“Hey, you with the croissant.” Percy pointed a finger in the direction of a teenage girl. The uniform clad student had been batting her eyelashes and giggling at Yein’s every word for the passed five minutes. While Percy understood he had a job to do, every second spent talking to other people meant less Yein time for her.
The schoolgirl wasn’t the only one to ogle her new baker friend either, oh no. Men, women, teenagers, the elderly. They all did it. Yein was cute, Percy knew that much, but he also had a quality about him that seemed to bring out Percy’s protective side. Which came as a shock to her, considering she didn’t even know she had more than one side. “Yes you, move along, this one’s mine.” She gestured towards the door with one hand, while the other lazily shoved bread in her mouth.
Yein was always quite oblivious to any ‘”ogling” that went on, he always just thought they were being nice and he was just doing the same. Percy was a little more outspoken than most people he’d met though, which was both a blessing and a curse.
“Yah, noona~” Yein whined bashfully at the older woman as she shooed off the young customer. “I’m going to stop giving you the extras if you’re going to scare away all the people actually buying things!” He threatened back, as if he ever followed through with any of his threats. He tried at least, but he was weak and had a hard time saying no to anyone. “And I’m going to put a Percy Tax on all your purchases. And... other... scary things.”
