Thank you all for the questions, the discussions, and yes, even the corrections (y’all kept me on my toes 😭). I genuinely appreciate the help in finding more information because chile… this has been a ride from start to finish. Some of my original thoughts definitely did a full 180 once I started rechecking my receipts again.

I’m going to go back, reread, and clean up my posts by fixing things, swapping links, and making everything a little less chaotic.

I’ll still be keeping an eye on the situation, but I’m not running a Milo fan club or a hate page, so unless something new actually pops up (or we hear about those refunds 👀), I’ll be minding my business. Well that is, after I put up a few more writing related posts. I'm going sit down and try cause it's now summer break.

That said, I’ve always been really interested in patterns of behavior, so I hope that came through clearly in everything I had shared (with just a little personality mixed in).

With that said....

There was definitely someone acting as a turncoat, because Milo found out pretty quickly that I was posting about the new series he had started back in November. The thing I caught the most flak for was posting his Pinterest, with most comments saying that I had gone too far. However, I only brought up his Pinterest because, as mentioned in @cheatsheetproductions' video (here) and in my own post (here and here), Milo already knew he wasn't going to finish the Age of Scorpius before he went to Finland.

what is hoochie coquette and why racism in the coquette tag goes unchecked

as we all know. coquette is supposed to be a subculture that embraces girlhood and femininity and a joie de vivre for everyone. if that's the case, why are black girls held to such narrow and frankly eurocentric standards?

We need to be more honest about how we view black girls in the community and the racism they face.

This is just a snapshot of the hatred we recieve here for trying to make the tag as inclusive as possible. Everyday we see white girls post random things and it eventually gets absorbed as coquette culture, why are the black girls not the same?

Why is this seen as acceptable black girl femininity

but this isnt?

And I believe that complaining does nothing without action, and I want to be the change I want to see.

So I'm introducing hoochie coquette.

This substyle is based around and caters to the specific displays of femininity crafted by young Black American women. People often deny Black Americans have a culture but that's simply untrue, while it varies from region to region, there are things that unify us: hair bobbles, large gold earrings, long ornate nails, colorful hair, grillz and more. I want to celebrate and show the beauty of the culture we have created, and I no longer wish to alienate the girls people deride as 'ghetto' and 'hoodrats'. These girls are beautiful, funny, smart and an all around good time. Who says they aren't coquette just because they wear Baby Phat instead of Brandy Melville?

I also challenge young Black girls to antagonize why they look down on these types of girls. Are you really better than them or are you internalizing a yt supremacist worldview that causes you to abandon the girls who are your cousins? Your sisters? Your aunts and maybe even your mothers before you were born?

It fascinates me how nobody is talking about the fact that Elrose is like a 40-year-old woman?? Her stake in this project is so bizarre to me, like what are you doing? Why are you maintaining this friendship? Why are you letting yourself get taken advantage of my some guy who’s half your age? Weird stuff.

I’m not going to get into this deeply because it requires more nuance than a quick tumblr reply/post, so I’ll try to keep it short.

tw: going to talk about white feminism, Milo being AFAB.

As a queer Black/Korean woman, I’ve seen something in our spaces we call white feminism. It tends to show up when a white queer woman does something problematic and then another white queer woman will then step in to excuse or soften that behavior. It’s complicated, but it’s something I noticed with Milo, especially found in his old crying videos on TikTok. (Watch them again because they just contain so many breadcrumbs that we missed about any and everything 😫)

I wanted to talk about it before, but I no longer feel comfortable doing so, especially since Milo transitioned before I even had the chance to have that conversation. I did mention it briefly in my first Pattern of Behavior post because I did start those posts before High Disturbance dropped. I didn't post them until way afterward mostly because my ADHD, be ADHDing.

So yeah, I feel like Elrose is on that same train. And I want to be clear: Milo is trans! I’m not arguing with y'all about that. But I’m also not going to ignore where this all started.

It's hard to even discuss some of these issues because it gets this treatment:

Low-key one of the things that bugs me the most right now is the insistence on “professional“ language around the LLC. Still insisting on using the royal “we“ and talking about it as a studio and Milo, avoiding being the one to make any definitive statements and having everything go through Elrose and, if he does make a response, it’s on platforms where the viewers are not paid members like posting an Instagram post or a TikTok instead of on Patreon. Like Milo, dude, the gigs up! Stop trying to pretend that you are on any level, a entrepreneur, or a professional, especially when people are demanding and frankly begging for transparency and accountability. It makes him less trustworthy and less respectable to continue hiding behind the LLC and other people, as someone who continually put his face and his pen name at the forefront of all of this. And now that he is the one who put his face everywhere and marketed himself as well as the book, he can’t handle the logical fallout from it, and Elrose is babying him as if he wasn’t previously touting himself as a ~CEO entrepreneur~ and is STILL attempting to do so via the verbiage surrounding everything

I was thinking about High Disturbance/Alterlife after watching @cheatsheetproductions video last night and it made me think about his social media posts. He posts on certain platforms to kinda hide things. I'm not sure why he is like that but Milo acts as if his some of his audience don't post across multiple platforms. Like they are separate audiences?

Before moving to Patreon, he mostly posted on TikTok. But after the fallout, he would only post on TikTok after it was posted on Patreon. He used to do this on Twitter, but after skipping out on some commissions there, he switched to TikTok. He used to have a discord and I think some drama popped off there. Now he includes it in his lists of triggers (if I find the screencap again, I'll add it). But It's for deniable plausibility.

After Alterlife dropped, he first posted it on tumblr. A place where he never really had posted updates at before. Again, just another instance of him hiding information and acting like the audience here hadn't seen the drama. It makes it hard to follow. Which is why he posted the refund information on Patreon and then waited to post it TikTok last. Those posts about refunds should have been a separate post. Most people are going to skim or get up in other information. That is what bothered me about his coming out as trans. We never get any separate posts any platforms. That information is buried in High Disturbance. And most people didn't want to read all of that or visit his website. I don't visit most author's website if their main source of spreading information is only posted on xyz platform.

But anyway, he is just using Elrose as a shield. I don't feel sorry for her because she is a liar too.

Y'all report him to the FTC. It doesn't matter if you feel sorry for him. He has lied about everything from the first moment he had started posting about The Age of Scorpius. His lies and lack of prompt refunds has already broken FTC consumers laws, plain and simple.

Thinking back to when Milo first posted that video of himself with short hair, and one of the top comments said he looked like Milo from Atlantis. And then within a month he came out and announced his new name. Hilarious if that comment had any influence on him.

We'll never know. I noticed from all of this is that Milo isn't a very creative person. I was talking to someone about Milo's new book, which is misspelled btw, and they had noticed it seems like a Teen Wolf fanfic set in the back drop of Yellowstone.

Oh, the situation with Kaia resembling Katara is even worse than that. See, early in ATLA's development, Katara's name wasn't fully settled. In fact, in the unaired pilot episode of ATLA, the character now known as Katara was named... Kya. Pronounced identically to Kaia. And after the name was changed to Katara for the main run of the show, the name 'Kya' was reused for both Katara's mother AND Katara's eventual daughter.

I'm not going to definitively claim that Milo was elbow-deep in the lore around ATLA's production the way that I am, but if he's even moderately aware of the side characters, he would know one or both of the existing Kyas in ATLA and their relation to Katara. And if he doesn't, that is one hell of a 'coincidence'

I don't think it's a coincidence at all. Like, it's fine to be inspired by things but the fact he goes this far to hide it, that is what makes it beyond strange. It's similar strange in the way he tried to claim he's pioneering a new form of artistic media, aka light novels and mangas. I really don't understand his thought process. Does he think we all don't have access to other forms of media if it isn't through him?

Elrose added an edit to the Patreon and it’s so incredibly snippy. The gall of these people disgusts me.

She’s been complicit in Milo’s behavior, so I don’t have sympathy for her. Not her or Sauli. I know some people think Sauli might’ve been coerced, but from what I’ve seen, they’re equally toxic.

I’ve also gotten some private info about him, and both he and Elrose are around or over 30. They absolutely know better. And a lot of people don’t know Sauli like I do from TikTok. He was rude and snippy with customerd on there too.

it's kind of crazy to me that atla is listed on the triggers section because like. from everything i've heard about kaia(sp?) AND the drawings i've seen of her she is literally a katara expy with leagues less depth. her water magic which even looks like waterbending in some of the art, the fact that she's (ostensibly, in kaia's case) the emotionally in tune member of the group who takes care of ppl, AND. AND. THE FACT THAT SHE FUCKING LOOKS NEARLY EXACTLY LIKE KATARA ESP IN THE ART AND DRESSES LIKE HER TOO. AND HER NAME IS ALSO A K NAME. like when i see the art i literally go "yeah, that's katara" so the fact that atla is listed in the triggers list only for kaia to be written as worse katara is insane to me. even if the visual stuff is just artist license wouldn't milo not want kaia to be drawn sm like a character from a show that apparently triggers his ptsd?? its just fucking crazy to me.

Kaia definitely looks similar to Katara, right down to the blue eyes. Her character also got a major downgrade in terms of clothing and overall design after the Team™️ took over the art. Not to say anything is wrong with Sauli’s work, he’s arguably the best artist on the team, but it feels like Milo wanted to distance himself even more from the Avatar comparisons.

No one is saying you can’t be inspired by other anime, shows, or books. But hiding it is weird. And given his pattern of behavior, it feels like there’s a specific, shady reason for it.
