Ah, my favorite season. I always love playing with the rain. And have I told you how I also love EDEN?
Excerpts from my 2016 planner.
Frequent and familiar but weren’t always enough.

"Take a picture not only because it's beautiful, but also because it made you feel something."
Finally have the guts to do this. Yay! I'm selling some of my works through a set of five (5) postcards for only P250. If interested, please visit bit.ly/FeelingsNiBer for more details or send me a PM anytime.
Hong Kong - May, 2016
Maybe this place can be my third home. Here’s to following a dream from three years ago. Accepted or not, at least I’m trying.

I think it is.
But it’s not.
I want to believe it’s worth it. But in the reality we actually live in, there’s a part that is entirely too wrong. We built it with expected disappointments. What we have is real but it’s bound to end with only a heartbreak. Not two, but one.
Bataan, Philippines - April 2016
Finding comfort and discovering contempt in people closest to you, for more than ten years, at a place far away from the city. Far away from your routine. Far from the usual.

Spoken Word: Speak Up
My highschool friends gave events planning a shot. We just wanted something that would encourage young adults in our town to showcase their art. Our frustration back in highschool. And I must say, it was pretty successful. We’re going to have another one this month. So if you’re in Pampanga this July 9, drop by our event. :)
Hong Kong 2016 - Black & white - iPhone 6
There’s something about this place that keeps me coming back for more. Over and over again. There’s always something to discover. Exploring street by street, station by station, gives me comfort. A feeling that you can’t explain through words but may be through photos.
When travelling, I always take my time staying in a specific spot when doing street photography. I usually let my companions leave me since I can find my way back to the hotel or I can just spot them easily after a few minutes. This year, I went with my parents, including the kids, and I really had a difficult time taking photos because they were too strict. They didn’t even let me explore the city at night. So I just settled with my iPhone 6 since my dSLR was too bulky to handle and, again, the parentals were too strict.
Above are my favorite shots I took using my phone. I have this urge to print some of these in large format. Hope I could visit the printing press soon. Send me a message if you’re interested to have a personal copy. :)

fore·ground: the part of a view that is nearest to the observer, especially in a picture or photograph.
But often goes unnoticed.
2015 was an eye opener. I spent most of my time thinking less about myself. I don’t regret anything about it because I learned a lot from other people. People will come and go, no matter how long you’ve known them. They will fade out of your life, but not entirely. But there are some (Hi Jomar and Paige!) who will stay and convince how worthy you are, how good you are, and how you deserve all the things that God has given you. The ones who teach you how to be thankful and appreciate all the things that surround you. The ones who teach you not only to love others, but to love yourself also. The ones that make you feel lucky to have them.
Turning down job interviews was one of those tiny regrets. I’m lucky enough to have a day job where having a freelance job is totally acceptable. But there was never a time that I did not consider quitting just because I don’t see myself doing this in the future. And the thought of not being good enough was one of the main reasons, and it’s still is.
I’ve also turned down some freelance projects because of the same reason. I’ve always thought that there are someone out there who could do it better than me. That the client deserves something, someone better.
I want to experience more things that would improve every aspect in my life. I’m not in a hurry, but I can really feel the need to grow. I also need to learn how to accept myself. To love myself. To be confident. And to be totally thankful everyday. And 2015 made me thought of that.
I told myself that I want to be good enough this 2016, but a great friend (Hi Reena!) told me this instead..
“To realizing that you’ve always been good enough.”
