No Time For Love, a zine by Chloë Sevigny
What a find! Cutting edge German fashion photographer Chris Von Wangenheim (1942 - 1981) used Jayne Mansfield’s actual Pink Palace as a backdrop for a pictorial for the January 1974 issue of Oui magazine. Mansfield, of course, was dead by 1967 so I’m not sure who owned the Pink Palace in ’74 (Ringo Starr? Cass Elliot of the Mamas and Papas? Englebert Humperdinck didn’t buy it until 1976), but Mansfield’s original décor (at least judging by the heart-shaped fireplace and bathtub) was seemingly still gloriously intact. The Pink Palace was demolished in 2002.
