OOC—
To those I've been lagging replies and starters too. I am so sorry for taking so long. I've been having serious problems and will probably get to them within the next three days before I leave on a hiatus on Monday. I've been getting panic attacks and was just discharged from the hospital last night. Thus I had replied to threads one at a time. I apologize for the slow replies and I want to welcome the new members of the Uni! I'll stop by to greet you all individually later ! ^^
▪▪▪ { ❛ stuck in the middle —
"stuck…?" the girl repeats after him quietly, widened hues fixated upon the boy’s fingers as they slowly move over the buttons. nana was just as lost as he was — she had heard about elevators stopping on people, and some being stuck for hours upon end — but the idea of that happening to her was something that never passed her mind. well, not at least until now. “you’d think that things like this would hardly happen at a place like this…” she unknowingly thinks out loud as slowly rotates her body while her eyes peer up at the corners of the elevator, looking for a camera or monitoring device of some sort — they would have to see that the two were stranded and come soon, right? it would only make sense. as the low, baritone voice of the male suddenly registers in her ears once more, nana turns around to face him as he asks his question, her gaze slowly flickering to the button before returning to his face once more. “i guess so…” she started, confusion apparent in her tone, “this is my first time getting stuck in an elevator so… i’m not really the best person to ask questions to,” she mentions with a chuckle, lithe fingers running through brunette hair with a tinge of restlessness.
it wasn’t until a few minutes afterwards that nana spots the camera that she was searching for — right behind her, a place that she hadn’t checked before. an arm reaches upward so that she can tap upon the tiny lens once, twice, three times before waving at it once, and the girl mentally prays that someone is watching them from the control panel room, sending help to their direction. a sigh escapes past rosy lips as she brings her attention back to the boy before her, still confused as she was and she assumes that he’s probably calculating what to do next. although it was odd to be stuck in such a small confinement with someone that you knew absolutely nothing about, she was happy that this guy didn’t seem to be panicking or having an anxiety attack about the situation at hand. that alone made the situation a lot easier to deal with. “i guess there’s nothing else to do but wait, yeah?” another chuckle is heard from the girl when the idea to introduce herself materializes in her mind — it would be nice to have a name attached to the face of the other. “i’m nana, a junior,” she starts, feeling her hair slip off of her shoulders as she bows her head lightly, “we might as well get to know each other, since we don’t know how long we’re gonna be in here. are you… in sigma alpha, by any chance? you look a little familiar, actually.” she adds in, a finger pointing in his direction as she faintly squints her eyes, trying to think where she recongized his face from.
"Tell me about it. I never really though I would ever be stuck in an elevator too" Mark leaned against the railing with his eyes fixated on the floor keypad. "It's like a scene from a movie don't you think?" He remained calm. There was nothing they could do but to wait for someone to help them. Mark leaned in and pressed the emergency button on the pad consistently and hoped for help to come soon Checking his phone, there was very little to no signal in the elevator. "I hope we'll be able to get out of here soon."It's my first time too and last time hopefully." He finally turns to face the brunette female and smiles.
Nana's attention was then turned and Mark cocked his head to see what she was looking at. It was a mini camera. He watched her tap the lens of the camera consistently and couldn't help but chuckle. "Let's hope someone is there." Mark let out a small sight until her ears were perked as the female spoke once more. "Yeah. Really nothing to do but wait." When the female had introduced herself, Mark felt as if he had seen her before. "Nice to meet you, Nana. I'm Mark. Also a junior." At the mention of his fraternity, Mark vaguely remembered her from a party the greeks had not to long ago. "Yeah. I'm from Sigma Alpha. You look really familiar too. Are you from Chi Sigma Psi?"
Because of Twitter // Mark and Yukie //
”That’s because I try hard.” Yukie giggled a little. If she ate too much she knew that gaining weight would be inevitable. ”Good then! Pancakes with whipped cream! Ah, I’m even more hungry now.” Blushing softly, Yukie glanced at the menu and then ordered her pancakes and some water. ”Just a sandwich? Cool.” She said. Reaching for her wallet, Yukie took some money but he had already paid. ”H-Hey! I didn’t give you the permission to pay for both!” Yukie sighed and followed him, sitting down in front of Mark. ”My classes are random.” She said. ”Mostly boring stuff, like economy, government, biology and math.” Yukie sighed. ”And yours?”
"You're fine the way you are though. Really." Mark tried to assure the female. "Let's just say it's my treat okay? I don't think I need your permission to pay for you. I want to pay for it so don't be angry at me." The male chuckled and grinned. "Class wise, I'm taking English, statistics, psychology, web development and self defense. I'm a dance major though so my classes are quite random too. I find biology kind of boring too actually." Mark nodded along. He hated government and biology. The sciences especially were not his specialties but he was good enough to pass the classes.
Underestimated | Mark ✮ Tomomi
A laugh escaped her lips as she threw her body against the mat. It’s been the third time she did a backflip -and barely succeeded- that day. Her face was red and sweaty. She was breathing heavily, panting and out of breath. Brushing a lock of hair away, she got up to take her water bottle and drink. Class wasn’t going to be over anytime soon so it’s best she saved her energy for later. Sitting down somewhere in the sidelines, she observed the others kicking and throwing punched in the air.
"Hey you!" yelled someone from a meter away. It was one of her classmates though she can’t recall his name. He approached her, wide-eyed and beaming. "My friend wants to spar with you. That one right there." he pointed across the room and her eyes landed on a red-haired boy. He was leaning against the wall, looking at the others practice, just like her. Shrugging, Tomomi turned to the other guy and nodded. "Okay. I’ll spar with him."
Standing up, she walked over to one of the empty mats and stretched. The exhaustion was starting to get to her, but another spar won’t hurt. She swung her arms a few arm to test it out. They were starting to get a bit stiff but she’ll manage. Tomomi has always been pretty athletic and fit. She somehow managed to bottle a good amount of strength inside her modest body. Not to mention, she is very agile and quick. Among all the people that has challenged her, she’s only lost to a select few. They were all bigger and stronger than her of course, thus appealing to her as a senior. Her gaze once again jumped to her next opponent. She bowed and slightly smirked at him before getting into position.
Mark watched his friend converse with the female. Mark thought it was a bad idea. Judging from her outer condition, her cheeks were flushed and sweat covered her face. Quickly his friend pointed to Mark, causing him to widen his eyes. From the female's facial expression she seemed quite ready for the match. Her lips formed a smirk and a fiery look in her eyes seemed as if she was up for anything. His friend finally rushed back to the male and sat next time him. "Alright. Well you're sparring with her. I'm telling you right now, just because she's a girl doesn't mean she can't fight. Don't go easy." Mark watched his friend run to the side. He mouthed the words "I hate you" and shaked his head. He gave the other male a glare and finally stood up.
Walking to the mats, he watched the female approach. She was at least a head and a half shorter than Mark and looked quite thin. From his perspective, she seemed somewhat fragile and began to think. Mark stretched out his arms and tried to loosen his legs. He wasn't sure whether or not to take his friend's advice or to just go "easy" on her. She was a female. Mark was always told to never hit or fight with girls. However, this was a sparring class so either way he would probably go easy on her. She was finally in front of him and he flashed her a small smile. He bowed and finally got into position.

[ to: m☺rk - maybe a few bruises ]
[ to: m☺rk - outside of the library ]
[ to: m☺rk - you went to a cafe without me? that’s not fair ): run. i don’t want a warm smoothie -_- ]
the good thing was that the cafe wasn’t too far from campus, he got lucky this time. chuckling under her breath, she finally decided to get out of bed. not that she cared too much about him seeing her in three-sizes-too-big sweatpants and shirt, but if they were going out in public, she didn’t want to look homeless.
after staring aimlessly at her closet, she narrowed her outfit down to a simple pair of dark wash skinny jeans and a red plaid collared 3/4 shirt. before changing into her bottoms, she tended to the quarter sized wound on her knee, wincing as she poured peroxide over it before sticking on the band-aid. tugging her hair back into high bun, she stuffed her feet into her converse and grabbed her wallet and phone before heading out of her dorm.
reaching the library, she found a bench outside under the shade away from the beaming sun. stretching her right leg out, leaning back on her palms, she waited at their designated meeting spot. not so patiently, though. she wasn’t restless because of waiting, but more so of anticipation. it’d been a while that they actually went somewhere together, being caught up with school work and their own activities only limited their time to hang out. they only really saw each other upon passing time in between classes or if they had outdoor practice on the same day, spotting each other coming back from their separate fields. she was finally going to be able to relax without stressing over every little thing. she smiled to herself as she pulled her phone back out of her pocket.
[ to: m☺rk - i’m at the benches ]
[text — Eunhee☼ ] You have to pay for my hospital bills after.
[text — Eunhee☼ ] i went straight there after practice. wow you should be saying thank you. not telling me to hurry up. so mean ) :
He waited at the pickup station and slipped his phone back into his pocket. The library or near the library was always their typical hang out place. Her love for the library was practically the same like his. His number was then called and Mark was broken from his thoughts. Quickly he tipped his head at the barista from behind and grabbed the cup of smoothie. Mark slipped his duffle bag onto his right shoulder and checked his phone once again as the notification sound went off.
[text — Eunhee☼ ] Okay i'll be there soon.
Mark exited the campus cafe and walked over to his destination. He was glad that it was near by and that the weather was not too hot. The drink would probably go warm and gross to her liking if it did. Not far from the benches, Mark could make out her figure and quickly walked over. He had not hung out with Eunhee in ages and was glad to get some catch up time. Finally in front of the female, he passed the smoothie over and sat right next to her. "Did you miss me? I know you did. Just kidding. What's up?"
Hunting Cupid | Mark ★ Sehun
Rolling his eyes, Sehun shoots him down a glare and retorts, “At least I don’t come home shirtless regardless of how drunk I am!” Waving a hand airily, he shakes his head and sighs, “I know I’m entertaining when I’m drunk but no need for records.” Sehun could only imagine the stupidity he puts himself through under intoxication, the mental image of it was enough for him. “Being the ocd freak you are, you won’t let that happen.” And Sehun has never been glad! Not that he didn’t have the capabilities to clean of course but Mark was too fun to have around a dirty room, since he couldn’t stand the thought of it.
As his friend listens intently at his story, Sehun couldn’t help but chip in, “It wasn’t all that terrible though, but neither was it the best. She cried to me once after her break up and it was one of the few moments where she seemed so vulnerable. But after that night, it was as if he didn’t even exist at all.” Nodding his head at the memory, he continues, “She’s a strong girl so she’s probably long over it. If I wasn’t such an asshole, maybe I would have liked her too.” Whistling playfully, he says, “She’s too good for me though.” Throwing the same exact pillow Mark threw his way earlier, Sehun gasped a loud, “Hey!” and laughed at his joke. “What do you mean stupid?! If it wasn’t for me, you would have never met Jiwon again! So you should be thankful for me. And how am I suppose to know, some guys strangely like it when girls take the initiative.”
"Alright fine. That was only once though okay." Mark couldn't help but laugh and shake his head. "You should pay me every time I come over a clean your room. Shouldn't be no free service for you anymore." Mark rolled his eyes and smiled.
Mark listened as Sehun gave a brief story about Jiwon. From Sehun's story, Mark could make out that she had her moments but was a strong girl. He had a good impression on Jiwon and knew she was a sweet girl. "A girl too good for Sehun? Never heard anything like that come out from you before Sehun. I'm surprised you haven't. You guys have been friends for so long." Mark laid back onto the couch and chuckled. "I mean I guess you are right about that. Alright fine. Thank you, Sehun." Mark batted his eye lashes and smiled widely. "I guess. It wouldn't hurt for girls to take the initiative actually."
Three's A Crowd // Sehun + Mark + Jiwon
By now, Sehun has fully grasped that Jiwon and Mark almost slept with each other, despite it bringing about the strangest feeling inside. The practical thought of the two in the back of Mark’s car made his stomach churn but at the same time, it made him want to laugh in entertainment. Who would have thought that his two best friends would be going at it? Now he could only feel a little silly that the thought of introducing the two earlier never occurred. Good thing Jiwon is acting confidently because honestly, if this was somebody else, Sehun and Mark would both probably be too lost for words.
Taking a peek at Mark makes Sehun want to laugh out loud uncontrollably because the boy looks utterly hopeless. He’s dying inside and Sehun knew better that he was probably desperately trying to come up with a plan b of some sort to get himself out of the sticky situation. “Well,” Sehun finally breaks the awkward atmosphere, attempting to mile at Mark encouragingly. He almost wants to whisper ‘It’s okay man, you got this’ because he looks absolutely uncomfortable. “I think— maybe I should— uh… you two should talk?”
He still was not sure on what to do. It was one of the most awkward situations Mark was ever a part of. Looking at Sehun, the male found it hilarious inside. Mark tried to come up with another plan. Running away all of a sudden was not going to make the situation any better. If anything, it was better to talk to the female he almost slept with. The atmosphere was tense and dead quiet for a couple of minutes. Mark was not sure if he should break the silence or whether or not to just sit and keep his mouth closed. Finally, Sehun broke the silence. "You should just stay here a bit longer, Sehun." He did not want his best friend to leave instantly. It would have been weirder if he had just left the two alone. Mark turned his attention to the female in front and smiled awkwardly.
