There remained an underlying spill of fluster beneath his demeanor, somewhat palpable if one were to pay it any mind– it was playful, in a sense, but Jinam’s attention appointed itself toward the light-hearted insult that he’d never actually grown to understand in his time around those before him. “I spent a lot of time at the book place! The one where you can read for free and all that… it’s oddly quiet in there.” The younger remarked as an afterthought, canine sinking against his lower lip thoughtfully. “Do you ever wonder why it’s so quiet? I think it has something to do with concentration but– I don’t think that helps! I was almost falling asleep so I had to play a bit of music and–”
He surely knew how to ramble, a talent only he could feature best, as much kept evident as he’d finally found a way to reign in his thought process, shrinking back instinctively. Jinam never knew when to stop more than likely because he was unaware of when he’d started, to say the least. It wasn’t until it’d grown late into his mistakes that he’d come to an absent realization, most of which had to be indicated by a quizzical stare, or a subtle roll of the eyes.
Crispin reacted otherwise, choosing silence as he spoke, and it was a little less awkward for Jinam to take the hint in situations as such, mildly comfortable in the other’s presence; he found their relationship to be that of an effortless one, riddled with smaller moments of tease, more so outlined by their similarities. He wasn’t necessarily sure why Crispin would allow him a chance at friendship when he was somewhat of a socially inept mess, but he was certainly grateful. Brows knitting, he lifted his gaze, “What if you do… Think about it, that’d be really cool! You’d be the tallest person I know.”
{👽—SS } Tilting his head he tried to paint a clear picture in his mind to what the other was speaking about but he couldn’t put his finger on it till the mention of books lead him there easily. “ Jinam.. Cutie I think you’re referring to a Library, they’re supposed to be quiet, it helps people concentrate better or some shit like that. I personally think the people who work there just have huge sticks up their asses and didn’t want loads of people taking about bullshit where they had to hear it so they made it a quiet environment. "
Amused by the fact that Jinam continued to ramble on he just listened. It always seemed like the better route, Crispin knew Jinam had tons to say and if no one would listen to it he would take one for the team every time. ” I think if I were the tallest person you knew then we’d be stared at often while out in the open with these people. . And we already get stares cause of you being around I think that’s enough. I’ll just keep my height. “
“A..-- library!" He repeated, the term coining itself to memory as a touch of awe wrote across his expression; for one of his favorite places, Jiwoong had a bit of trouble remembering the name, seeing as he could often be found with his nose buried against the pages of a book, collecting information on things he could have done without knowing. With a subtle shift in features, disagreement remained obvious, detailed along his features. “I don’t understand why they have to be so quiet... did you know that music stimulates the brain? Quietness allows the mind to wander, and it can bring harm to one’s attention...” Frowning some, the younger rocked back and forth on his heels. “Why not just study to a familiar tune? It makes things easier, but I mean-- I guess everyone’s different.”
Pressing his lips together once more, a subtle movement of crimson crept beneath his cheeks-- he didn’t like to be caught rambling this often, the need to apologize rather strong. “They don’t stare that often...” He reasoned, clearly apologetic; Crispin wasn’t much of a fan when it came to attention, but he liked spending time with the elder.
