and maid-chan || ryuuta
It had been such a pain when the festival had been announced and the entire class all had their own individual idea’s. Then again being able to participate and work together with everyone didn’t sound so bad.. Somehow the votes has been tired. He couldn’t remember what other stupid thing the class had wanted but he had voted for a fried rice stand so that was what kept him busy for the next few weeks to prepare for.
They hardly needed to use the hot plate while Yata was there. In order to conserve energy he used his own fire as he cooked. He was even pretty sure at one point some guy even tried to order his fire to eat or something weird like that. Hours passed and Yata checked the time on his phone. It was about that time, wasn’t it? But still.. he couldn’t just leave everyone there like this when they were so busy.
That was when he felt a slap on his shoulder and turned to find his classmate who told him to take a break and enjoy the festival. The male grinned excitedly and flew off as soon as reinforcements came, although now they’d actually have to turn on the hot plates and wait for them to heat up.. Ryuuko’s classroom was somewhere on the third floor, wasn’t it? He made his way up there but couldn’t remember which classroom. Oh, right. Follow the maids. Or at least peak inside each one and the answer would probably be pretty obvious.
Of course he never got his chance as someone loudly called out his name, startling him and plenty of others in the hallway. He whipped his head around and walked briskly in the direction of the voice and.. “Ryuuko?” He couldn’t be sure but his hearing was pretty good and he could have sworn it was around here.. He’d completely forgotten that Ryuuko would actually be in uniform this time so he completely missed her even though he was practically standing right beside her, his eyes scanning the area for a familiar sentient uniform..
She stared at him, not quite sure if she should laugh or be irritated. Did she really look that different in this dress? Honestly, he was standing right there. “Ahem,” she coughed into her hand, placing her hand on her hip as she raised an eyebrow.
“Oi, Yata, did you forget I was part of the maid cafe for this?” Not that she could blame him if he’d blocked out walking in on her changing. Still, she had thought the red streak would make her recognizable at least, but then again, maybe he was looking for something more recognizable. Of course she’d be harder to spot if she wasn’t wearing Senketsu.
The corners of her mouth lifted into a grin as she tilted her head to the side. “I’m right here, you know,” she stated, deciding it was best to just go with amusement. Wasn’t like it was a bad thing anyway. It was pretty funny anyway. She still couldn’t believe he hadn’t spotted her when she was right there.
“So you got your break too? Pretty lucky we got ‘em at the same time!” She was more than relieved to find she wouldn’t be waiting on tables for a while at least. She definitely did not want to do this ever again. Though she was doing a surprising job, it was hard to keep herself from blushing the entire time.
“He’s suuuuuuuper tall, and has orange hair, and a slight beard!”
“Well, he doesn;’t sound too hard to find...Let’s see what we can do.”
