Yohan must have left for quite a while Eden went to find him instead of waiting as she was told. He was getting them food and he even traded the last branded shoes ( that he was wearing ) for the money.
He was so laser-focused on making money, he lost sight of what had kept him going.
Yohan searched for Eden. He had a feeling that his dog would be waiting in an alley somewhere since Yohan would frequent the back alleys to search for any thugs who had anything worth selling on them. Eden helped sometimes by sniffing the lowlives out but Yohan didn’t want Eden to get hurt. Though somehow that dog kept on getting lost and Yohan would scramble to his feet to find her.
[How many stomps does it take to kill a dog?]
Yohan thought he had seen the worst of humans, living on the streets. He was one of them. But he had never thought of beating up someone to death as he had felt that day ( that wasn’t Gun ). That was quite a feat.
His foot rose and with a sharp kick, Yohan slammed the animal abuser’s chin down to crush or be crushed on asphalt. He didn’t care.
They wanted to know the answer so Yohan thought he should answer it by demonstrating it himself. How many stomps would it take to shut up an asshole?
Huh. Apparently, it didn’t take much to beat someone up for talking shit until all of them laid motionlessly on the ground. His anger subsided as soon as Eden bumped her head into Yohan’s leg.
That’s right, he should properly thank the one who had protected his Eden in his absence.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,”
His unruly bangs covered one of his eyes. The bad one that looks visibly discoloured. The one that would give him away.
[You don’t have much time left, at this rate you will go blind first.]
He wondered if he would be able to take care of his family once he goes blind. His mother’s happiness was robbed by losing her sight, he saw it first-hand how it changed her. He didn’t want to become like her. He needed to cure her. He needed her to be happy again. He needed her to smile again.
He could only do that if he has enough money.
And yet, he can’t even put shoes on his feet.
He held his head down for a moment longer before straightening himself and walking away from the alley with his dog tailing behind. He’s not giving up. He still had his job at the job center. He’ll sell more shoes when he’s not needed at the center. It was simple to him, disregarding the fact that he could lost his job because of his eyes… But what the director doesn’t know wouldn’t hurt him. It’s not like his eyes ever stopped him.
What is God Dog, the one-man crew,
but Seong Yohan persevering?
